at first I thought this could be any band playing, but the vocals really do sound like old Jens, and the backing vocal harmonies are exactly the same as the campfire version of FBM... Plus there's the lyrics, which sound like their sense of humour. I wish someone would confirm that this is them!
We legit trolled an amateur gig by announcing a "meshuggah cover" during our set ( we play stoner)... Heh we didn't mentioned wich song beforehand... Lol, only die hard meshuggah fans knew what we were up to
@Thermingt0n It's from Thordendals 30th birthday. The band put together a record of songs mocking him. The song War from the Rare trax first appeared here, with different lyrics. The CD used to float around on Napster under the title "Missing time".
Alice in chains plus sound garden Ikr beacause of the natural minor riff with the flatted 5th and also that very lazy-like vocals, are very alice in chains an soundgarden like....... ....... or I'm just speaking jibberrish
@barrymorrissey how come this isnt meshuggah? have you ever heard the solo album of fredrik? it talks about an allien abduction he took part long time ago, in the chorus he or jens sings about thordendal eing abducted by the aliens. can it me more obious?
@BlindedByTheLight17 This might not be Meshuggah, but a Thordendal side project. Pretty easily actually, since he has made some music on the side of Meshuggah.
i think this genuine on the Meshuggah demo forums someone posted this. Demos From Okänt album (2004-04-29 18:51:30) (unknown source): Jävla Loser Jävel The Thordendale Vackra Nina Jag Klarar Inte Av Sprit Nu Tjö Vi Stilla Natt
WTF is this? False advertising! I love this kinda tunes... very "Clutch"-esque with a good amount of fuzz-rock element. Curious of what this actually is so as i can find more!?
@christofthedead Nono, it's more likely that Mr Thordendale is the one singing here than Jens. Listen to some songs on Contradictions Collapse, where Fredrik does the vocal delivery and compare to this song. I think it's a pretty clear match.
