I love my 5 axis little haas but dam I wish I didn't have to take 3 hours putting on and off the trunnion every time I need to do simple 3 axis plate work... I am saving for small 3 axis mill as my last lathe purchase just sits there 99% not making money as I never see lathe work
@@HuskyMachining do you look for work for the lathe? My lathes are running just as much as my mill. I am also looking into buying the 5 axis brother of the dmg cmx i got right now.
@@nikolaiownz that would be a sweet machine! how much do they run? I bought my lathe as I had never used a cnc one (or seen one if real life) and I thought it was about time to learn. It has really helped with some of the 5 axis work I see that needs part of it turned but I just see a lot more mill work here than lathe work. my lathe also has a max z of only 200mm as its VDI turret takes the rest of the z travel away
@@nikolaiownz lol, that's what makes this kinda of work so damn fun, there is so much to learn! it has been one of the most difficult skills to learn... it was way easier to get a engineering degree

thanks buddy! I really want to start making videos again and I plan to soon (my dog died last month suddenly and it has made it really hard to do anything other than work as much as I can)
@@HuskyMachining Totally understand your feelings about your Husky. Some of the reasons i don't have a Dog anymore. They have such short lives compared to us and when they finally go it's like loosing a member of your family. In my family growing up we had a fair few Dogs most of them strays that some how found there way to our home, LOL. Always have many memories of them still even after all these years. It's made a little tougher for you too ? Naming your channel after your Husky. One good way to look at it ? You will always have great memories of your Husky as Husky Machining. Possibly you should get a Husky Puppy. It won't replace what you lost. But it will give you some nice thoughts knowing your Husky is never gone.
@@weldmachine IT has been hard as he was family for 4 years for me and 8 year for my wife. We have 2 other huskies and we love them all... We will always remember him too
