Not sure about this - he has had some issues recently. He seems to talk a long time to say relatively little. I find him a little irritating- it’s probably just me. He is obviously very learned and I feel this gets in the way of the message. Sorry to be a bit negative.

He has been criticised- and not just for his recent support of same sex marriage. I know he is a convert to Orthodoxy. Adrian Thomas Really, I think he is fascinating and very eloquently spoken. Britts are more detailed than the rest of the English speaking word- more precise in conveying what they won’t to say. I for one enjoy and learn a lot from his lectures.

The tradition of the Jesus Prayer and the Prayer of the Heart long proceeds the New Age cult, and is very unlike it. The New Age seeks to find enlightenment from created things, while the Prayer of the Heart seeks enlightenment from the Creator Himself, who dwells within those who have received Him in Baptism. The Kingdom is nothing other than God Himself. That’s why the Jesus Prayer addresses a Person, not some abstract force within us. The New Age cult does entice with the same sin that the Devil tempted Adam and Eve with-becoming God without God’s help. But the Prayer of the Heart is the effort to allow God to purify us and live within us fully, as He Himself promised-“Abide in Me, and I in you.”
