The scariest thing in this game isn’t the monsters, it isn’t the ghosts, and it isn’t the horrors of the past WW3... ...the scariest thing is when you hear a human enemy say “Huh- What was...?”

This turns into a horror theme for the enemies when you do aggressive stealth

When you get caught in the light for 0.1 seconds

I love it because it's just so strange and different.

One of the most badass combat themes I've heard in a game, when this starts you know shits kicking off and your in trouble!

POV: your throwing knife hit the guard but he somehow took no damage and alerted everyone

What's fun about the stealth and combat in this game is... Like your not instantly done for if you're seen, barring 1 or 2 missions where it explicitly tells you not to raise the alarm. If you shoot the guy who saw you and break the line of sight, you fade back into the shadows, but enemies spend the entire time on high alert. Metal Gear, early assassins creed, Dxhr, stealth in most rpgs, they eventually pretend you never existed after a couple of minutes(granted it takes longer in metal gear but still). What im getting at is you have to use the dark to your advantage and hit enemies when they can't see you, and you have to keep moving otherwise they will find you and you will be gunned down in a volley of gunfire. It creates an intensity that gets your heart thumping and forces you to think on your feet, which is surprisingly rare these days! To the developers of this game, thank you for making this masterpiece

DOOM aside, this is a very blood-pumping and badass soundtrack, especially when playing Ranger Hardcore on Survival.

When u start getting shot at from everywhere on ranger hardcore difficulty. So intense :D

I always thought the Metro games were "good enough to beat once and toss", then after exodus came out, I beat it, it's now one of my favorite games, and I just finished Metro 2033 and Last Light and am about to beat Exodus again. The Metro games are now my number two favorite series, and this is one of my favorite tracks in Last Light, which environmentally was my favorite metro. I recommend the games to everyone now.
