Switzerland created the FOCS-1 atomic clock; a clock so precise, that if you were to look at it thirty million years from now, it wouldn't even be one second off. Sweden's answer to this was Meshuggah.
The more of him I watch and listen to, the more I’m convinced he’s one of the greatest vocalists out there. I’m also convinced that he may actually have the hardest job up on that stage. The vocal phrasing and the way he syncopates up there, all while producing some of the most kind bending screams I’ve ever heard… he’s pushing himself to the limit. Super impressive to watch. I’m a drummer. I almost never say that about the guys holding the microphones.
Usually I don't disagree to this, but now that I see your profile picture, I'll have to point out that there's, at the very least, a heavy contender ;)
Yo literally I was there somewhere in front and I remember telling myself wtf we’re gonna die here ! The rythme was so aggressive and heavy! Those are the best moments in a life no doubt.
i dont know if satan exist and I dont fallow any particular religion but these have to be the most satanic lyrics ive heard in my life. he is literally calling for the return of what some call the antichrist. dope drummer though, haake is up there with carey.
+rastabg23 No actually they mostly talk about how reality is an evil illusion created by satanic forces and how we need to get the fuck out of here with meditation and drugs and shit
+Thomas Hinds yeah... agreed. Sometimes it seems like some of these Europeans understand the English language better than we do. A lot of it is very well written. Lying and deceiving seems to be a somewhat common theme throughout their tunes.
Agree 100% its the best sound I've heard on a youtube upload. At least for the genre. I always refer to this specific upload as much as possible. Its fantastic.
@@mortenhansen3455 You mean musically speaking? If not, this song can be easily interpreted as a description of the Antichrist, someone in pursuit of a higher form of existence willing to deceive humanity and calling us to follow "the god of cyanide"
@@spike05 It's a shame that a lot of new gojira fans have never heard Terra Incogtina... still my favorite of their releases because its SO FUCKIGN HEAVY, but I love and respect the changes the band made throughout their discography
@@spike05 I know right, I honestly think it's underrated in the metal scene. Gojira is hugely famous but that album isn't talked about. I think its less accessible than their more recent works though. it's a very avant garde album.
Tomas Haake is used by our solar system as measurement unit. If you had early easter, it's because he played the hi-hat in 23,7/8, causing a variation in earth angle of rotation.
U just made me realize that's the only time I care about the lyrics of a metal song, I prefer instrumental metal unless the vocals and lyrics are as heavy as the instruments.
All are headbanging and then there's Jens 😂 I love how they headbang together and stop at the same time, like they had already planned and memorized the headbanging pattern.
synchronized headbangs are one of the best things on earth, especially when meshuggah does it. Slipknot are another prime example, back in their self titled days they used to do synchronized jumps and headbangs.
thats the look of absolute awe, he has the gaze of someone watching the world end before his eyes and admiring the pure savage beauty. Like watching a nuclear explosion or a black hole swallowing the earth. Meshuggah's raw energy is so much greater than anything he ever thought could exist that he is absolutely mesmerized
Fuckin meshuggah man... Its like this band knows exactly how to write all they're albums to my specific liking. They can do no wrong, only awesomeness.
This is one of the only bands I've seen where their live performances are just as good as, if not better than, the studio releases. I think the only other one I can think of is Gojira.
Ive seen TOOL live and they do a really incredible job. All their members are masters of their craft and they have some of the best lighting effects ive seen. but nothing tops this.
BananaSlayer64 I saw them in Nashville last month. fucking awesome. didn't like the opening band at all though. The mosh pit went throughout their whole performance. felt like I got hit my a truck for three days after
Whenever I listen to New Millennium Cyanide Christ I can't help (amongst unsynchronised headbanging) but to imagine humanoid desperate for immortality trying it hardest to turn immortal via technology. Always get that biomechanic vibe I get from H.R. Geiger's art. Truly a work of art
Texan American I do say that at every show I go to. Because they are mostly death metal shows, ppl there understand that Pantera is whiny preteen music for those that can't handle real metal aggression and speed.

3:37 should be "A cleansing worshiping pain". I know that it sounds like something different, but those are the lyrics from the website, and on the album. Otherwise, thanks again for having the lyrics with the video!
