Hi Mel we were going to fit One of these a couple of months ago and then the windscreen went pop so had a new windscreen fitted with built-in sunvisor works great well done on the one man job instead of three men 2 scaffold Towers and endless cups of tea Take care mate thanks for sharing

Looks Good! And yeah it always is something...I fitted my 15 gallon water tank, filled it and tested it for leaks...the shower head which advertised "on/off" switch, well it seems in the fine print, the "off" is really just a dribble so if you have a furnace you won't lose your adjusted temp...but also makes the pump keep kicking in... so ordered an $10 part that screws into the handle of the shower head and the hose screws into that...should be here today hope it works if not a ball valve will fix it lol. Have fun!

Well done Mel. I had to ask a mate to hold the other side when I fitted mine and luckily he had thin fingers because my fatties didn't help fitting the nuts. Yep I dropped my but also

I did exactly the same Mel, I'm a short arse and needed to get right to the top of the bonnet though. A big dust sheet helps to take the pain away from the knees.

Hi Mel. Lesson of the day is; when storing screwdriver in back pocket. insert handle end first in pocket. that way blunt end is less painful than sharp end. "three blokes a scaffolding rack and stepladder"(one man & his whippet). They must have been falling over each other. Your normal resourcefullness wins out again!. Great video and job.

I fitted one of these to my van last year Mel, they flap about a fair bit in the wind, but don't worry it won't break. We'll mine hasn't so far. Lol.

Mel when I insulate my next van would I be waisting my time gluing the double silver bubble stuff to the van panels before I insulate?, not bothered about time it will take plus I have a big roll given to me, would doing this cut down on outside noise. I put a long g clamp on each pillar and a plank on the top so I had a surface/support to put the visor on. Then I could work from the sides. Not so much core strength needed 🚐☕️☕️👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙏🏼🌈💙❤️💙❤️

Fair Play Mel 😎 I tried this one myself but my body shape didn't allow me to reach over the bonnet like you can 😂😂😂 so I have to wait for a helping hand. Also I got mine second hand and the guy I got it from recommended that I fit it with rivnuts as he had it fitted first with self-tapping screws but after two months it became a bit lose. He later replaced them with rivnuts .they were still tight when he sold it to me 6mts later , He sold it because his wife didn't like the noise it made when driving. @@GM-outdoor Hi Gerben . They are not certified for over 130kmph i have driven 140 it doesent flex or shake . It hasn't made much difference to the noise level . But for the job its supposed to do ( reduce the sun glair in your eyes ) Its works fantastic. .Regards John

Afternoon Mel...I've just taken my roof rack of as the noise it brings ,niggles me. I've a vw crafter and looking at putting a sun visor on. What's it like on motorway for noise wise....is it quite when bumbling along roads. Cheers

Any electrical cables in those A pillars? As for “slipping on that screwdriver”; my wife worked in A&E years ago, and that was a frequent excuse apparently 🤭

Sprinters already have the aerodynamics of a brick with wheels so I wonder how much the fuel economy will suffer with with what is effectively a reverse spoiler O.o Combined with the weight of the camper conversion and the auto gearbox I'm guessing it's averaging under 20mpg D:

Awesome vid as usual Mel. What I want to know is.. despite the wind deflectors and the sun visor looking great, how about a review? Tell us what you think of it and whether it was worth purchasing please? I've been looking at buying them for my Boxer as the sun has been a killer through the vast expanse of windscreen of late. I may as well have just laid down under a magnifying glass. I pity the poor ants we did that to as kids. Anyway, does it work and keep the heat out or just the sun out of your eyes? Cheers Mel :)
