Most people who don’t do that naturally are mouth breathers and they’re mouth breathers because of breathing issues either nasal issues or asthma. I had both growing up.

Your bones as an adult are still quite malleable, less malleable than a teenager’s but still malleable which means that with time you will eventually see results, they might just take a bit longer.

I head its harder after the age of 25 but still possible.

I'm 25 and my dentist is going to advance my jaw and said nothing about surgery. I'm assuming sometimes your jaw can be pushed back without it actually being too small. Maybe that's what happened to you? Go get it checked out.

@@saitama3795 That's interesting. I visited an ortho after a bit of research and they said they could align the jaw and pull the teeth down but advancing the chin would require surgery. I'll get another consultation because when my jaw is relaxed i can push it out quite easily, maybe braces can do a bit more than they were letting on.

No idea. But I specifically asked them if I'd need surgery when they mentioned it. When they first saw me they said that they could easily tell why I've had chronic jaw pain (which has been for a few years now) "Your teeth are angled inwards and have shoved your jaw backwards. First we'll straighten your teeth and then advance your jaw" so I'm assuming it's gonna be with rubber bands. I honestly can't wait. I'm not an ugly guy now and the pain is the biggest issue here, but having a stronger jaw and chin would be awesome at the end of the day. I have been a bit insecure about my side profile especially, in the past... lol.

@@saitama3795 Same boat as you mate, not a deal breaker because i still have somewhat of a jaw line (underbite is not severe) but when i rest my teeth on the lower set i look terrible so i am very self aware when I'm chewing my food. Also the side profile is a bit weak looking. From the front and diagonal view i look fine, hence why i think surgery is a step too far. But i did consider it seeing the results, but it is so invasive and can get nerve damage from it. I will never under any circumstances go for a chin implant lol.

But in photos my profile doesn't seem particularly bad, and as I've become more accepting of myself I notice that women have responded much better to me as I've become more confident and carried myself drastically better. Honestly, I wouldn't take surgery lightly but I'm sure that it could be life changing. As far as I'm aware, there are dental occlusions and skeletal. Skeletal being "my lower jaw didn't grow enough, it's too small in relation to my upper jaw" which typically could only be resolved with surgery. And then there are (and I would assume that this would be a possibility) dental occlusions where it looks like the jaw is too small but it's been set back due to improper and undesirable teeth growth/shifting/angling which is basically my problem. A google search on it reveals that chronic pain can easily arise from the jaw putting pressure on your ear canals/drums which can lead to TMJ-like symptoms and tinnitus and stuff like that. So as far as I know, he said that once the jaw is aligned the pressure will all be relieved and I'll feel like a million bucks. Guess we'll have to see as they get on with it. So far I've only got my upper braces, in a week it'll be the first month and I get the bottoms. My teeth are relatively pretty straight already to begin with from the front view. Had one upper canine(?) that was a bit recessed in the gums and coming out at an angle but after about 3 weeks it's already looking significantly better to the point where someone wouldn't pick any of my top teeth out at this point as being 'out of place' - and I only have one bottom tooth that is noticeably out of alignment. I know that the teeth aren't straight, but it's in a way that isn't immediately apparent when I flash a toothy smile/grin. Excited to see how my profile improves though, once the teeth are straightened (assuming that I don't get bands or a jaw-advancing appliance installed before the teeth are fully straightened) I definitely have a jaw line, but I do feel like I'm physically like an incomplete version of myself, y'know.. Not my best self. So it's time to change that. lol.

The climate is screwing up and causing Extreme societal changes. This is something women see and notice in other females who believe they can do all that men can, and No they can’t. It’s not feasible and it’s laughable to women who appreciate our gender and the roles that are innate over choices. Many know both both men and women now days together work for a goal as team they bring financial worth and security to relationships. These women are nurturing and the men are the protectors. I respect and believe this works when it’s healthy. On the other hand this too is where relationships get messy and complicated, morals matter as much as a bearded man with a bald head, and a woman who’s measurements aren’t perfect and her roots show. Perfection on the outside is something many pay attention to now as that can mean inside something and someone else is hiding behind a mask. I know men have been pushed into being emasculated with skinny jeans and society changes. Now seeing men with all kinds of facial hair and it wasn’t this way when I was younger. The external changes are limited with men, men don’t use a new color nail polish and jewelry with thousands of options for hair styles. Now with the beards they don’t bother me in the least with or without it depends on who he is and why he’s comfortable being him. Don’t want the bad boy from the 80’s sporting jeans with sausage in the crotch of his pants, those over 12 who act like outlaws in the Wild West. Promise many Women see more than some may think. I’ve seen this men to the extremes where their names should have been Don Juan, Do Jon and Machiavelli JR. Please hear me and Don’t react negatively as this is warning not an accusation. As long as you know who you are, and your intentions as a man have it. If you have more than one woman and they know they’re not the only one and are okay with it great. Women and men would want to know who they’re sleeping with or monogamy isn’t important to each party. When you laugh about have more than one woman because your beard is attracting more, your intimate needs are being met. Speaking as a bald guy (since my 20’s) with facial hair that used to be super weak (and still somewhat is). A.) I 100% hear and feel where you’re coming from. B.) you’re probably not giving yourself enough credit for the things you DO have (I guarantee you have stronger/more masculine eyebrows than I have. C.) the more facial hair attempts I make over the years and the more love I give my facial hair (then shaving down for awhile, then attempting again) the stronger my facial hair game has gotten. D.) For now, try focusing on style, accessories, and self care (exercise/skin care/diet/self love). That’s what I’ve been attempting and it’s helping with my confidence in general. Our hair (or lack thereof) doesn’t define us. WE define us. (Virtual bald bro hug)

Mewing does not work. The study that showed it work only worked because at night the patients wore an orthotic that pulls forward the lower jaw - which is something I wear as a part of my TMJ splint therapy. Mewing during the day and doing nothing at night will literally reverse all the “progress” you made during the day
