I love the line when Jesus says to Mary - Its not much of a redemption if you can lose it in one day- !! That has so stuck with me!!! Fantastic line in The Chosen!!!!

I totally identified with Mary of Magdala! I slid back into my old ways because it was so familiar to me that it felt like "home". I struggled so much with being a "good Christian." I felt like I didn't belong. But when I watched The Chosen and saw how Jesus loved Mary despite this I just BAWLED and begged Jesus for forgiveness. I realized that He came for people like ME! He came for the sick! I realized for the first time that Jesus was with ME the WHOLE time! I have since been back in Church and trying to take one step at a time. The enemy tries to convince me that I don't belong. But that no longer matters to me. Whether I "belong" or not... I DO belong to Jesus! Thank you for coming Lord ♥♥♥♥♥♥

what a wonderful passage. The Chosen has done so much for me and may faith, I know I am saved, I know Jesus is here with me. In almost every episode of the Chosen there is a part that affects me deeply. There are a few episodes that I have watched over and over and cry each time.

I just rewatched the first episode, and my granddaughter asked me “What is Jesus doing?” When He put His hand on top of Mary’s and said, “That’s not for you.” To be able to share with a four year old the healing power of Yeshua is beyond price. I am so thankful for The Chosen opening doors of discussion even for the youngest of us. While typing this she said, “Look, Jesus made her all better!” Yes, Rory! And He makes us all better too. 💙

Yes! So pleased that you shared the history and truth concerning demons. Bravo 👏 I believe The Chosen did an excellent and very powerful portrayal of Mary Magdalene and Jesus. Jesus is absolutely 100% God and 100% man. It’s so troubling that most pulpits are not sharing Jesus and His Finished Work (the gospel) but spend all their time giving motivational speeches, legalistic ways of living or beat the people for being human. Thank you! I watched the first episode of this movie but was so unimpressed I never followed up - it certainly did not seem like it was coming from the Bible I've read. Yet so many people mentioned how great this movie is. I stumbled onto your video - and so enjoyed your commentary and peaks into other episodes. Ok. When you fall in love with Jesus, you can't help but to cry watching these scenes. For me I felt like Jesus would have acted similarly with me if i was face to face with him, this is how I would picture it.

Yeah, the series takes a couple episodes to get going, but those first few episodes are so important and so magnificently done. They are just building the anticipation to see Jesus come and fix everything!

These other fellows are correct, and I agree with their comments. I would add a separate comment, though. You are right, it is nothing like your Bible you have read. Especially if you are like my family growing up, and King James was all you heard. (It's a fine translation, but it leaves a magical, extra-worldly impression when you read it, in all it's glorious verbiage.) However, I've been studying for decades, and this show captures the SPIRIT and HEART that the Hebrew and Greek texts contain, which English translation loses. It (the series) is phenomenal!!

Grafted Brothers Tom and Sam, Thank ya'll so very much for putting the entire story of Mary Magdalene from The Chosen!☦❤ I absolutely love how Jesus sets Mary Magdalene free, but she relapses and turns back to her old identity for a bit, and Simon and Matthew find her, and they bring her back to the group. 😀❤ The scene that really got me was Jesus, telling Mary to "look up" Mary responses "I can't" Jesus says "You Can, Look At Me" she looks at Him Jesus says "I Forgive You, It's Over" forgiving Mary Magdalene of her relapse, and Bringing Mary Magdalene Back To Him!☦❤ I can't wait to see what ya'll have for us next time. ☦❤ Until next time, I love ya'll so very much, Brothers in Christ!!!!☦❤😘

Yes, the way they started the first event in the series with the clash between the demonic, the kingdom of darkness, and the kingdom of God, in the battle for the soul of Mary of Magdelan. Jesus wins. People need to see that this is what it is ALL ABOUT. Amen, Lord!!

If this show brings more people to Christ, then AMEN. Read your bible, do a little research, look up Sanhedrin, Sadducees, Pharisees,, and think of the parallels in society still today. Personally, for me, I think the show is doing a wonderful service for searchers.

Hi guys. I am into learning about the Nephilin.. I am trying to get through Enoch. I find that fascinating! I do believe that that is exactly what happened Way way way way way back before we have any idea of anything. And there is so much we do not know from the early beginnings. So I totally think that that was true about the Nephilin and I believe that it all has to do with the war between good and evil. When satan said no to God. Then from that moment on the war began. So thank you for bringing that up! I have read some books on that. And no one likes to talk about it because they don’t know really the answer. But we have a brain and imagination and we have some biblical sources. So I find it amazing and fascinating thank you for talking about that!

I think that Mary's Shabbat dinner would have been better than Nicodemus's because hers wasn't a performance for the elite. I don't think that Jesus was using reverse psychology when He told people not to say anything. I think He genuinely didn't want them to say anything because the crowd hindered His ministry in many ways, but He also knew that they would tell everyone so He was prepared for it. I pray that one day I will hear Jesus tell me that He forgives me. 🙏🙏 Glad you're back! I can hardly wait for more! 🙏✝️❤

And it doesn’t say she didn’t either, so the storyline is plausible. You may have missed the point of including something like that in the storyline, backsliding in to sinful ways is something that happens to Christian even today, the point was to show that you can come back and be forgiven, you don’t have to think the Mary did in the scene, before Matthew and Simon went to talk to her, that since you have fallen back into sin that you are not worthy to ask God to forgive you. And also the sending Matthew and Simon to go find Mary speaks to Galatians 6:1, where we are told if we see our Brothers and sisters fall into sin we are to, in the spirit of gentleness, seek to restore them, and that is what played out in the scene.

What is great is that Miriam after meeting our Messiah , she knows to keep the commandments… and the commandments are not a multiple Choice ! Keeping the Sabbath is a commandment … Yeshua says it many times … “IF you keep the commandments” So being a Grafted Messianic Torah - Observant believer … the Torah is Yeshua too!! Not separate .. Yeshua is doing what his Father told him to do … he is our example in the flesh . .. He says it in the New covenant! She is being In Him by going to / having Shabbat… this is being G-D’s child .. the walk, the truth , the way , Yeshua! Keeping the commandments the way our perfect Yeshua did will set you free !! Trust Our Father … he wouldn’t say something that he didn’t mean ! Shalom!

Humor is not featured in the Word. I don’t know why we (have to) humor things around God’s Word. It’s a western thing, or an American accent “cool” thing? The biggest problem we have when doing movies or clips is that it ALWAYS appears we have to bring along our own ideas, thus adding to the truth, which is wrong. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. I assure you there will be no humor when the judgement of God rings out - there will be weeping and a nashing of teeth.

Jesus spoke of judgment and rebuked the righteous, when it came to the weary and the outcast of society he was extremely compassionate, we need to remember these differences because one message is for those who think they are righteous and the other is for the outcast and downtrodden.

They are portraying Mary Magdalene (a woman) as a roller of dice, which further excludes her (per Judaism) as being a reliable witness to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. No where in the Bible is this claim made about Mary Magdalene, that she was a roller of dice and a gambler.

@@annme7638 Mary Magdalene is the same yesterday, today, and forever. She is the incarnation of the holy spirits of Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles. That will never change. Mary Magdalene is represented by the brazen LAVER in the Outer Courtyard of the earthly tabernacle, which is a copy of that which exists in heaven. Joan of Arc, Mary's divine TWIN sister, is represented by the Altar of Burnt Offerings.
