Most of the time he squeezes in an axe attack. The one time he didn’t allowed him to delay mounting until Alatreon was flying.

Tenderizing isnt necessary on this run, so its better to grab the monster so it stays still and do your attacks

to extend stagger state and do more dps

If you hit the claw during the clagger animation, it resets the timer for the clagger, so you can deal more damage to it instead of using a mediocre claw attack. The strats differs depending on the weapon, playstyle and the monster. Some weapons like bow and IG have good claw attacks and you have fast ways for attacking after the claw attack, while most weapons are mostly meh For this specific strat, he claws the wings which give him enough time to be able to do a landing axe morph attack, which not only deal a lot of damage, but also deal mounting damage, which he can proc whenever Alatreon is in the air, forcing him to fall down after the mount since you can't use the usual forcedown strats on TA runs (smoke bombs, flashes and the like)
