I'm literally doing the same things to my w123! You have been such an inspiration for me to do work myself. However that Center bearing carrier on the drive shaft is intimidating to me. You and Mercedes Source is giving me more confidence that I can do it myself.

Liazon098 I love my W123. I am glad that I am being your motivation, I try to. The center carrier wasn't a huge deal, just takes some time. Make sure you put both pieces of driveshaft back together the same way, basically line up the marks.

VITO'S GARAGE are you just using a cell phone to make videos like this? I think I should document my work as well. And if you're using some simple software, I'm really thinking about just buying it immediately if you have a simple solution. Unless it's like Adobe Premiere let me know :-) I'm going to look into documenting more about my w123

buenas hermano yo tengo una de esa misma transmisión y no aplica o camina y no se como arreglarla estoy en República Domínica y no hay muchas personas que arreglen este tipo de transmisión, y los repuestos son muy caros que tu me puedes decir

my makes a clunck noise when shift first to second

On the gearbox you find a modulator, just follow the vacuum line to the gearbox. Carefully remove the rubber cover from the modulator. Turn clockwise for harder shifting, counter clockwise for softer, start with half a turn only. Making the shifting softer between first and second can result in a flare in higher gears.

Эта... старая РОДНАЯ!!! муфта кардана ещё тыс-200км.пройдет(уж...поверьте,на новой проехал-2600км...и она распалась на куски) и...опять поставил ,,старую родную"...157 тыс.км полёт нормальный!

Hi Eric. You mean, how much I paid? It was a spare engine I've had laying around in the garage for years. I still have that original engine and i am planning to rebuild it fully. Check out my recent videos. I make a lot of videos about these cars. Cheers😊

@@VITOSGARAGE On the way home from my work my engine seized up on me I had plenty of oil in there but I notice it was blown out oil from the front seal .

You can turn it with a socket but it's difficult to Spin the engine.

You did not drain the tork converter (donut).

Everything drained out from it while moving the trans around.

@@VITOSGARAGE o.k agreed,but for a instruction video it would have been nice if you had point it out. You do a nice job on the car. The instrument cluster light is maybe dimmed. You can change it by turning the adjuster that sticks out on the left side.

@@blokhet I don't understand what's the issue.. Everything is straight forward. If you doubt you can't do this job, take it to a real mechanic instead of breaking something

@@blokhet There's an Allen bolt you remove to drain the converter. Turn the engine clockwise by hand until you see the bolt
