things like multiple diablos screams or barioth jumps in a row make me think monsters have a behavior tree where actions have some probablity to occur and they just get a streak of the same action.
im pretty sure thats the case, with ofc exception being chained attacks(tho those attacks are usually only used together in that order so guess you could call it a single attack at that point)
Diablos also just hates being blinded by flash bombs and tends not to do much of anything historically. When 80% of your fighting style revolves around dashing headfirst in a straight line, it makes logical sense not to commit to anything that might concuss you or send you flying off a cliff
How else would it be done? If there was no randomising aspect in what the monster does, you could just exploit them to do the same move over and over again with 100% accuracy to your own advantage
my got burst baited harder than literally any fucking fighting game moment and i say that as someone who watched someone land a counter instant kill by baiting a burst
@David Edosomwan I started on 4U and I was thinking about it back then. I still think it could be done and with Rise having introduced Wyvern Riding, I feel stronger about it now more than ever.
@@kevinc.cucumber3697 I was thinking more like what moders have achieved in Dark Souls. I personally love Wyvern Ride. Wrangling a monster in Iron Silk like a puppet master and forcing it to lay the smackdown on your target is always a thrill.
The closest thing we have to PvP in MH is if two people are wyvern riding at once. I had this happen before with me riding a Gore and one other guy on a Seregios, and we were duking it out until we did our finishing moves. It was fun
Similar thing happened to me in MHWI when i was hunting gold rathian in early endgame, she was capture-able and i was down to my last cart. I shoot her tranq ammo and lay down a trap and just as she charges to the trap out of blue comes a savage deviljho stomping me to death. And i see as the screen fades that Rathian steps on the trap and is captured. 😭 That was a good tier 3 five boxes investigation.
6:14 That Apex Rathian thinking its an Espinas. (Espinas would keep sleeping even when being attacked for awhile. I hope Capcom will give us some Frontier monsters in the main series)
I felt sad for that LS hunter that got bounced off all those eggs. It's like Fate decided to hit him in particular for all the bad karma every single LS hunter ever got for flinching an ally... :/
@Spartus Have you considered that newer players not only don't know what that is/can't get the deco for it. I can tell you're the type of player to chainstun the hammer/greatsword user instead of going for the tail.
The beginning of the video is my defense when I say, as a glaive main, I wish monsters like kushala stayed in the air as much as they did in previous games, because they would just be playing my game.
