These mounts I show in the video help to reduce drivetrain motion while also keeping NVH to a tolerable level. These are hundreds cheaper than other "engineered" solutions out there. Even cheaper than new stock OEM mounts.

Just finished this on my turbo '94. I used three fender washers on each side to get the height right. More vibration from idle to 1500rpm, smooth above that. Much less drive line slop, smoother shifting, and the chassis feels like it's tighter over bumps. Well worth it. Nice find, dude.

I just installed these and I can't believe the difference it makes. My Miata came with solid mounts, and it was rattle box. These make it feel unbelievable, I can finally hear myself as well music. Extremely cheap and worth it, would update if anything happens.

i just installed these mounts last night, definitely better than my oem broken in two ones lol. they’re harsh around the 1-2.5k range but it goes away at the top end. all in all a much better alternative, thanks for the tip!

My main concern and what is stopping me doing this is that if the Jag mounts fail and separate there is no cup to keep things in place, your engine is free to move and you end up with your sump sitting on the subframe

Safety cable would solve this. I don't think it's going very far anyway

@@kyletaylor2181 I did try these in the end but they nearly rattled my teeth out, swapped them out for Mazdaspeed Competition mounts when I went turbo

What about the metal “hat” that covers the top of the stock rubber mount? I don’t think the jaguar puck will fit under it since it’s rectangular and made to fit the stock rubber insert. Have you removed those?

Hey Nick, yes good point, you would leave those off. That’s why using some washers is a good idea to get back some of the thickness or height. There are some mounts that are a smaller diameter, same thickness tho, which would fit within the rectangular hat.

What do you think about using these vs filling stock mount with 3m Windo-Weld.

I don't think window weld will keep the original stock mounts from pulling apart. I suppose you could repair // rebond them with it, but at that point, why not just buy the jag mounts for 30 bucks / pair. 3M is 20+ a tube.

I've just installed these JLM1010 with a 1/4 inch thick fender washer. I spent a good amount of time looking for the stiffness rating for these. Just to satisfy my curiosity. Does anyone know the stiffness? Thanks

I’ve looked for durometer ratings on the stock rubber mounts but never found the number. I’ve seen urethane replacements mounts rated at ‘60’ whatever that means 😁

Cool, let me know. Also be sure to check the oil pan to subframe clearance, you want about a fingers width gap there... the motor will drop a bit if you didn’t use spacers 😊

Boosted Miata Will do. I used 3 washers as spacers, 2 on top and 1 for the bottom.

Boosted Miata These mounts are amazing!!! They work way better than stock, they are cheap, they look better and they were really easy to install. I’m glad I didn’t buy an expensive pair of aftermarket ones. I recommend these to anyone looking for better mounts 10/10

Yes, pulled the engine a few weeks ago and the mounts are almost perfect.

@@Seandoestech These have worked for me too. More vibes than stock mushies but seem like a good compromise. I may do a safety cable on the driver's side since that's the side that would tear away eventually

Oh well.. got the part now but I have NO clue what nuts I should get. went to a specialized screw shop and they measured it to be a "whitworth 24g 3/16" thread. However they never heard of that before and had no clue where to get one of those..

In the video I think he says 3/8 fine thread. Did you try those? That would be a 3/8 24 thread

@@HooverTuber yes he did. I was honestly thinking just go to that specialized screw store and surely they'll have the right size but sadly no and they told me the weird 24g 3/16th. When I measured I didn't actually measure even close to 3/8th bit it was closer than the whitworth so I gave the 3/8 a shot. Surely enough they fit just fine, guy in the video is absolutely right :)

More vibration, but more stiffer and more durable.

@@Seandoestech fair enough. I like the price point makes this a more palatable choice if I don't like the stiffness and want to go back to something stock.
