I agree I enjoy watching their live stuff more. Having said that their MVs are pretty damn good though. If you're doing Swansong make sure you start with the Chopin intro. and that its from the 2020 Five of a Kind tour.
There is a lot of Crazy guitar parts going on in this song. One of the most technically difficult songs of theirs imo. On their Live DVD they pull this one just as perfect. After the Live Videos the Studio versions are almost a let down and I don't mean that in a bad way. Rock on Brother.

So-so anime but wicked theme song. Hey anime themes are not supposed to have guitar solos......Lovebites "oh yeah, watch this" !!! Midori really squeals that poor ESP (listen carefully and you can hear it begging for mercy). Forget the negative comments, if they are not constructive you are wasting your time giving them any notice and if they bug you just block them. You know which channel I think is super underrated? Metal Piano Music. The guy spends weeks composing classic metal songs into classical/relaxing piano pieces and he hardly gets any views. I love his arrangement of Holy Diver by Dio. That dude deserves millions of followers 🤷
Awsome reaction of yours!! There are three versions of this song and each version is the right version for each meaning. This anime Vladlove version is the right version because this song is written for that animated cartoon. There is Lovebites version which is MV without animation and this version is visually beautiful and an excellent video work. Then, the third version is "live" and this is the best version "for my personal taste". I never thought they could do this song live this good. I strongly recommend you to try those three versions to compare, not for reaction but for your pleasure.
You were thinking about Morgana from the Darkstalkers game series and I thought the exact same thing the 1st time I saw this version of the MV. This was made after the producer of the VladLove anime asked them to compose an intro song for the series and it is the alt one that starts the even numbers of episodes (12 episodes in total). Sadly, the anime did not live up to my expectation and is more a "comedy" than an action one. I had to put comedy in " cause I may have laughed twice in 6 hours. Swan Song I do think you will appreciate a lot for different reasons. May I suggest my 2nd favorite band after Lovebites but with my favorite singer and drummer, it is Unlucky Morpheus and their song Dignity of spirit (song is in Japanese but you don't need to understand the words to feel the song), it is on their official youtube channel and it is a live version. Band started in 2008 and 99% of their songs are in Japanese, I can only recall 3 songs in English, 1 from last year and 2 from around 2012

You will head down another rabbit hole with them.
Yeah mate they are amazing shredders. My suggestion for live show is the songs Addicted and Epilogue. And you can see another face of the band especially with the second song Epilogue. Enjoy it.
midori and miyako are also my favorite element of the band but not by a lot. i love how you know the awesome solos are coming every time but they still melt you regardless of the fact
Nothing beats looking at beautiful young ladies playing and singing your favorite kind of music, so yeah, I am with you on preferring the live performances over the studio ones. For the most part they sound better too. Asami's vocals tend to sound better live than in the studio. Not sure why that is.

@@rockdariff Tarja was with them until 2005. From 2007 - 2012 they had Anette Olzon (Sweden) as their female vocalist. She was replaced by Floor Jansen (the Netherlands) while they were touring the US in 2012. Floor is still their lead vocalist. She can sing any style, be it operatic, rock, pop or metal. She can even grunt, if needed. Her style is totally different from Tarja's and she is, in my opinion, the perfect fit for Nightwish.
