I’ve had this Crimper for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it they are super deep waves and they hold really well however it is a pain the way you have to hold your hair and clamp down but definitely worth it

The hot tools deep waver does the same! It cramps my thumb as well I used to think it was just me but maybe that’s how it is with all wavers? 😩 super pretty though! 😍

Thanks for this video it really helped to buyer the waver I was looking for. Initially I bought the mermade waver but I didn’t research enough and when I received it I returned it right away. This video helped me to make the right decision. I like the depth of the wave because it’s more modern and not an 80s crimp.Also the size is perfect compared to other wavers.

I used mine for the first time yesterday and I love the results! So glad I bought it. While using it my right hand would cramp up and my thumb would hurt while using it.

My hair is to my shoulders and I feel the wave artist still gives my hair really cute curls. Anything longer than past the shoulders should look fine really.

JENNI ORO i just got mine as well! I’ve been playing around it with it and feel like you need to have long hair for it to look good. Mine if like mid back but my issue is that it frizzes after an hour or so.

After a few tries doing it myself, I have noticed the lock button was a life saver from avoiding my hands cramping up. Typically I have someone else doing it for me sometimes.

I have this, and I love it. I do have long thick hair naturally but I personally think beach waves look beautiful on medium length hair too. The shorter your hair the more volume you will get with curls. It's actually hard for long hair to hold the curls for very long bcoz the weight keeps pulling them out..no matter what products you use. At least in my experience.

I have long hair like you I have the same exact clamp as you I brought it when they first came out and I thought it was just me with the thumb and wrist pain because of my long hair but nice to know I’m not the only one and I’m going to try the lock I never thought of that maybe that will be less pain on my thumb

I usually curl my extensions before I put them in. It's faster and your hand doesn't get as tired curling all that hair on your head.

It might be the tool you are using. What do you use? It sounds like you have an actual crimper not a waver. Coz I've had that problem before too, but the bed head waver doesn't do that.

The tool you use could be a big factor. BUT shaking your hair out and using texturing sprays will help a ton!

My hair is fine so I use some dry shampoo to give it some texture. Then I make sure to separate the waves after they have totally cooled.

make sure you dont start at the same height on each section of hair! like make sure the peaks and valleys are not stacked directly on top of one another to get more volume

I got mine, I love it! But my hair is super thin and it was really hard to get the waves. And it gave me way to much volume (not pretty looking volume) I tried two times already but still the same.
