Even if it was just a full cutscene, yeah. Because, when has that NOT hapoened in an MGS game. But what's done is done, and MGS had a great run. I was with it from the start (except for the MSX ones - those would come years later). Today, it remains my favorite game series of all time.

My guess is that it would be the same as the first Sahelanthropus fight except with occasional XOF squads also shooting at you. Despite the fact the reel says that you’re fighting with the combined forces of Diamond Dogs, MGSV doesn’t support AI soldiers fighting each other.

Otacon designed REX. The explanation was that Otacon was subconsciously thinking back to Sahelanthropus because of the time he was forced to test pilot it as a child.

+Fake Name As far as I know Kojima is "just" a Konami employee, and even though he created and made the series to what it is today, Konami owns all rights to it. Should they ever continue the franchise without Kojima I'm quite sure it'll mark the immediate ending for the franchise. Kojima = MGS and MGS = Kojima :(

This mission would have cost so much more money and time that I think it was scrapped early in development. The extreme missions are just a matter of changing some settings, so they really don't compare.

+Fake Name Do I hope to see the games true ending? Absolutely. Whether it be by DLC or something as silly as Konami showing us a cutscene about how the game ends, I want and need closure. Do I think anything will happen? I'm afraid I can't really answer that. To me it would make no sense for Konami to go on complete radio silence for 3 months, creating a massive ruse by kicking Kojima out, supposedly even preventing him from attending TGA 2015, only to announce on (let's say) January first 2016: "lol, jokes on you, here's chapter 3", after which they announce that the entire ruse went according to plan. Kojima is still Konami's VP, Geoff Keighley was in on everything and MGS6 is being released in 2018... I'm quite sure that by now a lot of players have put the game away, or have perhaps already sold it. What's the point of waiting so long? Add to that that after the initial discovery of the Chapter 3 title card no further info has been found apart from the nuclear disarmament cutscene, and I'm afraid I might have to say this is the end. However, very relevant questions still remain. Like why would Konami even include the "phantom episode" on the collectors edition if they weren't going to release it in some form or shape in the first place. Had they not included it no one would've missed it. Second, why on earth include a chapter 3 title card if there is no actual chapter 3. It's obviously possible someone simply forgot to delete it when the game was released, but why is it still there in version 1.0.6? That makes no sense. I truly wish there's more to come but I'm not sure about anything anymore :-(

As far as I can remember they don't appear anywhere ingame in the final version. Yep thats the one. The way he throws his head back, his body, it seems the same, just a different angle and with some changes. There were changes in the trailers, like the scene where the real big boss rides off on the motorbike being changed to have a prosthetic arm and horn.

As far as I can remember from MGS1 REX's remains were never removed after the final boss fight with Liquid, which seems to be the case according to wikia.com: Shadow Moses incident: "... In the meantime, the damaged wreck of the original prototype lay wasted and abandoned in the underground maintenance base where it had been destroyed..." Guns of the Patriots incident: "In 2014, Liquid Ocelot returned to Shadow Moses Island and salvaged the rail gun from Metal Gear REX's remains with which to launch a nuclear strike on the Patriots's core AI. Since it had been developed before the SOP system's introduction and had lain untouched since 2005, it was the only WMD that could be used to make such a strike..." Because thats where Rex was the whole time lol? Remember in MGS1, which was all on Shadow moses island, you fought it? Then in MGS4 you return to Shadow moses as Liquid Ocelot wants to use the rail gun from Rex.

It never moved, after solid snake defeated MG Rex, it was left abandoned, liquid ocelot return to the shadow moses island to steal the rail gun, destroy the patriot AI and free Big Boss, that was his entire plan from the very beginning

This is unfinished content that was cut from the game because Kojima was fired before it could be finished meaning this mission will never be playable

Isaiah Aguilera yeap, mission 51 was meant to be you as Venom Snake, fighting sahelanthropus again, then it would head to chapter 3 Peace, where you would be disarming the nukes (in theory, but makes sense)
