My Dad passed away two weeks ago & before his last days this song became so significant to me more than before. I don't know what was the backstory of this song for James, but for me, all the tension, resentments & regrets i had for my dad didn't matter. What is amazing is the fact that these guys have been performing for us for 40+ years and that every member of this band is worth well over 150 million. These guys could have retired decades ago and enjoyed their wealth in peace. Thank u metallica for still entertaining us. This is a true example of what a band is. Its more than social networking, more than marketing, more than online presence, more than lgbtq, more than being overwhelmed with realtime televised war footage, its more than wearing a metallica t shirt on a catwalk to look cool, its more than being politically correct, its more than a platform to cancel eachother, its more than any podcast could ever misinform us about, it more than liking and subscribing, its more that leaving a comment. Its good old fashioned music whereby the band is genuine and really wants to entertain us.

Last time i I listened to this was when i laid my oldest brother to rest with this 2 years ago. It opened deep wounds i didn't think would heal.
