Hello guys and welcome to my channel.
Testing for the first time the Merkur Futur Double Edge Safety Razor.
I was a bit nervous 😨 but everything went super smooth.

Merkur Futur and feather blades. A lethal combination.

I have had the Futur as a daily shaver for the last 5 years. It is very aggressive and it will cut you if not careful, especially under the nose and nostrils. That being said, its very efficient when properly used. Blades like feather, personna rapira or Nacet are better on no more than 3 on the dial. Wilkinson, voskhod can be cranked up to 5. Your mileage may vary.

I constantly cut my chin with this razor and that's on setting 1.

Superb video and I loved the closeup shots mixed throughout the video. The Futur is an amazing razor. I only use it if I have 2 days (or more) growth and setting 2 is perfect for me. To adjust, I would recommend putting your index finger and middle finger below the base plate and your thumb on top of the head plate. You will never cut yourself if you do this. Great channel.

I considered a Futur for a while but my R41 has the aggressive needs covered, my Fatip Piccolo OC covers the mid-range and my Rockwell 6S has the milder end covered. So, no need for anything else although I might get the R41GS later.

Nice shave and review, I have same razor and can get a close shave on setting 1 with one pass, really enjoyed the review and subbed.

Me literaly like: I know nothing about safety razor shaving I saw that for cheap from qshave and it looks sick so might as well buy it. tbh its not as bad as you say or I just dont know what it should be

Hallo Alex, ich kann an diesem Rasierhobel nichts gefährliches finden , ich benutze den R41 bevorzugt , der Merkur Future empfinde ich am eher zahm. Trotzdem vielen Dank für dein Video. Gruß Jens 😊💈💈🪒
