Great early video mate, I used to do mgbs as well, done a few from a bare shell, used to run classics full time, I wouldn't have a moden car, ran a bike, jensen and 69 roadster as my full time cars about 15 years ago. Used to chrome bumper rb mgbs and got quite quick doing them, off to France in mgbs, 80 in o/d, 37 mpg, most weekends.
My son and l have a 75 that needs to be restored as well. Hopefully only a couple of years to do it as it's not as bad from the start body wise. Electrical, on the other hand.... we've bought a whole new harness that will need to be wired in over the winter. The interior, body and motor will come after that. Especially interested your bumper conversion as we want to do that as well. Lovely job so far. 👍
@@ChopsGarage sorry, l wasn't clear in my comment. My son and l started with a 1975 MGB Roadster, we ended up buying a second 1975 Roadster shell that had come up from California. We weren't too sure what sort of headache the initial car might be as salt corrosion is a worry in Atlantic Canada, and we started to see other issues arise (like the electrics). One thing has led to another so we'll finish the shell together, then my son will take over the original as he wants to install a V8. Love your work, though. Thankfully, no Alfa's to worry over. (They're mostly unheard of here)
Nice car but people spend far to much time and money on fettling MGBs these cars just arnt worth the outlay and work...they are just not special enough for that... I prefer to see a nice solid tatty B that dosent look like it just left the showroom... My B is tatty but loved this is the 4th B I've owned everyone tatty and unpamperd just like they should be 😂👍
