In this video we make new floorboards, install seat belt mounts and veneer the dash.
Unfortunately I lost the videos showing the veneering of the dash. I tried a couple of times to get the files fixed but was not able to do so. That is why this video is so late and comes after Part 13.
I mention a couple of times that I'm going to show the installation of the wiring harness but I never ended up shooting video for that mostly because I had no idea what I was doing and it took forever.

Completely enjoying your video. I had a 53 TD but had to chose between it or paying for my senior year at Villanova. Life can be cruel at times. But now I can enjoy your work. I'm eighty and retired for 20 years. -Curt

Good job but prefer the original dash. This is a "common" man's sports car, not an Aston Martin. PS I worked on Aston Martins at an official dealership for 4 years 68-72. We also had Rolls, Austin, Jag, MG, Bentley, Lotus, Morris, etc. My first car in 1964 was a 1953 MG TD MK II.

I think the rear part of the tunnel goes under the floor boards. The trans cover goes over... Go figure 😎

Yep, tunnel edges are underneath the floorboards and the trans cover goes on later and on top of the floor boards. With it this way you can at least access the bell housing without removing the floorboards.

I just bought a 1951 MG TD the car of always wanted the small project but I noticed floorboards which have been replaced there's a space between the board and the car all the way around the edge is there supposed to be one there or were these done incorrectly can anybody tell me I would really appreciate it

There is a small gap, not much. Look in Part 15 and you can see floorboards installed. Good luck with your project!

What is the info on the insulation/sound deadening material you put over the muffler and inside the tunnel?

For the tunnel and over the muffler I used Design Engineering 050502 Floor & Tunnel Shield II. For the rest of the body panels I used Noico 80 mil car Sound deadening mat.
