Thats literally what im thinking everytime i see him in the videos as if he is born for this lol! He easily got the personality for his own show! The knowledge and experience also plays a huge part!
You should have seen him in 2014 when he was fighting for the championship, he was great on camera when he got time, he tuned all his own cars so he knew his car inside and out. Shout out to private funded drifters, we need more of you guys back in FD. Also eff the chairman for doing Mike dirty at that drift hall of fame dinner.
What really excites me is the possibility of having this AMG GT and Tim's kit car repaired and road worthy, so the whole DDE squad can go on a rally together. Would be really wholesome and fun to watch. Mark can take his Type R!
You can definitely tell a difference in the relationships Mike has with everyone. They’re always genuinely happy to see him. This was an extremely refreshing episode. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
it gonna need to addon 8x port injectors running m182 in piggyback mode or standalone if someone can make/write a custom firmware for it to function just like stock ecu, DI while normal/low power, all injectors go when high power run. every high power di car do it like that !
Sure He Is… Most Customers Who “Choose” To Take It To Him, Aren’t Exactly Stupid. BUT… Beyond A Factory Block Replacement Cost… There Were No Prices Mentioned. Guaranteed… It’s No Where Close To Inexpensive. He’s Gonna Be Paid Well For His Time. Period.
@@BeerKillenRedneck well it's not an ls or a small block Chevy. Lot of moving parts. But the point was he won't have to start off the rip with 25k for just a block.
Damn they took the sketchy mechanic video down quick. Glad I got to watch it. Steve is probably gone after lying to the boys, and putting them in liability situation.
You believed that? It was all fake yet again. It was so obvious the mechanic was literally smiling and laughing the whole time. Would you be if your employer was accusing you of this. It was taken down because they know most people know it was fake yet again
@@briang1175 idk about it being fake. Damon doesnt do fake videos. He appears to be very concerned and almost awkard that they are in this predicament. As for steve, he has a nervous/sketchy demeanor. He laughs innapropriately at things which makes me believe he has some sort of inability to read the room. If my employer asked me why i made such a big problem for them id be apologetic and very remoseful. Also im sure they had to let steve go due to all of this. And if anything if it was all fake which i dont think it is. Then they got us good. Although the big give away that it wasnt was when they recorded the conversation with the uncle and then skipped over to them saying he threatened to buy the whole block. Two separate feels in the video.
I've said it once and I will say it again, Mike Essa is a HUGE asset to DDE, so natural and likeable on camera. Cant wait to see the GT up and running in a month or so having a blast around The Block.
At this pace he’s the ONLY asset of this brand. Hurts to even call them dde. Those two clowns are doing anything but making good content. Every other video is an explanation about something. I’ll just watch a build series on Netflix then. The fuck.

Mike took this channel to a whole new level being a mechanic myself I love seeing his view and input on all things and I share in his wholehearted excitement and enthusiasm.
I literally just saw that they took down the video. There could be 2 things. If it was real, then it could really damage Steve's career and lead to multiple legal problems from both Steve and the Uncle. Or if it was all written. However, even if it was written, they would have kept it on the channel. And then admitted to it. I'm hoping that both parties can resolve the issue if that vid was real. Best of luck with Steve.
I can agree, but I still like Dave, Idk maybe it's cause i'm closer to his age, and we got plenty to bitch about. Not sure how old you are, but if you're just in your 20's or younger, than you haven't experienced the world like we have, trust me it's there to bitch about. Does he have to make it part of his Persona? No, but it's who he is and he's just being himself. It's almost like you guys are just trying to get rid of both Damon and Dave by crying about them all the time. The two D's made this channel, and ya'll watched for years without Mike, now all of a sudden ya'll are turning on the OG's, Not cool.
Because It was all staged yet again. It was so obvious the mechanic was literally smiling and laughing the whole time. Would you be if your employer was accusing you of this. It was taken down because they know most people know it was fake yet again
Just to make y'all aware, DDE had a pinned comment on the video a couple minutes before they took it down, in which they explained the steven situation is real. Something definitely weird is going on.
What a great new AMG contact. Steve does know these engines for sure. Cannot wait to see Mikes car up and running. So happy for him. I would like to hear more about this new AMG company.
I actually got through the entire thing. Steven had said that the dude wasn't his blood uncle, and then they end it on a fade to black, to be continued, after his "uncle" says " You know I'm not really his uncle?" Like it was some kind of huge revelation.
The comment section on the video that was deleted was insane. Damon and Dave called their EMPLOYEE Steven out on a lie THAT COULD RUIN THEIR BUSINESS but DDE fans act like they threw a cherished family member under the bus??? Shout out to Dave for calling out Steven's sketchiness from day one and stomping this out before it became a channel killing problem.
Were you born yesterday? It was deleted Because It was all staged yet again. It was so obvious the mechanic was literally smiling and laughing the whole time. Would you be if your employer was accusing you of this. It was taken down because they know most people know it was fake yet again
@@briang1175You've never seen someone laugh or smile because they were uncomfortable? Were you born yesterday? Besides I wasn't commenting on whether the video was scripted or not, I was referring to the amount of commenters that were defending Steven's sketchy behavior
Not going to lie I know absolutely zero about engines, never worked on one in my life...but I can listen to these conversations so easily, says a lot about this content. So entertaining and informative.

Good video Nate! Your input was minimal, and the questions or comments were meaningful. Not trying to come off as a comedian!.....Just right coming from behind the camera!! Thumbs up !!
@@steveaj1985mark was on the blog a day or so ago, but I just can’t appreciate his style at all, I think he tries too hard to be funny but he really isnt
Im pretty sure Steven’s gone I remember a vlog a month ago when he brought his uncles car to the shop, Damon brought up bringing cars to the shop and it seemed like he was upset about it at first even if it was a Lamborghini, they were probably upset he’s taking the time to fix his cars or his uncles and not completely fixing Damon and Dave’s cars
My name is Amala Flores. My dad was the first one in the 60s that put a coffee can in the Pistons be the first and he’s actually recognized the one that ever did it.
So just wanted to put this out there. The reason I love your channel (and buy merch) is things like this. As a guy who might one day buy a kinda expensive dream car (I don’t think i can ever afford a Lamborghini or a Ferrari) something like this is “what if” I absolutely love it. Watching something that i can inspire to do, makes me feel like I’m part of it. That’s the key. The Bentley is something different, difficult and fun. Love it. Seeing the struggle and excitement of the crew and wanting to do stuff is amazing. The Damon, Dave show is also something i love to watch(long time viewer) Crazy antics with the Lamborghini’s and beating the Ferrari to death is fun and then watching your crew (great guys) fix your stuff is even more fun. Reminds me watching Damon sitting in a garage back in the day waiting watching the mechanic fix his Lamborghini that he blew something up at 3am. I can’t live rich and drive a senna (sell it) but i can dream about owning a AMG
What an incredible story of passion and perseverance! The fact that you're breathing new life into this AMG GT, despite the challenges, is a testament to your dedication and love for the craft. The journey is just as important as the destination, and I'm loving every minute of this series! Your project is an inspiration to anyone who's ever faced a seemingly insurmountable obstacle. Keep pushing forward, and I can't wait to see this beauty roar back to life!
I hope this build works out for Mike. The excitement he got listening to the AMG GT sitting outside, was priceless. Should be awesome. He deserves this build to go well!
Mike Tim and Steven are the glow in this channel.Mark needs to stick filming not talking about things that he doesn't know the only Mechanic's in DDE is Mike Steven and Tim let them talk.
Can you please explain why you would take down the latest video of Steven? Just publish part 2 and release the whole story, rip off the bandage and move on! 👍🏻

@@briang1175 I don't think this video was staged. You say Steven was smiling the whole time, that what he always did. And sometimes constantly smiling and laughing is a sign of someone being nervous and lieing....
We need more of this content on the channel. I’d rather see real stuff than the fabricated stories. I know posting daily you have to have some fun with it and create your own story lines and whatnot, but this was SO enjoyable
This was a great dde video! Love the educational side, but I still appreciate the crazy stuff and rallies. Really enjoy the new style of video content, just don't make it overly production based. Keep it natural.
I’m stoked!! I’d love to see the AMG as a street drift set up for the block and some track time. Super cool car. I think it’s exotic and great content for the channel

Steve is amazing with AMG engines... I took my old Mercedes to him years ago & he did a phenomenal job.. Definitely the guy to go to when it comes to AMG engines
Man you are hitting a nerve! Absolutely love the AMG content. Own a big cam Frankenstein head Camaro 1LE now but previously owned a E55 AMG full bolt-on car. Nothing compares to a AMG!
I had a smile on my face for most of the video especially during the explanation of the block and start up of that over AMG.. This is a car that I'd definitely like to see when it's done..
