This song is so underrated. Method Man spit fire in the verse and D'Angelo vocals and instrument playing are always hitting. They mesh so well together they should collab more. I miss the '90s.
"You know I know, Go find another sucka yo, I been there before, and don't need it no more" you call that spit fire? The lyrics are dogshit but it is a good beat and melody and D'Angelo vocals are nice.
Hype Williams... Legendary Video Director. His ability to catch the sexy look aways and fade outs capturing the emotions in short bursts in this video was amazing.
Remember playing Def Jam Fight For NY? The voicemail he left in Story Mode: Yo This Blaze!!!! What Happened Last Night? You Ain't Go Home With That Beast Did You? I Swear That Girl Look Like A Foot!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the original version we know what HE REALLY SAID! but we in a time when you cant say those fun words anymore but yall still can say the N word.. smh bs
yes nowadays its just programming and subliminal satanic messages to dumbdown and lead astray our youth!! Oh for the good old days of hip hop when it was still protest musi or featured everyday themes like above, and black men had respect for black women and the music was inspirational and aspirational in a positive way etc
Meth and Dmx sound good on R&B tracks. They manage to maintain a certain grittiness while still appealing to the females. How's It Going Down by Dmx is a dope track with a similar sound.
I like 'How's It Going Down' waaaay better than this.Be honest, I don't even really feel this joint. And I ain't no young dude who listens to the crap out now.90s Hip-Hop & R & B was the Golden Era.
Method Man always delivers that smoothness, he needs no more accolades or praise, because we all know why we are watching this video that man, his lyrical progress is undeniably. An example of literary brilliance, literally should be canonised alongside Toni Morrison, Aunt, Nikki, Giovanni, just to mention to people.
I will always love me some meth.. but that damn deangelo has always been fine. Two fine men in one vid Chile..this was one underrated song and video. And just realized 50 in this video. I miss the 90’s and the vibes!! The world now is weird
As long as this song and video have been out, TODAY is the FIRST time I ever noticed 50 CENT playing one of the homies towards the end of the vid!!! 😂😂😂
This video was shot in Queens. Hype Williams, Vita, and 50Cent is from Queens. They shot this video around the time they were shooting the movie Belly.
I love Method Man that is one fine ass man. I miss this era of hip hop back when men wore loose clothing, lyrics made sense, and videos went along to the song.
"Tryna make this brotha jealous with otha fellas...all up in my face actin overzealous.... like you want sumthin from Meth...I hope it ain't love girl, cause I ain't got none left for you, plus you miserable..." Meth was NOT havin it 😂😂
Hahahahahaha...You ain't want me when you had me, now you're on your third baby daddy, and ya hate to see a brother happy...Meth's lines are simply murderous!
The only song that my two brothers played all the time so that I could get a better understanding about method man,,, and now he still is my husband,,,because he was babysitting me waayyy back then 😂😊
Never regrated being a fan of METH and the WU TANG CLAN since ...I don't even remember!! I learned English just to understand their lyrics ! WU TANG FOR EVER !!!
Damn!! I was in HS when this drop. the original Jordans were out, no retro bullshit. Parasuco jeans with the stripes on the side, Hilfiger Rain coats, cargo pants, tan and rust color timberlands, eastlands for the pretty nikkas. Brooklyn shit!! .
OforillyDAGOD Yes...I graduated in 97', and I can relate. This music was everything, Hot 97' & WBLS was the stations. Listening to Angie Martinez in the evening, while waiting for Flex to drop bombs at night...I miss NYC
