@@McKlunkers Yup. I was in the cheap seats (there wasn't a bad seat in the house). I was a senior in high school. They did two nights. Friday and Saturday. I went Saturday. What's interesting is the night that I went, they had to do 5 songs TWICE...Lars came out before the show (in his boxers) and addressed the crowd with "hey guys we're filming these shows and we had some technical difficulties last night with the video equipment on five songs, so we're gonna have to do those songs twice. So you're in for a long fucking night of Metallica!" Of course the crowd went WILD! I can't remember all of the 5 songs. Bells was one. Roam was another. King Nothing I think. But it was a trip. They'd finish the song...and then just start right over and do it again. I don't know if the lights going out mid-song (on "So What") was intentional or not, but whatever. It was awesome. Still to this day the best live show I've ever seen! Oh, and Corrosion of Conformity opened so that was a nice little added bonus. Just a great night all around!

Was a killer show, during "One" they did flash pots and tons of fog/smoke and marched a bunch of military guys fully dressed with helmets and guns over shoulders for what seemed like 15 mins, then launched into the baddest version of one I've ever heard. Jason was the one who brought joy, heart and soul to Metallica, and one fateful day, Lars just p***ed it all away, because they knew Jason had way better plans for the band than they did!

Well, take heart my friend. Jason made almost 100 million dollars while in the band. He owns a one square mile ranch in Idaho and is sitting on 60+ million dollars. He earns a shit ton of money from the royalties of the albums from his time in the band. After Metallica, he played a year with Ozzy and Voivod, touring overseas. Then he funded his band NEWSTED for a European tour, to the tune of 1.2 million dollars from his own pocket. He ended his band because the stress of the logistics were too much along with playing, setting up shows etc. Jason has had 8 surgeries on his wrists, shoulder and neck. He completely Tore his right bicep off the bone trying to catch a falling bass amp. Nowadays, Jason has a small private band called the CHOPHOUSE band and he plays 6 shows a year. He's healthy, happy and accomplished so much in his career, and he has so many fans like us to continue showing him the love. Have a great day
