Honestly, as much as I like to defend devs in general, I have to agree with your rant about Gunner weapons and the Deagle. The MG3 blows its load faster than I do and you only get 100 rounds that you have to pay 3 credits for because, yeah, a base 50 rounds capacity for a machinegun that's 1200rpm, takes ages to reload while MG42s had stuff like 250 rounds belts is totally reasonable. And that visual recoil definitely makes the gun usable and does not make the poor economy totally worse because you have no way of knowing where you're aiming at unless you have a laser.
The 250-round belt is basically a "fortress belt" that is only whipped out for tripod mounted MGs and the belt box is basically the size of the M2 .50 cal 100-round belt box that as far as I know can't be mounted on the side of the gun. If you want the 250-round belt then sorry no reload I guess

@@invictusangelica Yes, I'm guessing it was used for entrenched positions, where the gun is not really supposed to move around, but 100 rounds really isn't a lot when it comes to the MG3, especially since you pay 3 credits for it.
Correct. not to mention having 250 rounds and not reloading is still more effective than 2 100 round belts and arguably better than 3 100 rounders because at least you're not stopping to reload every two seconds

To be honest, I felt this video is borderline a joke and a serious video because I do have a lot of issues with MG3 and the stuffs mentioned here are absolutely real.
So what I gathered from this colorful guide is that MG3 goes BRRRRRRRT, missing everything that isn't in the same room as you, and then it takes a minor eon to reload, but goddamn if you aren't styling on fools with your beautiful piece of Teutonic engineering.
They should add the rpk it was designed as a squad automatica weapon anyway just give a base mag size of 45 rounds and give it an option to take 60 round mags
been saying this since ever. AK's in the game are modelled with the 75 round drum irl when you equip the 50 rounder I don't see why we can't have an RPK with a 40 rounds, give AK's a smaller drum model and let the RPK have a 75 round upgrade.

There're so many great choices apart from M60 and RPD: Stoner, MG36, Bren or DP28 as an entry level option (still used in some conflicts), even M16LSW would be cool

In Warthunder, MG42 and MG3 had difficulty with taking down helicopter or airplanes even with AP rounds setup. In this game, MG3 can be a RPG substitute for taking down helicopter with a long burst fire.
You know what we're getting in the next update? The _KSG_ . Every time someone tries to argue Sandstorm is about "realism" in any way remind them of the last 2 years of development. Can we get the game we had in 2019 back?

He didn't even mention how the RPG is the best melee weapon but I digress. I am Dork Barnacle and you're watching, Fun Guide. The MG3 is good, but how do you use it? Put a laser on it and just go to town. No, seriously. Put a damn laser on the MG3 and use it as a crosshair because it's always centered in the middle of your screen (as long as you're ADS), though this probably isn't a smart idea in PvP but who the hell plays that anyway. Also, use the extended mags. That will help too, probably. Now that you got the good stuff on your MG3 now let's talk about tactics. Run headfirst into the enemy's position and only use this in CQC because it's good at that sorta thing. Anyway, that concludes this episode of Fun Guide, stay tuned because we'll be talking about the future Rifleman weapons in the upcoming Operation Shitlord.

The more I think about it the more I feel that Insurgent Gunners need the RPK (because Aks already have a 50rd drum, although this should be a true 75rd drum like in the OG _Insurgency)_ And with that I feel that the Security Gunners need the AUG H-BAR (because the AUG in coop already has 42rd extended mags). It would give both classes more mobile and controllable alternatives with integral bipods, and be easiest to implement.
So I guess NWI's logic is like "well the insurgent rifles are basically all better than security so let's make all the ins machineguns shit and op on security so security can just lock down lanes and camp sightlines until the 1 sniper on your team figures out how to aim"

I don't really think there's anything to add for machine gunner since they have all they need, like Galils are literally just a cheaper AKMs, both teams have mid-tier MGs for middle range and a friggin destroyers of the galaxy (but having 50-100 rounds) I really doubt there is anything else to add, except maybe RPK-12 (or RPK-74) with 95 rounds mag and MG36 with 100 rounds mag, but it's the best I can think of
