Izuru it was actually hard to find it. it took me a few weeks to months to just find it at a reasonable price. the GBA game is a lot harder and expensive.

I'm curious to how 4kids would have done season 2. *I mean, I like TMM, but you have to agree it has some messed-up stuff.* The episode where Zoey turns into a cat has rape jokes and offensive stereotypes, for crying out loud. Another episode has an adult trying to marry Kiki. Then there's Corina slapping a girl in the face. And don't get me started on Zoey's dad forbidding her from dating because he wants all of his daughter's attention for himself.

@@eymed2023 I don't know where you got the "rape jokes" from. There aren't any in the anime. I'm not sure what you mean by "offensive stereotypes" either. Also, Yuebing Long is most likely a teenager, not an adult. You can't really judge the characters ages by their voices. Ryou has one of the deeper voices in the Japanese version of the show and he was only 15 and Zakuro was only 14-15.

​@@HikaYagami I'm referring to one specific episode. Remember that cat forcing himself onto Ichigo/Zoey? I'm sure that's considered sexual assault, and it's portrayed as a joke. She also makes mean comments calling the cat a "weirdo" and a "momma's boy", like that has some correlation with being an offender. That's what I'm referring to as offensive stereotypes. As for the boy trying to marry Bu-ling/Kiki, even if he's a teenager, it's still questionable, and I'm not the first one to point this out. Believe me, I wish TMM got dubbed in full. I'm just speculating as to why it wasn't, considering the strict censorship that plagued anime in the west back then. I'm not personally bothered by these things, I just feel it should be mentioned. Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to one of my comments. I sometimes talk about serious or controversial topics, and not everyone is as polite as you were.

​@@eymed2023 I try to respect others' opinions while having my own. I might be a bit blunt at times but there is no malice or anger when that accidently slips out XD. As for your comment, I tend to think an accusation that big would involve actual... well the word that is in that type of assault, which I don't think kissing qualifies. Sure, I don't agree with someone forcing a kiss without permission but I wouldn't really amount it to a crime that extreme, especially when characters like Quiche have done worse. The whole thing with Francois reminded me of the episode of Sailor Moon where Luna had to deal with that one fat cat that wouldn't get out of her personal space. I found the humor to be from the whole ridiculousness of the situation. As for the other one, while it seems outdated by a lot of western standards, there are quite a few places that still have marriages by betrothal. Yuebing Long was at least respectable to Bu-Ling and didn't force anything, even saying that a marriage wouldn't happen until they were of age. Even then, I doubt it would've happened since her and Tart are pretty canon in the end. As for 4Kids, they probably would've kept the cat parts since it doesn't involve people and there's no actual lip contact. For the latter, they upped Kikki's age to 14, so she would've been about a couple of years younger than him at the least. But I wouldn't be surprised if they would've added them not agreeing to it by the end of the episode and giving a moral like "only marry for love". Although, that last scenario won't really matter since it wasn't in the manga, so it will most likely not be in the anime reboot XD.

​@@HikaYagami That's actually a pretty good observation. I'm not sure why 4kids decided to up the girl's ages, but now that you mentioned it, it does help the age gaps a bit less strange. I was too harsh on the Francois episode, the way I phrase it made it seem a lot more shocking than it actually is. Sometimes, works of fiction can be disturbing when you think of their real-life implications. Maybe I'm just overthinking. Unrelated, but since you brought up Sailor Moon, I find there are some parallels that can be drawn between the two shows. Maybe they're just coincidences, but the more you look, the more they start to pile up. I sometimes wonder if one might have been loosely inspired by the other.

Sorry, but on the multiple reruns of mew mew power, that episode *did* air, and all episodes were aired in chronological order. I'm sure you know this by now though haha

@@RaverRacer Strange. None of the TV guides for PopGirl ever listed that episode during the reruns. I made sure to check every time it the re-run cycle happened. A lot of fans from the UK told me the episode never came up as well.

@HikaYagami mew mew power had a lot of reruns on Pop too. The episode *definitely* aired, as I never watched the show except on TV, and recognised the song from it when I listened to it later. It may well not have aired on Popgirl but it definitely *did* air

@@RaverRacer Yeah. As I mentioned, I checked the TV Guide that was on Popgirl's website as it was airing, and the Pilot episode was always skipped. It listed episode 26, "Coo Coo Coccoon", and then the TV Guide listed the next episode to be "The Mew Kid in Town", which was the 2nd episode of the dub.

@HikaYagami it's unfortunate that the pop channels never had tv listings published in physical tv guides as those are mostly archived well. I could try checking archived Pop tv guides from circa 2008-09, but there's no guarantee the correct day would be found. but all I can tell you is the episode definitely aired on UK TV It's sad that a lot of cool stuff about the POP channels are just not documented at all, despite the best efforts of some of us

Well 4Kids is defunct, so it'll be a bit TOO easy for Viz to acquire the rights to it.

Kodansha already re-did the manga, and now were getting a reboot. Maybe with the new reboot, we could get a new dub.
