30 bullet wounds, 5 arrows, 25 burns, 17 lacerations, 7 fractures, every run i've done on this game you wouldnt even be able to see any intact skin if all the wounds stayed
@@riffraffgolfersI'm excited for this game but I agree I'd love to see a remade mgs1. It would be cool too if they went back to the original msx metal gear games and remade them but that would be essentially making a new game from the ground up so probably won't happen.
it feels very strangely accurate to the original, like it looks much better but it just feels like a massive improvement without any change, especially how green it always looked in the forests

If word gets out, we might get stormed with all the Ocelot & naked Snake cosplays. The ladies are gonna love them and cosplayers usually do what the ladies love
@@brileystewart no it doesn't it runs at 30fps and is locked to ps3 hardware. not on ps store, not on any collections. MGS4 is basically lost to time, it needs to be brought up to date or at least be tinkered with to make playable on ps4 and ps5 hardware

@@Singerisacrookit's not locked to PS hardware.. you can run it on RPCS3 in 60fps with upscaled 4k visuals if you have a decent PC. I completed it recently and it was a great experience.
Judging by the quality and faithfulness of this remake so far kinda makes me wish they were these devs were the ones developing the Silent Hill 2 remake.

@@l.arandom1631 to be fair, part of what made the original silent hill games so eerie was the fact that they were made for the ps1/early ps2 era. something about that added to it and made the whole thing feel so uncanny. it's hard to recreate that, even if they try hard

the memories man... thanks Luigi for gift me the MGS essential collection for the PS2 back in 2008. that was how, as a 9 years old kid I started in this franchise and it become my favorite till these days!

Except for the parts where they're remaking the game in a new engine, I doubt it. Konami says that they're reusing all the old recorded lines for the sake of... I forget what they said, but I wager it's actually to save costs. Same with the level geometry being nearly identical. All I'm saying is, don't expect something like the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
@@Mortal2064in one of the videos you even see an enemy falling down with the same death and damage animations used in the original. I'm pretty sure they're just going all in on nostalgia and changing as little as they have to. Which tbh, I think is a bad thing
@frankgrimes7388 no lol They should at least upgrade how the enemies react like in mgs V. Graphical upgrades are fine but they need to do more than that. Remakes like RE2 are a prime example and yes I know it's a different game but they did more than upgrade the graphics
Do what? Improved graphics? Should most modern games have the capability now? I feel you could easily raise the graphics of any game that has a PC port. Along with mod any feature you want or dont. Correct me if im wrong
Im hoping for European Extreme. If they leave that im happy. Also wouldnt mind harder difficulty plus VR missions. I feel each level should be allowed a VR mission prior just to train for an uppcoming situation. That would be fun and actually match the setting of a soldier training to go into battle with new tech
it looks like they are trying to recreate the whole game and even the cutscenes. Safe approach to be somewhat successful since mgs 3 is a masterpiece on it's own
@@money4385 Their only MGS game without Kojima was an absolute dumpster fire, money grab, disgrace. Then they pulled the older MGS games from GOG despite them working just fine. They then replaced them with a more expensive, shittier port. Konami has been screwing over Kojima and MGS for years
I remember when ground zeroes came out and the phantom pain. I dreamed of this moment since and as the pachinko machines came i felt my dream slip away. Ive never been so excited and am so happy i am around to see this come out
I loved MGS4, Old Snake. Probably cause it was the first MGS game I was old enough to beat and somewhat understand wtf was going on with the story. I remember being so confused when I kept seeing there Ocelottts lol like wasn't he old and trying to kill me? Now he's my buddy haha
This is looking promising so far, hope it can deliver such success as the recent resident evil remakes which were fantastic, but no release date announced yet so i dont think we will see it this year, im hoping maybe an early march 2025 release or so ? would be great !!
I hope they add a bunch of unlockable challenge missions in the game areas with different objectives and equipment. I think that's key in MGS games to getting the most out of the area and system design. I used to keep saves from right before all the cool sandbox areas throughout MGS3 so I could just replay them whenever I wanted screwing around with enemies and setting up crazy situations. Like in the spirit of the ape escape mode from Subsistence and all the alternate scenario missions from GZ. Make it crazy. It would also allow you to keep the main story very faithful, and then add all the updated extra wild stuff to new, separate content that uses the existing game assets in different creative ways.
Metal Gear Solid is full of potential from First Person Shooter to Third Person Shooter, they could become great hit like the Hell divers 2 and some extreme graphics intensity like COD warzone. That's more like a jam packed package for online shooter and tactical espionage battle field..
I want a Metal Gear 1 + 2 remake in modern graphics. It's such a huge part of Solid Snake's & Big Boss' journey that it would be foolish not to remake it for modern times.
I really hope there is a quick swap for the outfit changes. If I remember correctly it began to become a pain in the ass going into the menu to change to a different one everytime I put his back up to a different styled surface to blend in. Crawl through grass?....menu...switch to green....crawl through mud...menu...switch to brown.....go for that brick wall over there....menu...switch to red.....over and over. MGS4 solved this with its cool automatic stealth change thing like an octopus. I wonder how they will tackle it here. Looks cool though
Why would you do that though? You're creating that problem for yourself. Choose the camo that fits best in most of the area and use your stealth skills not to be seen. It's possible, I've beat the game without being spotted and killing no one. Do you think Snake would be constantly pulling camos out of his ass, strippin booty butt naked 10 feet from an enemy while laying in some grass, just because he's about to crawl through mud and it slightly improves his chances of not being seen?? Kills the immersion.
@@YoSkatan I guess im one of those people who optimise the fun out of games 😅 i did the same thing with vagrant story and had the same critique there. In vagrant story you are encouraged to use different weapons for different enemy types so i had one for every enemy type and it led to constant menu usage. Slowed the pace of the game to a crawl. A quickswap would have been a godsend for me
I am SO GLAD they provide an alternate new gameplay style, along with the many new things too. I would not spend money on the same game I already played but prettier. MGS:D seems to balance old and new to perfection, in order to provide a new experience even for those who played the original MGS3 too!
i'm so glad they actually added a color correction that simulated the original's color palette. The new colo palette look amazing too but for people who fw that green filter more this is great.
For me to play SNAKE EATER was like a meditation. The scene of the lake and rain will always stay in my mind and heart! Thank you Master KOJIMA! This remake will me AMAZING! Make MGS1 toooooooo!!!!
MGS 3 Snake Eater is the best in the series by a long shot, and this is coming from someone who started on MGSV also. I liked MGSV, but MGS 3 made me love the MG series as a whole
OG fanboys complain about anything. This game looks amazing. And they listened to the fan base and remade the best game of the series. I really want this game to do well in sales. I respect the fact they brought it back to us.

I hope Konami gets it right, i really hope, and remember, if this sell good, we could have Master Collection Vol. 2 with games that are trapped on the seven gen like Peace Walker and MGS4, or even, if we dream big enough, a remake of all of the Metal Gear Games (except V because that one is really recent and still looks good by modern standards)
