Also, I don't think it is a worker placement game... I don't see any workers involved.

Sam here...talk to BGG on that one...and in their defense, the gems that you place onto the board are placed in order to try to procure some kind of thing and/or resource...so, it is worker placement, from a certain point of view. I mean, Kingsburg is a worker placement game, but you're placing dice on the board, not workers...kind of the same thing, here, wouldn't you say?...I know I would...and do.

Looks fiddly? Maybe, but there's nothing fiddly in it, it is very smooth, but the set up is a little bit of pain.

Let me clarify. It looks to me like the components are poorly designed. Looks like a good stiff birthday wish could blow the window and cardboard waterfall strips across the room in a heartbeat. And those gem spaces should really be cupped, because looking at it, a minor tap against the board would send them slipping and sliding all over - especially since the strips the gems are being placed on appear to be crooked and wobbly themselves.

also there should be lips on the ledges so the covering components slide better. I sense a ton of frustration in setup and stuff getting knocked out of place throughout the game.

having played this game several times, also with 6-7 year lods, we have never experienced anything like that. The components are fine
