Not quite Cliff but not bad. The bass solo is a portion of the track "anesthesia pulling teeth" from the Kill 'em all album. Originally written and performed by the master of all who play bass, Cliff Burton. Look up the channel "kello gonzales" to see a full, note for note bass cover of both anesthesia and call of ktulu

The fact I saw them 3 months later and they didn't play this bothers me. I mean the show I saw was amazing, but knowing this was on the list of songs they were playing and they didn't play this. I mean come on!

I do miss, James heavy vocal voice from the late 80s early 90s. I'd say from, late 86 to 97 was the best, James Hetfield voice ever was/has been. It was so strong and heavy. Sucks he blew his vocals out in 91. He was able to recover his vocals, but the damage did its told, because starting in 98, his vocals started to slowly not be as strong. In 2022 he still has flashes of his old strong vocals. Man's voice can only take so much. 80s and 90s they were doing 2-3 hour shows 200+ days out of the year. 2000s til now, 2022 they are still doing over 100 day tours and year. James voice has taken a literal beating. It's shocking that he sounds as good as he does now. Just unfortunately not as strong. First heard, Metallica in 1991 when I was 5, almost 6. Was in the backseat of my mother's pinto, yes.....Pinto lol. My mother started playing the, Black Album that had just came out that August of 91. So yes, my mother is also a big, Metallica fan. Still to this day, with her good little boy....me....a 35 year old man now lol.

Little bit funny that you pick/talk about James voice on a Call of Ktulu video........ :) But yes after the Black tour, around '93 he started seeing vocal coach for the first time because his voice blew out very often on the Black album tour. And also with age your voice changes a little bit, just for example in 2022 i'm not expecting Eddie Vedder hitting Unplugged '92 notes, that just wrong, and too much, they are human.... I think :)

One of like, 55378e2 underrated songs from metallica. Yes, fans are Humming along to this song. Metallica fans are the beat music band fans ever ever ever of all time. What other rock/metal/heavy metal band is there that is still able to fill 60k seat arenas in their 3rd decade of playing.....name 1 other besides, Metallica.....you can't do it.....

The "Call of Cthulhu" whose name was altered for this song was written by the original bass player Cliff Burton, I was surprised to read all the information about this "coursed" god entity, did Cliff opened a "portal" with this song? and the tragedy who follow after
