I didn't realise how unprepared I was for this quest when I was in Village gear with my aerial glaive. Somehow managed to get it done in 35 minutes with copious fleeing and mounting. :')
Hey Canta! Love your vids bro. Keep em coming. I want to chime in and give some pointers since Redhelm is a bit of a pain. Most of its moves are easy to dodge except when he does his 2-5 bear claw swipes. The easiest style to use is adept with bow (for me at least). When he starts swiping at you; run away and during the third swipe; dodge into him, and run the other way. Redhelm only turns maybe 150 degrees, and by dodging into him on the third swipe; the last two swipes won't touch you. Also his weak spot are his arms, but in the beginning of the fight; his arms are armored. Break his arms for max damage. Cheers
I used the same low rank rath set and aerial dualblades (low rank dinovaldo, I only just unlocked the high rank a few days ago) and got him down in 20ish mins having used 4 mega pots... which is four more than I expected so yes, he is harder but when you start at 0, 1 is a 100% increase so perspective I guess. Maybe it's because I'm a more naturally defensive minded person that I can play around his more unexpected patterns whereas your speed runner, hyper offensive play style doesn't work. I fought him again before writing this comment (had to remake low rank DBs but worth it for the confirmation), he's not that bad.
I really like your comment, you're definitely right. This guy punishes you for being aggressive. I think it's actually his whole thing given how his hitzones fucking suck but his status resistances are laughable which forces you to take a more defensive approach (trapping, paralyzing, mount spam) rather than going all out and relying purely on skill level. This is why I also hate it so much, since I'm kind of an hyper offensive player too, but I understand what they were trying to accomplish when Capcom designed the monster.
What is the minimum sharpness for deviants quests? i was using green on dreadqueen lvl2 and it kept bouncing off. Do they have different weak spots than normal?
I rarely fight deviants, so I ask: Is the description sarcastic or is Crimson helm that strong? I fought him one time and aside from some wonky hitboxes he didn't seem that bad. My experience with Dreadking was much worse, since he's bouncy and flies all the time. Soloing him just wasn't fun. edit: Watched the video. Not sarcasm. Got it. Looking at his moves, his fury swipes and that fury swipes cancel seem to be his most dangerous moves. Probably much scarier at lv10. Plus no weak parts that are easy to reach, along with adept not working due to fury swipes. Sad how he's one of the hardest yet has one of the weakest armors of the bunch.
Basically, this guy can halve your HP with high rank armor. This is the one deviant I HIGHLY recommend using armor with evade skills for this freight train
Is he really that bad? Or am I just being lazy using evade extender on adept bow and just the range making tremor somewhat irrelevant? May go after him again soon, although I've now got HR Narga armor and the L1 Shaggy Bow, which is pretty damn nice. Once I fight HR Nakarkos, I'll be enjoying that Bow of Hope & Valor a bit too much. (Maybe just then will I actually consider making a proper generalist set and not just a lazy 'critical eye+3 is useful and evade extender is nice with adept' set)
i admit is refreshing watch canta having trouble with arzuros, the first time i decide to solo arzuros back then in hr5, got me by surprise how hard is the skin, i keep bouncing everywhere i hit it, get the red extract is a pain, since he stand in 2 feet a lot, i find it harder than snowbaron and maybe the dreadqueen (with negate poison skill)... OFF-TOPIC: Adept IG Rule, aerial ig sux. >_
Oh the guy in the chat ask a very good question. Redhelm is simple. But komplexity makes no strong fight, just an interesting one. Redhelm is bulky, hits hard and his Attacks have a lot of reach, what makes him hard too avoid. This alone is enough. Simple as fuck, but more then enough. Akantor and Tigrex arent much different. And Redhelm hat a very strong stunchance, a hard too reach weakspot and his elemental weaknesses are very low, only Fire on the Claws is considerable too be called a weakspot. And the hitbox on his Jumping Buttattack...
i made a custom quest on mh4u and it has 5 lagombi's and they are 10% size and when they jump they look like little fleas! It is so funny to watch them jump, it sucks that there can only be 2 at a time though
Dreadqueen and Dreadking are worse IMO. At least Redhelm here isn't poisoning you every 5 seconds, like Dreadqueen, or staying in the air for 90% of the fight, like Dreadking.
Dreadqueen is only a menace the first time you fight her. Once you get her mannerisms down, she's just a LR Pink/Gold Rathian with worse poison. Dreadking, I will admit is a bitch to fight, but as said above, once you get a wing broken, flash bombs help out immensely. With Redhealm... All you can really do is pray and bring a good paralysis weapon, since he's allergic to them. Even in a group, Redhelm at LR is an obscene difficulty spike compared to everything around him, and even when you're wearing HR armor, he hits harder than half the monsters in HR... AT LEVEL ONE. BALANCED, THIS PIECE OF INSTA-STUNNING ARMORED SHIT WAS NOT!
I would hardly consider aerial style after watching this video... though I don't have the game. Surely after any aerial jump he will be already attacking, even If you jump while dodging one of his attacks.
I can honestly say Capcom turned Azuros into a serious threat. Sure, he may not poison you, snowball you every 5 seconds, fly 90 percent of the time, have Golden Lightning, etc. But if you get on the wrong end of this bears claws, it hurts! Sure you can say he's easy to take down, but one wrong move...
There are two issues here 1) is mob always on move, it is not in chaos 2) is you hit the wrong spots. Try to top it to stall its movement and hit the soft spot. Staying on the ground is useless with this one because the ground is his field. You stand on the ground fighting this one is simply toying with it
Setelle Questo non lo so ma nelle FAQ veloci del suo canale twitch dice espressamente che è tedesco e che è preferibile parlare fra la sua community e lui in inglese... Quindi dubito che ti risponda se fai domande in italiano anche se lo capisce...
thats because its dual blades lol, everyone in the chat was making a joke about how he's easy with db haha. but anyway fight him solo with rank apropriate gear. hr 3 and below, same goes for the weapon, that arent duals. predicting him is a little bit harder, since you cant hack and slash like db's, the other weapons need better positioning and timing.
Nope he can kill 3 people one hit plus dreadking was very easy for me take me 1 dya to max out the dreadking armor hell blade 3 days because was my first deviant monster i ever kill plus all deviant monster are very hard for one quest capture now thas hard because they can easy kill you lolol plus start deviant monster when i got the game was out on the 15 thas how i know dreadking is not hard
JJMRA 77777 idk it may be the style u use. I use adept SA, which makes hellblade a fucking joke, as all his attacks are greatly telegraphed and patterned. Dking is a lot trickier, because even if you dodge through his fucking fireballs and poisonous claws, he stays in the air, making him a cunt to hit. He also doesn't have nearly as predictable patterns, at least not in the air.
