Metal Singer Reacts - Unlucky Morpheus - Angreifer Reaction 

For me, Unluky Morpheus belong on the main stage in Wacken, at some point there will be a Japanese night, imagine Band Maid, Nemophila, Lovevites, Unlucky Morpheus ......... everyone would freak out 😲🤘

Suddenly I feel motivated to go to work. So cheers 🍻 for that. Unlucky Morpheus are phenomenal, no denying.

The song is about some one that have died and has re-awoken as a vampire. Fuki is singing about trying to them trying to hold on to their humanity and Shiren is sining from the hunger side of things trying to get them to feed for the 1st time and be fully re-born.

Excellent choice....their older stuff is pure gold.

This is one of the live performances in which violinist Jill plays Shiren's guitar parts, who only does the harsh vocals when that happens. These violin solos are pretty ... neat ;) Also, don't know if you know but "Angreifer" means "Attacker" in German. One of two German titles, the other being "Opfer", which means "sacrifice" or "victim". My Japanese isn't really good, but at the end Shiren only asks the crowd if they're having fun (when he screams), then lists some dates (probably tour stop dates) and that this show is their tour final. And Fuki only says that they're changing the arrangements on stage now because the next songs will be acoustic.

Brilliant!! I think you said it best..."Dark , Gothic and catchy as hell" Every aspect of this song is top notch, vocally and musically.. I think one of the main draws to Japanese music for me is the heavy music combined with super catchy poppy chorus. They make the transitions work so well. I am gonna plug Wagakki band Homura again. Loved this Unlucky Morpheus song and reaction. Can't wait till Friday to see what's next.

This is another incredible Japanese band that I would love to see live if and when they ever tour this end of the planet. What an amazing pair of singers and that violin player!!

Thanks for this reaction. I'm great fan of "Unlucky Morpheus" since I first listen to some of their music (admittedly some 18 months before!)... I'm glad that you like them! They are my favorite band! Growls were made by Shiren (lead guitarist and back up vocalist since his illness), and Fumiya (drummer) is beast, for sure! Gill (violinist) give them flavour, but she is virtuoso on that violin, and you could check her in some other songs (let's say "Blood Tower" live, or with their instrumental covers of X-Racer, Dream Theater and Yngwie Malmsteen). Other members of band are also insanely talented musicians, but singer Fuki is simply...Fuki! :-) Always beautiful, always on the spot with her nice voice! You could check some other songs of "UM", and my favorites are "Dignity of Spirit" live (yes, their live songs are even better then MV's!), "Cadaver\Revadac" (where they play songs normally in the first half, and reverse in the second half!)... In fact, you can't find any bad songs by them, and this is typical for those Japanese bands! :-) There are side project by Fuki and girls from "Gacharic Spin", and they call themselves "Doll$Boxx"! I highly recommend that band, too. You could hear Hanna (the drummer) growling while she, still play drums very well! My favorite from them are "Shout Down", "Take my Chance" (if you react to MV version and not live one, you could be confused on the start - live version is very good, too), "Karakuri Town" (both MV and live versions) and "Loud Twin Stars" (also both MV and live versions)! You don't be disapointed by them, too! :-)

I'm not sure I have ever seen and heard a better package. Even with the guitar guy down in this, it is still right up there with perfection.

Fuki has so clean voice, and the song is beautiful but this song lyrics are so dark just like Slipknot What they are talking after the song, they are saying that they are in their concert tour, and are going to play their songs acoustically.

It's funny while the video was playing on my closed captions could say was foreign in parentheses 😲😃 I can't translate it but I did hear them say ankimo in the end, which is what their name is derived from the fish liver paste named ankimo

Thanks for doing this, it's my favorite UM clip on youtube. It captures so much of what makes this group incredible. All of the parts shine through, Fuki and Jill kill it...Fumiya (drums) is out of his mind...and you were right with it.

You should check out TK on the first take channel! TK - Unravel is a very popular song from an anime. Beautiful vocals with piano, cello, violins TK - Copy Light is a real emotional song with incredible guitar play from him as well. Both songs on the first take are really great listens!
