JK is on a whole other level, honestly! He is truly making his big pop star vibe known to the world and I'm here for it! He's a grown dude, lest we all forget since we watched him grow up. But also, love the consent side of this- its a nice touch (pun very much intended) 💜
Nahhhh we’ve all known he is a grown dude since he turned 21, since the times of fake love, the ab reveal, jikook rumours, etc I mean the backlash is not about sex as a topic but the off putting verses Jack included, changed the tone from fun, sexy, cool to a more darker shade… we aren’t discovering he is an adult today or on the release of Seven. We all knew what that song was about even before the explicit version.
@AndieFlowers3 yeah, you're allowed to have your preferences of course! There are definitely folks out there who don't like the song for the content as well, and like you said, not enjoying Jack's contribution. Totally fine either way, as long as we're still streaming for our man! I am one of the ones who loves the song as is, and the other versions/remixes too. At the end of the day, we're here for JK!
I feel that JK is stretching the boundaries because he has gotten tired of being called the 'Baby' so much. He is 26 years old and he wants to be treated as a man. 💜💜💜
Another wonderful reaction, John. And loved how you expressed your opinion honestly without putting anyone down. I agree with you on Harlow’s lyrics but loved every bit of JK. And I 100% support JK in his journey.
I've said in earlier comments that I didn't care for the Jack Harlow part...to me, it didn't fit the song. Now I have watched every little thing that has come out on JK, as he has always been my bias. To me, he can't do wrong, and I will and have always supported him in everything.
The alternative version is better for me as far as the music goes, of course, I love watching JK's dancing and visual...I'm just not crazy about Jack Harlow...to me, it would have been better without him!
I agree I like the vibe and rhythm of this song. It's catchy. I liked JK asking permission as it sends a positive message to men. The more I listen to Jack Harlow's part I think it eludes to his past behavior but that his present behavior is improving with maturity albeit still described in a more graphic way. I may be wrong but I choose to understand it that way. I love JK's voice and happiness when he sings. He's an exceptional talent. I'm 64 years old but not offended by the lyrics. I just love dancing to this song. Wow!!!! Well done JK.
JK being a grown man doesn't always play in to someone's opinion of being less than thrilled with the song. When someone expresses any kind of criticism or questions choices that are made, you can't always say "JK is a grown man". Duh. He's been a grown man for awhile, y'all. He didn't suddenly become an adult when he turned 26. He's been a grown man!! So, the comebacks of "Jungkook is a grown man" are getting tired for me. FOR ME. My opinion. I love the song but not crazy about JH's rap and that's OK. So many people LOVE it. It won't stop me from listening to the song. Oh, and side note...I LOVE that he (and Jimin) are bringing women into the mix. FINALLY! May set the delusionals off on a tangent but for me, I'm happy about it.
Omg, I so agree!! It’s seems when anyone has an opinion , the “grown man” excuse gets used, is that all they’ve got?? But what I don’t like is why, just because he’s a man, should it be ok to be crude or overtly sexual? That is not what I like in a man, but that’s my opinion . I love JK and BTS, but that doesn’t mean I have to like all their decisions. I will personally listen to the alternate version, JK gets to shine even more .
I can agree with "clean" versions, but realistically speaking SEVEN version is not what brought it to #1. JH raps flows, he didn't offend women only himself and left it to. LGBT ending= modern. It's not like MJ grabbing his thing etc. Jungkook is blowing the charts, this is not just for "Army" this is #1 Spotify Global. Love it. There's 3 versions even instrumental for those who are church goers 😂
I’ll help you with your deep dive. I’ve been deciphering Jack Harlow‘s lyrics for years now. I get it, there is a language berried and he uses explicit lyrics. But he writes like a poet, his lyrics are not literal. Think of it like you’re reading Shakespeare for the first time. If you’ve ever heard his song gang gang gang, you would understand. I’ll try and Harlow-splain for you. He’s talking to a girl long distance and is wanting to meet in person. That’s what they both are referring to!! I’m on my Jung Kook (Jung Kook is amazing, like a drug) Take a chick off one look And when they get took They don’t ever get untook ( I can charm you with just a look and once you like me you always will) When I seen that body you would think it was a Dead body The way I told my boys come look (I showed my friends your picture and they think you are so beautiful it’s scary ) I used to take girls up to Stony Brook. And steal they hearts like some crook True story ( I use to steal a lot of hearts when I was younger) Now when I hold somebody’s hand it’s a new story ( Now I’m trying to be more serious) All my ABGs get cute for me I had one girl, too boring Two girls, that was cool for me Three girls, damn dude’s horny Four girls, okay now you’re whoring ( I use to be a womanizer ) (Hey hey hey) hey I’m loose I done put these shrooms to good use ( But now I’m free of that life ) I done put my city on my back And the world know my name I’m the truth ( Now I want to represent my city and be well known) I got you playing with yourself on camera ( you keep sending me seductive pictures ) You my bae, just like Tampa ( But I really like you, I like you as much as football , referring to the Tampa bay buccaneers ) Speaking of bucks I got those, and as for fucks well not those ( I have the money and I don’t care what anyone else thinks) And as for thoughts well do you really wanna know? I thought so I’ll fly you from Korea to Kentucky (So let me fly you here so we can meet in person) And you ain’t gotta guarantee me nothing I just wanna see if I get lucky ( I have no expectations but let’s meet to see if it works out) I just wanna meet you in the physical and see if you would touch me ( Let’s meet in real life so you can see if you would be interested in me)
That is the exact way I interpreted JH’s lyrics. Jungkook is growing up, he is not that innocent kid anymore so he is expressing that through his music. A lot it ARMY’S still want him to be that young innocent boy and he is yelling to the world I am a grown man and I am no longer that innocent kid. Love me or not this is who I am. Since I am a way older ARMY I am enjoying him breaking out of his cocoon and spreading his wings like a butterfly!!
People should stop saying he is a grown up.its only 2 years between him and jimin/V and they dont have the need to..... strange that its only jk that was young when they started he was 14 and V&Jimin only 16
I really don't like Jacks part. It was kind of too dirty and I saw a kind of disrespect to women. I prefer the alternative version. It's musically interesting, catchy and JK's adlibs are perfect.
@@jazzyjamster25 I think we know Jack was talking about himself. It was the way he was talking about women that was disrespectful. Objectification, and specifically Asian women. ABG's? JK's verses were sexual but not disrespectful.
As an ARMY, I don't know why it's not okay to say there's something you don't like. I am a super fan of JK, but I didn't like the Lotto feature or the explicit lyrics, nor did I like this Harlow feature....everything else, I loved. Frankly, I'm a bit ticked off that he continues to wear Balenciaga too. Maybe he's clueless about it. People also criticize when I say he sounds a lot like MJ to me....I'd think he'd take it as a compliment, not a comparison....I think it's his falsetto and the almost quiet whisper....brings back great memories.
I’m korean I will say 99 percent of us do not know the balenciaga, Alexander wang (Alexander drugging men), moschino (racist past), Gucci (fat phobic in one campaign and black face in 2019) dolce gabbana making fun of a chinese model mocking and chopsticks in one of their campaign in 2018, louis vuitton racist in 2014, saint laurent (also fat phobia showing thin is better) (because it is not really in the news here) I only know this because I am in the states but people back home do not really know about this
It has nothing to do with his maturity...just because he's a man now shouldn't mean he needs to curse and use sexual themes...JK is and will always be the best singer and dancer without all that.
I believe this has nothing to do with how "Mature" the song is, and everything to do with how Jack Harlow's verse is being seen as disrespectful to women. Specifically Asian women. We don't have to accept that. It's why I don't listen to American hip hop, and when I found BTS's music, I was introduced to hip hop in a way that was not objectifying to women. They got me to love Hip Hop again. JK's verses were not disrespectful, and he killed his part in the song. He has the right to sing about mature topics, and I respect the fact that he isn't being disrespectful, but is still able to come across with what he wants to say. I will opt to listen to the alternative version.
@@tracydowd4013 alright going to say this stop spamming under these comments..u said the same thing to me above. be respectful to people opinions..everyone has a different opinion of this song.some will love it and some wont...but be respectful to each other
I also dont get why people said just because JK wants to show that he is already grown up then he can be wild in words, as well in Seven. Isnt it, getting mature means getting wiser in words? 😊
@@friede. i agree with u on this..also music is music and people have different taste of music..we just gotta respect each other opinions too u know. jungkook is showing us what types of music he likes and my opinion i like both songs so far. i am happy for him. honestly i cant wait to see his album too.
Years ago, when I met BTS for the first time, Jungkook was the one that drew my attention with his enchanting voice, unique personality, aura, ectraordinary dancing ability and charm. He always reminded me of Michael Jackson, I mean- not imitating him but in terms of having the superstar aura.. I was a huge fan of Michael and never became fan of any artist after his death.. but this boy is So much gifted- not only his voice, but his drawing ability, dancing skills, Beautiful heart, creative mind and so on.. that it is impossible to become a fan of him. He is a real treasure ✨both seven and 3d were fire , cant wait to see him conquer the music industry with his album💥💥💜
JK crushed it and l love him showing his more “adult” side. John, I agree that I didn’t care for the message of Jack Harlows part. I can say this here cuz I “know” you and this channel: Jacks part came across as “typical American male”.I felt it didnt hold up to the ideals that BTS has espoused of respect and inclusion. JKs ad libs are fantastic harkening back to the best of JT and MJ. I couldn’t get the song out of my head!
JK is becoming if not already one of the biggest pop stars in the world and i do like the more mature JK. As for Jack Harlow i like his flow and i like some parts of of his verses but im going to be completely honest however there are some parts that were not necessary in my opinion. I was not offended by anything i just didnt think some lyrics were necessary to get ones point across, but i guess jack was just doing what jack does. Other then that i like the song and i like sound of it it a little better the seven if thats possible. Its a very catch tune and im very proud of our JK for just doing what he wants to do and ill support him no mater what.
JK is no longer that shy boy of 15. This year he got out of his comfort zone starting with Calvin Klein to 3D. I am really loving this side of him. I love this song, but I like the alternative better w/out JH. It will be interesting to see where BTS takes us in 2025.
Same I loved Jungkook part but I feel like the song should not have the other guy in it i hate his rap but I really love Jungkook's part so I well support coz Jungkook deserves all the love!!😓💜
I was thinking the duality of it was meaning how Jk is always put on a pure pedestal right but I think he’s trying to say that he’s also a grown man who has urges….he’s human!! So I think he’s say we all have those sides to us even me… and that’s ok too!!
Love this song is so catchy and dynamic he's absolutely amazing. He's moves, and visuals are mesmerising. I hope you get to react to the live performance video it's so good. His definitely spoiling us. So happy to see him growing as an artist and accomplishing his goals. So proud and happy for him. Congrats on another hit JK. As usual he slaaaaayed it!!
Love your take! But um the whole song is sexual.. I mean JK is not talking about anything innocent. people just choose to think he is… I saw where this song was going before jack even jumped on it.. so trying to say didn’t like jack part cause of messaging is saying you don’t like the song.. witch is fine.. but let’s not pretend here.. Gezz lol
like i told u the other day..everyone has a different opinion of the song but everyone needs to remember to be to respectful to each other and to respect ANY ARTISTS that collabs with our boys. Honestly i love the song the more i listen to it i love it more....its very catchy and jungkook has warn us before this released its more "mature" content then seven. I agree what you said at the end "i think we all have the right to enjoy and not enjoy things that we do and do not like". Love the reaction! 💜💜
BTW GUYS i am going to say this...POSITIVE ATTITUDES HERE PLEASE. John and this commuinty is all about positive messages.Remember everyone has their own opinions and respect the opinions..do not go after a person just because they commented. thats all i am going to say.
@@AA4PJMsame. It is the only song in almost 6 years that I have not and will not stream. I love JK’s parts, but cannot support this. And that is ok! I still love jk.
@@AA4PJM i never said positive opinions... i said positive attitudes or messages and respect each other and respect each others opinions.. please re-read what i said above as well.. i have been seeing all the hate and etc lately and all i said was being positive and respect each others opinions..also when i say positive messages i mean do not be very mean and disrespectful to each other(which i have been seeing in other reactors channels and twitter). john commuinty that he built around here is positve vibes and i am just reminding people that.
@@AA4PJMI am very sorry that parts of the music video and the rap lyrics were triggers and brought back horrrible memories for you. This was what worried me when I watched the video and read the lyrics- how the images and words can be hurtful. I am sending you a big hug and hope that you are feeling better.
Love this song, although Harlow's part is off putting. Jungkook's part is more respectful because it's all about consent. There are some complaints that the song is misogynistic, but people should make note that Harlow is not saying the girls are horny or whorish. His lines "...dude's horny" and "... okay now you whoring", are referring to his behavior. Jungkook's proposal(s) is always followed by "... if you let me..." etc. He's definitely implying he's into something. But he'll only indulge (with the woman), with her consent. Which is how it should be. Harlow's lines are not my cup of tea and maybe a bit lame, IMO. Macho bragging, but that's just me. Everything else I loved! But, we know haters will always find something to blow out of proportion and scream about. It's the nature of the beast.
Oh God Oh God is right. But I love the flow and tune and dance choreography of it. I think it's just giving haters and the netizens something to chew on. 😅😅just like to assume stuff about JK .❤ who he is with, what he's up to. I mean they are all grown men. JK is chilling y'all
I don't like Jack's message either. There is an alternative version. A lot of ARMY's are not having Jack's message. It's being portrayed as objectifying and misogynistic. I tend to agree. I love the song overall, and JK's part. He addresses a sexual topic in a respectful and appropriate way, and Jack did not.
Thank you John for being honest and for taking issues with the part that was disrespectful instantly, not laughing over it or ignoring it. And yes, it was off-putting for me too :// There do seem to be a duality, for example, by them playing chess. I also wonder what they wanted to convey, since they have agreed to each other lyrics - the good (asking for consent) and the bad (bored by one girl / ABGs etc). Hmmm. Personally, I have not enjoyed the last two songs/MVs by JK but that’s 2 out of so many good ones. I like that you said to be kind to each other. It’s been tough in the comment section lately.
Jacks verse is him calling his old self a dog… and how the girl he’s talking to now is different and he’s on his jungkook…. And willing to wait for the girl he’s in a long distance thing with now… the abg thing is dumb but I men o have a type so who am I to judge someone else’s type lol but I think most ppl misunderstand jacks verse bc they see the words “horny” and “whoring” and assume he’s calling the girls that or saying that’s all they’re good for or something but when you look at the lyrics… he’s talking about himself… his old self… and why he said but now it’s different and it’s a “new story”
i read that 3D stands for Dangerous, dirty & demanding (or demeaning) so .... leave to your imagination is what JK's saying XDDD Jack Harlow's part, i agree with you that it's a bit too much. I prefer JK's part
Are you saying that the song is making a play on your 3D definition? My opinion the last thing we need is more dangerous demanding men - dirty is a matter of opinion for each of us. I like dirty but not dangerous or demanding.
I love everything about jungkook the lyrics the music its give you early 2000 vibes with MJ dance moves What i don't like Jack Harlow rap part its not necessarily at all and as you say it gives another meaning to the song Jungkook smoth respectful man in love he knows how to treat a woman Jack a player one woman is not enough for him unrespectful at all Thats my opinion 🤷♀️
Yes I love JK’s voice and part. Jack I didn’t like his lyrics always about sex and having more partners. I like the other version with JK only. Great Reaction! ❤👏👏👏😊👍
@@tracydowd4013yes me too. I love BTS because it’s a higher level of music than a lot of American music. My opinion. JK didn’t need this collab he is a superstar all on his own. Love the song!
@@subobing3551Yes, I'm agree. I just don't understand why does JK need collab when he alone is such a good singer and a big star. I mean, in this song it's better he sings without collab. And the ending doesn't feel right.
I’ve been deciphering Harlow’s lyrics for years now Jacks lyrics are literally the opposite of having lots of partners. In video he is holding one girls hand and all the others are being left behind. I get it, there is a language berried and he uses explicit lyrics. But he writes like a poet, his lyrics are not literal. Think of it like you’re reading Shakespeare for the first time. I actually like this song and I also love the lyrics as it sounds like it's a follow on song from Seven also I love the mv ad JK is wrecking me badly as he is just so hot
I think JK wants to show that he is more than the baby of BTS and the cute bunny we saw growing up. He is a grown man now and it’s normal to touch on more mature stuff. Tbh comparing to some western lyrics this is still mild 🤷🏻♀️ we wouldn’t think anything about it if it was a western based pop star singing it 🤷🏻♀️ I love it and I think JH part just spiced it up more to western standards 🤷🏻♀️ love the reaction though!💜
The song is so good, very MJ, JT vibes early 2000's. And since I was around JKs age back then, it's a trip down memorylane musicwise. Jungkooks voice, adlibs, visuals are all off the charts. The video is made so nice. And the scene with the waterdancing is just addictive. JK's lyrics are pretty ambigious, but still classy. While JH is very direct with his words. Still I feel they get interpreted the wrong way by some people. From what I understand the song is about a longdistance love. (On the phone, internet, 2D). JK wants to finally meet up and have his fantasies become reality with her consent (3D). The fact that he's singing about sexuality isn't shocking to me at all. It's a big part of life, specially when you're a young adult, or in your 20ies. It's a subject that's a natural thing and nothing bad about it. JH is rapping about him being a womenizer at first, using women, objectifying them and calling himself out for that, with some pretty clear words. But now its different, he just wants to be like JK and get this one girl on a plane to him, no strings attached, to see if they can hit it off. As an older Army, I'm not offended by the rap part. Could there be some more sophistication in the JH rap? Yep, but I don't know the guy, maybe this is his style. But I kinda liked the switch between the two, with the cadence and voice being different. JK is certainly showing off his naughty side lately, and I'm not complaining. The song is equally good without the rap. But for streaming, only the original counts.
Couldn't agree more. This is much a 90's vibe. And me being an older ARMY myself I'm not shocked at all. This is what sexy 2000 R&B sounded like. Just look at a classic song like Ushers "Yeah!". I think this is so cool - JK going all the way to show he is a grown ass man thinking about/ having sex. He has been very vocal about that this is the way he wants to go and he may put some people off. He wants to shock us all and apparently he did.
@@laurenm.6320 same!! It sounds like there’s some samplings of some of his songs in there….it was driving me crazy which ones cuz they’re tweaked a little. The production on this is crazy! Takes me back🫠
The lyrics are awfull and as ARMY I am disappointed 🫣 its just plain stupid. Maybe I am to old to get it, but JK's part is generic and just the rymes are so corny and meh. Idk... well its just a song but its sounds like jk lost a bet and had to sing something awfull 😅 🤦🏽♀️ Harlows part.. grrr I thought in 2023 we are past that kind of stuff 🙃 not my cup of tea.
@@cyann410 well the part "body to body; we got it" is not clever , and i know what champaigne and confetti means and its not making this song better but even worse 🫣 he is singing like Horny teeneger its not sexi or mature 🤦🏽♀️🫣
It's definitely better with just JK but appreciate the collaboration to get JK on more of the US radio stations and his name out more to a wider audience.
We can say that Jungkook is a prodigy when it comes to every genre he creates.Whether with his bandmates or with any collaboration. He had said it before that he will worked out on his voice or songs so that his fans will always liked it.And he didn't dissapoint it.
I enjoy the song how it is *WITH* Jack Harlow. Yes, it it is damn horny (and adult in symbolism 🍾🎉🧯💧) but it has consent written all over it, even JH's part. He sound like he is "pouting" that JK is there and now he might as well be a "dead body" with how JK attracts women away from him. It's funny and unserious. JK choose this song and he choose Jack Harlow as he likes his music. Personally I don't see the difference to songs like "Watermelon Sugar" (or whatever) - and we know all the BTS members liked the song if not necessarily enough to go to the concert. It's more fantasy than real. Thank you for your reaction! 💜
John, can you please explain what you didn't like about Jack's rap verses? Personally, I don't get it. I thought he was funny and the whole song and video are great. JK as always looked and sounded immaculate. I'm just curious what the backlash is about Harlow.
I feel aside from the 1234 part, JAck killed it and fit in well. I also dont think Jack is a "message" guy (aside from his album JAckman.) bc a lot of his songs have ridiculous lines like this but its just jokes. Ofc whether you take it as a joke is up to you, but I just feel when it comes to JAck, women, and drugs its never to be taken serious.
Jungkook just doesn’t wanna be an idol .. perfect guy without flaws . Whole his career he was living like that . Now he wants to be a human , to be himself,to do what he couldn’t do when he worked with group, simply .
Good point. He mentioned on Suchwita with Suga that he didn’t like during the early years people saying he was good at everything or that he was a great singer because he felt that he wasn’t.. it was a lot of pressure on him at a young age to be perfect. Now he wants to explore more as an artist and he’s willing to take the risk of some fans not liking the direction he’s taking. I’m sure he’s very well aware that there will be folks that are against it, especially after Seven.
Omg!!! Thank you!!!! Thank you, thank you!!!! I'm so gland I was not the only one that doesn't like the feature.... To be honest...I really really don't like it. Specially when he said 1 one, 2 girls....etc....agghh! I really hate it. I love every part of JK, but man.....idk
I loved seven but i think i love 3D more. I really loved his voice in this song and i am actually surprise what can he do with his vocal tunes. About Jack harlow lyrics yeah dude is actually calling himself out names like h0rny and wh0re for the way he is, but i understand why someone doesnt like his part, i liked it though. Well those who are not into his part they can listen alternate version which is without JH and adlibs in last part are super good. 🎶 So if you are ready, And if you let me.. 🎶 YES JUNGKOOK MY MAN CONSENT IS SEXY 🔥
Gracias Carolina.Quedé confundida. No entendí.

No quiero ofender a nadie. Es simplemente mi opinión.(Que nadie me pidió,jajajajaajaj) Muchas personas prefieren la otra versión. Cariños para todos.
John Reaves Live. I’m from Jack Harlow’s home town and the one thing I can tell you is it’s always a deep dive with his lyrics. He wants us to go…..”Wait a minute? What did he just say?” I recommend you listen to his songs - Denver, Blame it on me and Gang Gang Gang.
I enjoy the music and the sound of the rap but I’m not a fan of the misogyny. Once again I’m torn about one of my boy’s songs. I like it? I don’t like it? I guess that’s part of art. It startles us and makes us think. Chapter 2 is interesting. 💜
I made a short video for JK on TikTok using the song and some of the pics. He basically said he "was" and he basically changed from being bad to good. That is my take on it. But yes JK just wanted the girl with him in person and not on the phone. It goes nicely with the fact that he only uses his phone as a watch. Toodles
Tbh I don’t love or hate jack’s feature, I’m personally not offended. It’s whatever to me, the lyrics are just corny lol but I kinda knew they would be going into it. I just don’t understand why they thought it needed a feature? The alt version with just him is so good!
I think they could have leaned into the 2000s pop rapper collab vibes more with this song. Like the style when the rapper would come out first and do a couple of bars to kind of set up the story and vibe of the song and then lead into the pop/r&b artist singing. Think Busta Rhymes with Pussycat dolls "Don't Cha." Then the rapper comes back around the bridge and then the pop/r&b artist finishes with a last chorus and adlibs. The version with Jack is growing on me though, but I think the placement of his verses could have made it even better. Like his "I'll fly you from Korea to Kentucky...I want to see you if you could touch me" line would have been a great opener to the song because JK also sings about touch in the first line of the song. I think they were trying to go for the other style that would happen in the early 2000s when the rapper or producer would come back at the end of a song and just speak but with adlibs. Kind of the like DJ Khaled "we the best, I told you we the best",or Diddy when he would hype up bad boy, or Timbaland with Justin Timberlake. They would hype up the label or the artist singing in the song like a "i told you we were gonna get another hit JK" or "we going worldwide!" I think the way the song ended miss the mark to truly close it out well. They could have closed it with JK with adlibs and let the instrumental run which ironically is another very 2000s/90s way to end a song. I still love the song (with Jungkook's vocals and vibes how can you not), but it could have hit a little harder with better placement.
Edging into a more mature territory?! He said CHAMPAIGNE CONFETTI in front of a gushing fire hydrant!!!! There is no edging here - he is at a full run while keeping his eyes downfield.
Like collaboration with Justin Timberlake over Jack Harlow's vulgarity by male dominance of using women as objects. Sorry too strong a feminist to get past his lyrics. Justine's lyrics more well thought through. Just my take though
