Miami Police Department discourages this act .. BUT be Assured that the Police department will not attempt to catch any criminals themselves. Most will be busy eating donuts at Dunkin instead.
That may be the case, but you dont realize that someone has to fund that operation and take away resources from REAL CRIMES, not people looking to hook up with underage people and underage people looking to hook up with older people which happens thousands of times throughout the day. Are you going to fund this? DOnt Miami have enough gun crimes to stay busy for the next century or is this more important than deterring actual crimes ? If a 15 year old wants to bang a 40 year old, I am sure he is smart enough to know what he is doing and this would not be his or her first rodeo. Now, had the guy kidnapped the kid and was forcing sexual encounter , that is something different but that isnt the case and again, underage hookups happen a few hundred thousand times a day and everyone goes on to live a useless life as they would have done if it didnt happen.
A person 18 years of age or older who intentionally lures or entices, or attempts to lure or entice, a child under the age of 12 into a structure, dwelling, or conveyance for other than a lawful purpose commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. If a person uses or in some way exploits a child for criminal means, he or she could be charged with the exploitation of a minor.
I SUPPORT FREEDOM & OBEYING THE LAW YET I DO NOT SUPPORT THESE SO CALLED VIGILANTES BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT VIGILANTES. THEY OFTEN VIOLATE LAWS THEMSELVES & THEY DO ENDANGER
