It's funny because Raiden actually does eventually become the main character, not by killing Snake and Big Boss, but by simply waiting for them to die of old age.
Hmm. It’s almost as if a labor of artistic love will show through in the end product. I swear, MSG3 is like five games in one. And nowadays you can’t get one good game in five. 😑
Yeah because we all know rockstar wanted to push the online whereas the devs actually want to make a great single player game, thats why their is a completly different team working on the online mode lol
And so..Snake became the DARPA chief and died of a heart attack on shadow moses, while Sigint gets 3 clones (Solid Sigint, Liquid Sigint, and Solidus Sigint)
When you think really hard about it, Snake got off a bit better in this AU. Sure he joined the Patriots and eventually made the Patriots AI that rule the world in the future, but he got to work with Otacon on Metal Gear REX (Assuming in this AU the two become just as close as Canon!Snake and Canon!Otacon despite their age differences) while SigInt eventually got betrayed by Eva (who leave with the (fake) Legacy) and got disillusioned when learning about the truth of Operation Snake Eater, resulting in him forming MSF as a home for soldiers like him, which pave way to Diamond Dogs (And a body double running the place, Venom SigInt), and eventually, Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land, where his son/clone Solid SigInt inevitably killed him.
I died when Boss pulled the nuke in front of Snakes face when she lost the rock, paper, scissor fight and Snake hid behind the tree like thats gonna save him lmao.
@@Lumbago-box Skull Face hates Zero because while Snake was undergoing Operation Snake Eater, Skull Face was ordered to follow behind Snake and play clean up by disposing of evidence and covering his tracks and whatnot, and while Snake was rewarded by being proclaimed better than the Boss and renowned as a legendary hero and soldier, Skull Face was ignored entirely.
Scott Price Exactly the respect I give to the original prime team of kojima productions, dare I say, as well as the prime days of Konami These scenes prove just how much fun they had making the story and game
@@BrooklynBallaSadly it won't even scratch the surface of what they did with MGS3. There is no attentio to detail and love anymore. cashgrab cashgrab cashgrab... just look at their masters collection, just a straight up copy paste from the xbox port no improvements whatsoever its a disgrace
Connor Butters Well, when you base a series off of the affairs of the Americans, with the main protagonist being an American, you’d need a good grasp on the culture. Of course, being Japanese this game (especially this title in particular), the people of The Rising Sun will hold their nation in somewhat high contempt compared to others.
@@rayzas4885 all he said is that the french and Italians are more open to experimental games and movies and he is right. So many click bait sites respond with nonsense like "kojima says americans are too stupid for death stranding" which isn't anywhere close to what he said.
The fact that they used a cutscene from mgs2 and then got a totally different voice actor just for these joke cutscenes and raikov is amazing. They even got the Boss's Voice actor to voice rose I think. I hate that no one liked Raiden, he was a good character.
The feelings aren't the same anymore. Raiden is loved as much as Snake even not being the main character. Kojima did a good job putting Raiden in 2 and even making him and snake be used as gags. So when 4 popped up folks were more open to him. In Revengence Raiden Praises Snake when he talks about him. Fans are much more open to him now than they were before.
@@mozart4344 he made it sound like that was the end of it no redemption or nothing I do remember hating raiden then asking myself wow raiden is awesome in mgs4 wish we could somehow incorporate him into the game so we can use him and now metal gear rising is probably my favorite of the saga
33:00 “no replacement for Hideo” really hits hard after they tried making a SINGULAR mgs game without him and it flopped so badly they effectively destroyed the series from ever having another sequel.

@@trogo3402 I saw the other comment, and no I didn't steal it, I didn't even see the other comment when I was here back then. Not everyone's a scum y'know.
Snake's face and reaction to the C3 timer counting backwards is still one of my favorites. That and him getting tossed around in the treads of the Shagohod only to pop out without his uniform on. I wish gag reels like these made a comeback.
yeah, cause the primary system in MGS3,surviving and wound treating system came from the director of metal gear survive. if you like MGS3,you like MG survive cause they're created by same person. Hideo is story writer and he went along with the surviving system.
Vertutame well, mgs3's survival system was much more polished than the one in mgsurvive. you made fires and cooked your meals then and there, saving time and keeping you relatively on the objective at hand. in survive, just to get you from point A to B, you would have to go out, farm heaps of food/water, go back to base, cook it all, and then go back out to your objective. it was just very tedious. the game wasn't all that bad though tbh
To me, Metal Gear Solid 3 was always on the bright side of things anyway. It had more characters you could sympathize with, and even the villains were sometimes straight up hilarious. But the Hidden Theater from the original Subsistance release really takes the cake. I remember showing this to all my friends who only played the regular version before and since that, everyone else around me saw Metal Gear Solid 3 as the comedy Metal Gear. It's great fun!
Not only does he still lose the eye, he is also still the one who kills The Boss, the thing he hated the most about Operation Snake Eater. He only takes the worst parts XD

Metal Gear Solid 3 and Peacewalker was a wild time at Konami. Kojima and staffs were like" what else can we add to these games" Snake vs monkeys, secret theater, fighting dinosaurs, love boxes, date your subcommander... I love it so much!!
@@Jose-se9pu I posted this around the time Konami announced was fucking over Kojima. KojiPro was just dissolved into Konami and all his people and him made into contractors. It was a terrible situation... Felt bad for Kojima; He seems to be happier now with Death Stranding out now. I've yet to try it, personally. Waiting for the PC port to go in blindly.
So nobody is gonna mention the scene at 9:50 where he accidentally blows himself up with the c3! His face is so priceless! I swear I almost pissed myself because I was laughing so hard!!!! I love metal gear solid ❤️️ been playing since I was a little kid on my PlayStation 1.
Honestly i found 16:10 is the most hilarious scene. Everything explodes and a random soldier actually helps snake. ''Don't give up!'' while Sigint steals the spotlight. Absolutely hilarious.
