it's a bit sad that Mercedes Bens stopped making cars in the name of quality and reliability and started to make cars in the name of the profit. Good cars ended somwhere between 2003 and 2006

@Jx1x3 All these cars are still expensive in Australia. Would make it a lot easier for me if I could actually find some Merc parts in a junkyard.

.. i own a 1997 w210 320 v6 and its lighter on feul than my sisters 2008 hyundai getz 1.4 or my friends 2012 suzuki swift 1.5 ..and mine even has 18 inch amg mags on that makes it get less mpg. and we live in south africa...no w210 rusts a single bit over here..only in the uk ,usa etc it seems.

Yeah, yeah. at 0:54 they Say: The paint needs a clean room to get highest quality. So guess what why all the W210 are rusted so bad?. They found bacillus in the paint tanks. This bacillus gets into the paint and manqué the paint to get clear acess to the metal.

@frenor0302 I'd say the W220 killed MB's rep instead. Those rusted far worse than the W210s and weren't built like the older W140s or W126s. My uncle had a 2000 and problems are to be expected with a early production model but he ended up trading it on a Lexus LS430, not as fun as the Benz by any means but far more reliable.

Weird seeing W210s getting assembled and now they're all getting destroyed in banger racing all over Europe

Too bad this model almost killed MB's good reputation with massive problems with rust. (I drive a MB W212 so I'm an owner as well).

W220 has a 30 years rust warranty. Besides W220 above 2002 are much better, from 1998-2002 that was not a S class.

Wunschdenken und Realität. In diesem Bericht liegen Welten dazwischen!!!!! Habe hier zum Vergleich einen 99er CLK an dem es kein Teil gibt wo der Rost nicht alles porös gemacht hat. Dagegen ein Fiat Punto 176 Cabrio Bj. 95. Da ist noch nichts vom Rost zu sehen. Soviel zur Mercedes Wertarbeit

Schade, dass man ca. 80% auf W124 und W140 Beispiel gezeigt hat (gleich wie erste Teil). Werbung fuer naiv...
