I remember when I fist discovered this song many, many years ago. It was labeled, "Metallica + Megadeth + King Diamond".

Me too, I downloaded it (sorry, Lars) in the times of Ares by artist "Megadeth & Metallica" and took me like 3 or 4 years to discover the name of Mercyful Fate. I still want it played live by Hetfield, Mustaine and Diamond.

Hahaha. I hella remember that too. I was super stoked thinking these 3 legends recorded a song together. At the time too, I wasn't very aware King sang in mid-range voice as well as is falsetto voice, So I always thought it was James singing, Dave playing guitar and King adding that eerie vibe to it. Haha good times, in illegal ex downloading sites ;)

Haha, I remember downloading a song that was labelled "Metallica & Megadeth - Sleeping Peace" which was actually Over the Wall by Testament. There was also a song called "Hunger" that was also labelled as "Metallica & Megadeth", but actually it was a song of the same name by a band called Eternal Decision, and their vocalist's voice sounded a bit like a mix between James Hetfield's and Dave Mustaine's voice. Good old days...

mercyful fate is not black metal, they just were one of the influences in the early days because of the lyrics themes etc. They're still just heavy metal

'megadeth vs metallica - buried alive' did anyone else get into this song by downloading that mp3 and then hearing this? so weird to listen to it so much in high school thinking it was them collaborating again haahah, until my friend was like 'uhh dude its mercyful fate' i even remember looking up tabs and seeing some dude had tabbed it out with 'kirks part' and 'daves part' hahahah. he'd clearly been fooled too.

I saw King Diamond back in San Francisco, climbed up on their PA system and almost got kicked out of the club. Judas, what was I thinking ;-) King Diamond has one of the most intense high/low pitch voice In rock/Metal.

It was there last album "9" the year was 1999. If you haven't listened to King Diamond, since this album for his solo band "King Diamond" he has put out, Abigal 2, The Puppet Master, and Give me your soul please... Albums all good so check em out

Megadeth got King Diamond to tour with them on the Peace Sells....But Who's Buying? Album tour because at the time King Diamond also just released Fatal Portrait(so ti was a Peace Sells....Fatal Portrait tour). That is the Megadeth/Diamond connection.

He doesn't kill people.They die naturally or by murder, etc. etc. He can't control people or the horrible choices they make. He is there if you want Him, but you yourself must seek him out. He isn't going to find anybody and save them or give them a chance unless they seek him. In defense of those who die not Knowing God, No one is sure what happens to us when we die, heaven or hell. If some says the know where you're going its bullshit. Only God can decide, not a priest, pope, father, NO ONE.
