And he was fucking right, I mean I do not discredit the work their producers or some writers took decisions on the album, but nobody had more rythm than Michael himself.
@@Spider-Complexion This would have been better IMO. Some parts of BBM are pretty good but something about the song in its entirety just doesn't hit the mark.
@@edwin99901 i always found it was the most nasal on the thriller and victory album. then it became darker especially after invincible. invincible in general is interesting cause his voice was changing again, you have tracks that sound like history era vocally and then tracks that sound diffrent, his voice and tone sound darker and the vowels are less nasal and more open. and even more after invincible with "i am a loser" and "beautiful girl".
@@paulgilbert5278 smh, see I haven't even heard of that song, they're just sitting on a fucking vault of songs and HD quality videos, and just refusing to release it. Like bro, WE WILL LITERALLY GIVE U MONEY FOR IT, just please release it
My theory is that the song isn’t “clean “ enough compared to the other songs, this is my favorite mj song these days but the lyrics remind me of something Rick James would have done back then. I think it’s cool that MJ did a song like that talks about street walkers and the night life but it’s not something he is known for. I personally think this song is a masterpiece but well it’s not up to me
Man this man! Born with an innate sense to get down and party. MJ always said his mission and gift to the world is to make people happy, bring joy and entertain..i believe him..totally. He had such a gift to make you dance..his voice and interpretation has so much vulcanic vitality and tease for movement, his own joy is palpable..and add enormous amount of skill, work and creativity..there it is perfect Virgo mix.. it is such a perfection, your jaw drops and you can party hard, get a lesson and fun at the same time! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ love love love this song. I sometimes think..that...Qiuncy was great, but his party sense and the inner joy of dancing must have been kinda NOT there... to miss out on such gems...
Why isn’t this on Thriller 40? This is literally like the best unreleased track from the Thriller Era! I literally transport to the 80s while listening to this song 🔥
Lyrics: Stone shaker is looking fine She's a heart-breaker every time She never seems to realize That someday she'll be crying too, ooh! (She is) a sharp shooter that's moving fast A slight cruiser loaded with gas Slowing down to make a pass You think it's gonna hit you So why not take a chance? 'Cause this is Hot Street (burnin' It Up) Just feel the night beat, yeah (fun on the run) 'Cause this is Hot Street (ready or not) Because the fantasy will never stop On Hot Street, ooh! A street walker when there's time to spare Big spenders holding their share A heart of gold, but no one cares (No one seems to care) Within their eyes Some young lovers are laughing loud And there's some old suckers trying to get down The evening spins around and round (Spins around and round) Yes, people of the night smoking through the dark 'Cause this is Hot Street (burnin' It Up) Just feel the night beat, yeah (fun on the run) 'Cause this is Hot Street (ready or not) Because the fantasy will never stop On Hot Street, ooh! (All night mover) Just trying to put a little fun in their lives (Winners, losers) You see them standing on the corner in the neon light, ow! (Tonight) ooh! Yeah, yeah, ooh! Some feeling you can't explain It's such a hard feeling lying in bed's flame The evening starts to fall again (starts to fall again) It's time to come alive So why not take a chance? 'Cause this is Hot Street (burnin' It Up) Just feel the night beat, yeah (fun on the run) 'Cause this is Hot Street (ready or not) Because the fantasy will never stop On Hot Street, ooh! 'Cause this is Hot Street (burnin' It Up) Just feel the night beat, yeah (fun on the run) 'Cause this is Hot Street (ready or not) Because the fantasy will never stop On Hot Street, ooh! (Burnin' it up) (Fun on the run) (Ready or not) (The fantasy will never stop)
Even on Michael Jackson’s Thriller Album released in 1982, he should’ve added “Sunset Driver” AND “Hot Street” in his album would’ve made more sales for sure! He could’ve made an extended premium album with a CrO2 dioxide “cassette tape” like WHAM fantastic having an extra three more songs.
This must have been a mistake. Or did someone really think it would've been a bad idea to include this unreleased gem on the 40th anniversary release? It's quite disappointing.
Should've been on Thriller 40 such a good song! I can kind of understand why Hot Street was kept off the album as every song on that album still feels ageless and fresh whilst this sounds str8 out of the neon lights of the 80s with all them synths
This song is supposed to be on the thriller 40 album this song is the best song ever I don’t understand why they didn’t put this song on the thriller 40 album
Its a catchy song but I agree it wasnt good enough to be on the same album as baby be mine, thriller, lady in my life, beat it, the girl is mine, human nature etc etc.
@ClutchGene Definitely not better than Baby Be Mine lolz. Hot Street is another example of Rod Temperton's genius and Michael's talent, good song but shouldn't have made Thriller.

the management of MJ's recording material is absolutely questionable, there is no musicological criterion in compiling incomplete editions (ex. Thriller 25 only had For all time in some countries), but only speculative. With Prince R. Nelson they are doing a markedly superior job with the new editions of his albums.
Not at all. This song was perfect for "Thriller" or even "Bad". It's a very 80's sounding track. It would have been out of place on a disco album like OTW or Destiny.
