Mercedes CL500 - Rear Window Module Issues & Access 

Hi guys, just to say I finally found a module on eBay and had it delivered to Spain from the UK for around 90 pounds or thereabouts. It's the luck of the draw what you see, when and how much - I missed a couple through laziness LOL. Anyway, it took 30 seconds to fit and workd perfectly - no programming or anything.

The windows can be fully closed. Probably the previous owners parked outdoor for a considerable period of time which accelerate the rubber seal hardening,

Before buying the rear window module. SCN recode the module. Usually fixes the issues. If not then it will require a replacement unit found cheap on eBay for around $100 to $150 max. A recoding is what fixed mine and has been fine ever since!

I have almost the same problem, but when i open the drivers door window will go completly down and dose not come up when the door is open , but when l shut the door and l m inside ewrything works. The windows go up and down properly. Dose anyone know what the problem might be?

My CL rear window module works but I can hear wind noise generated in between the front & rear window at speed above 80 km/h. Looks like the rubber seal attached to the rear window is "hardened" and not able to provide a complete seal. Any idea how to get it fix? The repair shop told me the only way to fix this is to replace the rear window....

is that module for both rear windows or there is a module for each window ?

Hi my rear quater window won't open all I can hear is a click on that side everytime I try to open it what can it be? Btw the same switch controls the front which works

Might be a long shot especially since this has been a while… I have a 2003 CL 500. already replaced the offside regulator and that window works as intended again. However the driver side for RHD rear window won’t move at all. I hear clicking in the control module for the rear offside window however the rear driver side window won’t make a noise at all not even from the module. It is my understanding headrests work over this module as well and mine don’t move but I hear the module switching or clicking when pressing the headrest button - just window for that drivers side won’t make a click! Figure I should just order a module or could it be the wiring itself? Cheers and thanks

Hi. I got both CL 500 , “ 2000 , grand coupe “ fabulous car !! I really enjoy it .. then I started to have some water pump issue I sold it // then I bought newer model 2006 ( CL 600 , 12 Valves ). Was very very good then I started to have electronic gear box issue .. then coil engine failed put it to a Mercedes specialist .. became chronic the car never recovered ,.... now I am on SUV ... am done with new limousine still have a cabriolet 320ClK ( 2002) and ML 320 (2002 ) old school Mercedes are far better build !! In fact is those one which made Mercedes popular !!!! ( in ex : the 1million km .., Stuttgart museum specimen achievement !!!! )

Awesome video, great content, I have a 04 cl500 my cars doing the exactly the same, do you think a w220 window module may work if they even have or it specific for only w215 chassis?

Hi I'm having a problem with my right rear window it won't move at all even when pressing the buttons and there is no noise but every other window works and the left rear window works too so I have no idea.

Ebay has these units from $50 to 100 and some.
