It’s sad that they’re so underrated because they’re so good. From what I heard from other people rock isn’t too big in Korea, plus with idol groups being cutesy is very important and they aren’t “cute” because of the darker tone. 5 of the members used to be a different group but they added 2 members and changed their theme to this darker/rock theme which I think works way better for them.

You've probably read some comments about this already, here's a few answers to some of your questions: *-* The continuation of 'Scream' is what you reacted to before this: Boca. *-* The reason they aren't as popular as they should be is because they are a kpop group, and Korea isn't very supportive of rock/metal as a genre so most of Dreamcatcher's fanbase is western - however as a kpop group they need the support of a domestic fanbase (in Korea) to become 'big'. *-* Yes they do like rock/metal, it was actually mostly the members of Dreamcatcher that pressed on/supported the rock influences incorporated into their re-debut. Some of them are fans of groups such as BabyMetal (whom I noticed that you reacted to) Also with regards to their 're-debut' - they were original a completely different group called 'Minx', which was unsuccessful and didn't stand out from the pack, and so they disbanded + redebuted as 'Dreamcatcher'. I hope this little bit of insight helped :)

I didn't know about them before we decided to make a dance cover with our team on their "You and I". At that time I was surprised that K-pop has groups like this because I love listen to rock so much. This girl group is one of my favourite.

Thank you for the reaction, glad that you like the song 🔥🤘🏼😃 Dreamcatcher is underappreciated in their own homeland coz rock is the least genre general people expect from a girlgroup in South Korea and they come from small company so they're rarely being hyped by the medias. Some korean reactors said their music is too intense and some other never heard about em. They do have a lot of fans in SK but not as big as the other fandoms. They are more popular internationally. Btw, the continuation is Boca which u have reacted before. Both of the song are about online bullying/harassment; where people said malicious words to others and hide behind internet's "anonymousness mask". Online bullying is getting worse these days, in SK mostly the target is idols, so alot of em are in depression and some had took their own lives. Dreamcatcher themselves join the suicide prevention campaign last june.

I'm old enough to remember the 80's when rock was king with groups like Van Halen, Motley Crue, Gun's & Roses - all the stuff that was on MTV. Right now my favorite music is Kpop, and I include Dreamcatcher in that. It's a hyper-dynamic industry now with great talent, great music, great videos and it feels that special kind of era again.

If you're going to react to their past MVs make sure to do it order bc all of them are connected in one storyline! Here's a simple description of each MVs from the 'Nightmare' series Fly High (prequel): Jiu caught a spider in the backyard, but Yoohyeon killed it with magnifying glass which caused all of them to get cursed one by one by the Spider and became a nightmare Chase Me: a ghost hunter (Spider lady's ally) came to find and trap Dreamcatcher inside the 'book' that linked to each nightmares that the girls represent, but failed Good Night: the ghost hunter managed to trapped SuA but the members saved her by burning the page of her nightmare from the book, then trapped the guy inside the mirror afterwards.. the girls then escaped from that place and dropped the book in the forest You And I: Dreamcatcher members living together in a new home, they opened a small photo studio and mess with people's dream/nightmare by using their pictures taken there. but one day a lady came for a photo (which happend to be the Spider lady) ,the Spider lady then transformed and attacked Yoohyeon who killed her as a revenge. Jiu who caught the Spider in 'Fly High' knew what's going on and try to save Yoohyeon who are currently trapped in another realm by performing ritual, but Yoohyeon didn't make it to the portal at the end, now she trapped alone What: the rest of the Dreamcatcher now living apart in modern era, but Yoohyeon always appeared in the dream of the members as if she's calling for help ,especially Jiu.. the members expressed their confusion and eager to overcome the nightmare in the lyrics PIRI (ending): while wandering around Yoohyeon found a Piri (flute in Korean) ,with a hope to reunite with her members again she then use the Piri as an SOS call. right after she blow the Piri ,all of the members are summoned and now entered Yoohyeon's realm ,but in order to meet Yoohyeon each of them have to overcome their nightmare trials.. the members then eventually reunited at the end, trapped together in the 'Nightmare' P.s - Dreamcatcher's Japanese MV 'Breaking Out' can be used as an alternative ending as well

THEY ARE SUPER TALENTED YES! I only recently became a fan not knowing anything about them and now they are my number one girl group! So underrated sadly but they have gained a lot of new fans so I am happy for them and hope they will grow bigger. Most of the group has been doing this for a long while and deserve recognition because they are so talented! Also their latest album is in the top 10 albums in Korea (number 4 according to world music award chart data ) and that is good because they need local popularity for charting , shows, awards etc (international fans can also help with this but local recognition is super important)

Kpop does concepts with their music. Some concepts span across multiple videos and make a longer form story. Their debut till their song piri was their first concept/story. The new story started with scream and was continued in boca, and from what I've heard there will be a part 3.

Wow so agreeably surprised you reacted to Dreamcatcher again so soon. xD No worries, BTS has so much content, we will for sure continue to have fun together watching your videos. So Scream was released before Boca which is the continuation. IMHO they continue with the message more than the story even if we see the mask and tree. But I might be wrong. Their previous songs have a whole storyline so you should start with either their debut song "Chase me" either "Fly high" which is a prequel. "Deja Vu" and "Endless night" (this one is Japanese) are not related to other MVs so they can be watched anytime. "Rose blue" as well but it is not a real comeback (was a collab for a video game). I'm ARMY and InSomnia so I saw some similarities in both BTS and Dreamcatcher with the messages in songs, the effort the whole production also put in the story telling, etc... And both groups are such dorks/crackheads that make my days. Also, you may not know but BTS used to be from a very small company (even on the verge of bankruptcy) and was not really liked by South Korean until 2015-2016. Even if Korean ARMY are great and helped supporting and protecting the boys, they started with a big fanbase out of their own country. Dreamcatcher is also loved more outside of their own country because rock is not really what South Korean enjoy the most. But the queens are starting to get a little bit more recognition now. We are still fighting to get them a win in their own country. They are many talented KPop groups as well but these two have a special place in my heart. They're not too big because when they first debuted years ago, they had a cutesty aesthetic (which everyone had so they didn't get noticed) and the company they're under wasn't well known so they had little press and power behind them. But then they got two new members and went for this metal dark concept which no other group has really touched on before and they're quickly getting bigger and bigger 😊

The leader, JiU, is a fan of Baby Metal, and the main vocalist, Siyeon, is a fan of Warlock. So not mainstream metal but it definitely comes natural to them.
