“ALL FIRETEAMS THIS IS CP! DO NOT APPROACH THE BOX, IT WILL TAKE YOU WITH ITS BALLOONS. ADVISE COMMITTING SUICIDE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, YOU CANNOT FIGHT IT. DO NOT TRY.”
*one guy dies* "CP, CP, THIS IS ZOYA 4, WE'RE GETTING OUR ASSES KICKED, WE NEED BACKUP, NOW!" "THIS IS CP, UNDERSTOOD, SENDING THE ENTIRE SOVIET TANK CORPS TO YOUR LOCATION! OVER!"
@eviltreemonster But last time this happend to me I came upon an answer, the game isn't stupid,it's just that I must have killed a lot of guys before the alarm was raised and the low amount of guards triggered that radio convo.
@eviltreemonster The game (or Kojima) actually doesn't want you to kill anyone since they can all be part your Mother Base. The player sees the Diamond Dogs as their family so you wouldn't ever really want to kill any of them. However, every Diamond Dog was once trying to kill you as they were your enemies, the very ones that were patrolling to find and eliminate you. Since any of them can be part of your "family", it adds more to the way of thinking that "you're killing somebody" or "you're taking a human life" as they are all unique, like real human beings.
@@thecommentsuperhero8578 But the part where you just become bloody all over your body is annoying. I would rather just have the face bloody rather than all.
Fun fact. This game has escalating alerts... When CP is involved you have a ''local'' alert When HQ Talks in radio thats ''global'' alert meaning the entire map knows of your presence I wonder if in development they thought of escalating an alert that made The Soldiers hell bent on killing you to even send tanks and helis after you depending on your level of aggression and menace
@Terraqueo22 sadly , a bunch of things got cuted , including content , and as you can see even the weapons we use are fictional because konami dint wanted to spend much in the game budget. so who knows.. i bet the game had much more to offer , but sadly we will never get what else it was supose to have.
4:11 - Snake Eater had legendary suspense music, but to me this is the most badass sneaking theme in any MGS game. You just feel deadly, and it perfectly captures that 80's action movie vibe. One of my favorite things to do - after ???? many hours - is to is to sortie w no markets/reflex/, minimal upgrades, tiger stripe, basically just get as close to OSP as possible and wreck the base where you first meet Huey. Somehow this never gets old.
If you have the game on PC, I highly recommend the Infinite Heaven mod. It'll let you go OSP on any mission and can adjust guards sight and hearing to be more realistic. That mission where you rescue Huey is my absolute favorite and lends itself perfectly to the OSP gameplay. In fact, I think MGSV going open world was a mistake but the way that mission is laid out is perfect and should have been the blueprint for the others.
@@MattyBoy714 Unfortunately im a console peasant, though i have heard quite a few people share that that mod kicks ass though. Personally i really liked the open world just due to how many unique bases there were, but i do find that the experience rapidly becomes hollow at some point. Nova Braga fucking rules too, though. I bet the assassination mission there would be pretty satisfying to do w outer heaven running
I think you'll like Grauzone - Film 2. Released in 1981 and used to jam it infiltrating FOBs. Also for fun: D.A.F. - Kebabtraume DAF im dschungel der liebe DAF Der Mussolini Peter Schilling Major Tom Völlig Losgelöst
Thank you very much for this and an extra thanks for including the names of the phases. I was looking for "Afghanistan, Alert" but didn't know what to look for.
Can somebody link me a video or part of this video where the suspense has a beat? I remember playing the game and then a Soviet Soldier got suspicious of my position and radio-ed into CP that they saw a suspicious person. Afterwards a beated music started playing and it was generally linear too.

There's an alert phase theme that plays... I forget for which phase of it, but I can't find it. Has an instrumental guitarish sound to it. Tried searching for it, but can't find it. Help? 🙁
Most of Metal Gear's guitar themes like this are in either Ground Zeroes or The Phantom Pain. If you need, you can go exhaustively through them. It may take time, but figuring out the distinctions between the different alert statuses and their musical leitmotifs can help narrow the search.
There's "alert" in the title and in the description but there's no actual alert theme in the video itself. TPP's released alert themes are: Unforgiving Sands, Unforgiving Sands v2, African Battlecry, Darkness Roars, Occupying Forces, Rescuing the Children - Alert, Swift Judgement, Steel Embers, The Diamond Campaign, FOB Phase - Alert, White Mamba - Alert, Encounter On The Plains and Fortress. I might have missed one or two. I also excluded boss and escape themes.
This song only plays if the in-game time is between 8 pm - 5 am in Afghanistan. This is the only reason why night time infiltrations in Afghanistan are the most tense of the whole game.
Sounds like a bunch of barely synchronized junk going on in the front and the background... Seriously, I am back to the original quadrilogy OST. Hell, even Portable Ops had a better soundtrack... I won't even start with something completely forgotten like MGA'a OSTs...
Was just relistening all the sneaking music of all mgs. And yes mgs5 was not that good and iconic. Ludwig forsell might be good but he is still too young and unexperienced. Death stranding ist has its moments but overall could be better
