No ID is more intusive and expensive than the income tax forms that the federal and state government require (by threat of jail ) for you to provide every April 15th, just for having a job. Last time I check having a job is required to survive. Nobody ever died or was left homeless because of not voting.

Seems appropriate which is why the polling names can be validated by the names on the list of voters. The swearing in when you're elected to a government position is also a privilege and when the oath is not upheld, the privilege is eliminated.

Yes. In the election of 2020 there were two people who were charged by the FBI with voting who were not citizens. Both were mistaken that green card holders could vote. Although they never cast votes they attempted.

In Missouri, I have always voted with a paper ballot & always had to show ID of some sort. After you've voted once, you get an ID in the mail & every Election after, for the future ones of that nature. But, you don't have to use it. You can also use a utility bill with your name it, if need be. Or you just use your MO Driver's license. They ask you your name, they find your name on the list, show ID a sign little screen like when you sign for a package. If everything has matched, Then you're handed your ballot. I think that's how it should be nationwide.
