There is something about this video that I can’t place, from the music to the amazing gameplay and the exposition from Kaz. It feels like a race against time and I love every second of it.
I think what gives it a sens of urgency is that it is like a continuous shot in a movie where the protagonist has to save someone he deeply cares about using the deadly precision of all his training and has to do it “before the end of the world” with a music soaring in crescendo.
The music is fantastic. All it makes me think about are those movies that have a bunch of twists and turns that go unnoticed throughout but at the end the main character has that crazy moment of realization where everything clicks into place and certain scenes from earlier are played like flashbacks but the focus is on those details that you missed the first time and it changes everything about the movie. This is totally that kinda track.
Bruh thats so me right now lol. I dont have the patients to slowly stealth through every mission like i use to back in Snake eater and sons of liberty...so i just mark everything and snipe them or send Quite or Doggo after people.
This video singlehandedly motivated me to buy MGSV, fall in love with it, play the hell out of it, master the mechanics and get decent at FOB infiltrations, and then get Ground Zeroes and play the hell out of that too, culminating in doing this mission just like he did in this video. (Just not as clean, obviously.) In 2020. Let the legend come back to life.
Damn, makes me wanna give this game a fair try. Never been into stealth games but a friend of mine gifted me both GZ and TPP. So I guess I should try to at least go through TPP once (already did GZ)
Photon *Ground Zeros* I’m putting this in because there’s MGSV Ground Zeros, and MGSV The Phantom Pain. This is Ground Zeros, which, is MUCH shorter than TPP
It’s really immersive. Just watching this brings back good memories from just like two years ago. I think cyberpunk will do the same in a few years when I look back (and laugh at the bugs)
This is exactly the tier of gameplay I was hoping to find. Didn't wanna sit thru a let's play of someone learning game mechanics and struggling with the strategy of best completing missions. I wanted content that displayed mastery, and made it a point to approach the gameplay as if it was Snake controlling himself. Thank you. Wish I had found this long ago.
Great. Do look around the channel for other MGSV videos posted. They aren't as flashy and "snobbish" as this one but, it is highly likely you'll enjoy them. And, if not don't forget to click on the dislike button. Cheers!
you would need to be good at drug trafficking, human trafficking (SLAVERY), sniping presidents, flying planes into tall buildings, committing false flag shootings and other crimes, etc etc. to be considered for CIA. didnt work out too well for pappy bush once he was caught now did it.
Me too, unlike MGS2.... this game is x1000 of that. I thought i was a pro at MGS2 so when i played MGS5 i was surprised at how insanely hard this game is. Also how long it takes to do just 1 mission when scouting take me an hour and the mission itself takes me a few hours.
@@Clouds12012 I move with stealth but I move pretty quick. If you're proficient with headshots and don't mind a supply drop here and there you could probably clear a mission in a hour and a half
I don't think it works on GZ nowadays. Probably got patched at some point. I played some missions on Hard and trust me, enemy AI will spot you around 60 meters or less with ease.
I think the story is great, it ties a lot of loose ends up. It’s just a shame they never made cutscenes for all the tapes, that’s my only gripe is that a lot of story is in those tapes and it can get boring sitting and listening to 10 minute long tapes.
@@firstbornchronicler there's actually a lot of videos explaining the story on RU-vid, and how it's like a misunderstood masterpiece that is meant to subvert expectations just like the whole MGS2 Raiden thing, plus the end of that game, *combined* I think anything Kojima does is a work of genius but I'm a shill lol
Personal Persona I think Phantom Pain was too big for it’s own good. Metal Gear fans love it, whereas casual players enjoyed the gameplay but the story lacked. I think when a franchise has been going since the 1980’s, the story is going to be lost on some people. I fall into the former camp, I think the story is awesome and like yourself I think that Kojima is awesome.
Shadow Of Light He deserved it, but props for not betraying his men. No... instead he gave the enemy the option to blow them up. 😂 (The enemy being Big Boss/the player lol)
I just bought the game in it's entirety for 5 dollars on the PS Store, and having finished it already, seeing this makes me wanna dive back in for another 300+ hours....
me to except I baught it for like 3.something euros, MGS V phantom pain, ground zeroes and online, althought I can't play it because of playstation plus.
This is so cinematic! We follow the actions of boss as he runs through this camp. The further in he goes the more Miller explains it's interesting history. The music just shoots it through the roof. Make this into a movie.
Wild that this legendary video is almost 8 years old now, it was prolly one of the biggest reasons I wanted to try this game out. Great job on this, part 2 and on the phantom pain videos! Theyre all fantastic
Man, it's almost like watching an E3 gameplay trailer where everything is clearly staged and just happens to line up in a way for the player to do exactly what they need to do in that moment. But it's *actual* gameplay. Now that's dedication. 😮
I've watched a lot of mgs videos but this one is my top favorite, when the music picks up as you take his weapon in the begining is just epic timing. You played the shit out this demo for sure!
God this game still plays and looks as brilliant as any other game out there. Still on my 10 ten games I’ll never delete. Especially on my deployments when I can break the system out this is one that is always being played.
2 years ago and this comment is still relevant. Even today, 7 years after release the game is still ahead of it’s time, no games today feel as smooth and easy to pick up.
Ground zeros just makes me sad cause it was like the type of big infiltration missions I wanted in phantom pain but with all the cool gadgets you get in the Mgs V just sad it was mostly outside and didn’t really have a story
Just cause it didn’t have 20 unnecessary plot twists every hour doesn’t make the story bad. I’m a Metal Gear fan and even I can admit that the story probably just seems bad cause fans are so desensitized to the extremely convoluted story structure of every other Metal Gear.
GuyGunslinger that’s what I mean it’s his opinion if he thinks it didn’t have a story it has nothing to do with him being desensitized he just thinks it wasn’t good
I was hesitant to buy phantom pain because of my potato pc. I know this is ground zeros but after seeing how fluid the gameplay can be from your video, I decided to give it a shot. And it's running way better than I expected. Thanks for changing my mind :)
I just figured it out: Judging by the date when this video was posted, this guy was very hyped for mgsV so he kept replaying ground zeroes. Since there’s basically one long mission in it, he’s gotten so good at it that his skills became godlike. He was probably really good at the main game afterwards.
This is one of my fav clips on RU-vid. Overall. Have to keep coming back regularly. And I haven’t even played the game. Cinematography and atmosphere is unreal.❤
I’ve got about 500 hours in MGSV and I’m ready to do all over again thanks to you, love playing like this. This game can make you feel like an absolute bad ass genius.
I bought MGSV TPP and the vast open world with huge ass outposts and hundreds of ways to take them out lethally or not is far more addictive than any other game I've played. Skyrim was my drug but this game is something far more than a drug, it's everlasting happiness
The music makes this feel like the final act of an espionage film where the protagonist has finally pulled off the impossible he thought he never could accomplish
Most of the "pro MGS" content I've seen has been crazy exploitative with enemies' vision cones; hearing, location etc; more akin to a speed-run then anything close to a stealth opp. This however seems like it could be a choreographed mission in a movie, props to you man.
Believe it or not, this is what metal gear speedrunners use to do. It wasnt always about getting the best time, it use to be about showing people what's possible with the mechanics provided. That all ended with GDQ.
I'm glad this finds its way back into my recommendations every now and then. Always nice to know someone else cared as much about Ground Zeroes as I do.
The music makes the whole video seem like big boss is trying to save the world while there’s a timer thats about to go off and make the whole earth explode. Especially with miller talking in the background while the music gets more serious. I love it.
I was expecting some kind of super fast headache inducing twitch gameplay but instead I saw streamlined super efficiency at it's best. You're pretty good.
this guy is truly a monster. ive been playing metal gears since the beginning but this guy has something truly awesome worked out in all this play time. amazing input on those controls dude kudos
Because of this video, the song carries me through a whole journey of emotions. Its on my cruise playlist late nights. Thanks for your skill and talent!
This game absolutely sucks. Can't believe i played 40 hours of it just to see if i like it cuz people ride kojima junk for it. Absolute disappointment in terms of gameplay.
@@mishikokenkebashvili879 see this is where your comment falls flat and gets thrown under the lame ass troll category. While the game's story is nothing to be that impressed about, the game play and graphics are literally unparalleled. You sir made a total nut job out of yourself
@@jonasfadi8213lmao cmon dude im not trolling i played several tens of hours of that game literally the most boring shit ever. Clunky animations, generic gameplay. Idk why you guys like it so much i just can't see
But more accurately this was a glorified 2 hour tech demo as opposed to a 50+ hour game, and this was the demonstration of the engine so they went out of there to give you as many tool kits to play with in the smaller more detailed space
I keep coming back to this vid and now i've been thinking that if i never saw any movie or played mgs in my life before i would have believed that's what a movie looks like in this day and age or at least an episode of a series whatsoever. The funny thing is that it's just a side ops from Ground Zeroes that can be done in less than 5 minutes, yet you can just sit back, relax, grab a snack and watch this to get that "Phantom pain" out of you.
i've beaten everysingle MGS game without killing anyone not scripted to die or firing a bullet, apart from the story parts that force you to fire a rocket launcher or something i only used the tranq pistol. gotta have spent 3000 hours minimum doing this with restarts and everything. no ragrets
You know, I've never gone back to ground zero, since starting Phantom Pain, and finishing it. I think its time, I remembered this video and thought of you. Thank you, Boss. You'll never know how much you taught me.
I feel like GZ had better CQC animations than TPP. The door kicks, grabbing people around corners, etc. A lot of parts of GZ were really good even if still a little clunky.
@@reynaldocarrrasquillo3183 that and age effects. Here Big boss is 39, in phantom pain the real big boss is 49, and venom is around 52-53 being 3-4 years older than boss.
hell yeah, a lot of people choose solid snake over big boss, but for me big boss is the top dog. the dude is the og naked snake, he had to kill the one person who taught him everything he knows and the one person he truly loved. it's that revenge transformation that i love about him. everything he has done throughout the metal gear story had a reason behind it. to show everyone what happens when you fuck with the wrong person.
Well Big Boss is bad guy after all ( Metal Gear - not Metal Gear Solid) and he is madman, Solid Snake is innocent (mostly) good guy. I wish there will be remake or new game that closses few gaps in series but since Kojima left I guess we will get only MGS Survive
