I recorded maybe 10 games of his ranging from 88-98 and every time I watch on he does something amazing in each and every game. Saw him play in person, same thing. He said he go out there and give the fans a show because he knew everybody would come see him. You don't get that with Kobe or Lebron.

I never get tired of these highlights. MJ's coordination & balance in the air coupled with his physicality was just amazing. And also the footwork in the post. Just so fundamentally sound. Unless you saw him play in real time, and the competition he went toe to toe with, you really won't understand the greatness on display.
@yenigunhikmet

He was a beast, so brutal, so competitive. People who want to compare him, just open your eyes, compare other players highlights. There is Jordan, and then there is the others.

I caught myself laughing while watching this at all the little kids who say that Michael Jordan is overrated and everyone is just on some sort of hype train about how good he was, we wouldn't be saying he's the greatest of all time if it wasn't a cold fact. 😂

WoW Michael Jordan was sooo good that he denied a bunch of superstars to ever win a ring, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing , Reggie Miller, Shawn Kemp, Charles Barkley, Dominique Wilkins, Alonzo Mourning just to name a few LOL. Once when Jordan retired in 98 all these players were like " HELL YEAH HE RETIRED NOW WE HAVE A CHANE TO WIN A RING". Alonzo Mourning finaly won his ring with the Heat in 2006 maybe he should thank Shaq and Wade for that. Michael Jordan to me is the best competitor and over all the best player in the NBA.

Mj won 6 NBA Titles something larry Bird couldnt accomplish. oh btw Majic johnson goes down as best player of the 80`s folllowed by Bird. MJ the Best in the 90`s. Oh and you say MJ was good well go make a video saying that Bird was the better player than MJ and see what people say LOL
@RayRaySoShy

Bruce Wayne YEs i watched Olajuwon play in the 94 finals and 95 finals and if MJ would of never retired after the 93 season im sure it would of been the Rockets vs the Bulls in the 1994 finals. It would of been a great match up but i do think MJ and the Bulls would of won that one. For the Fact Jordan Dominated the Rockets in the regular season anyways.
@RayRaySoShy
@RayRaySoShy 9 лет назад
Like i said make a video and just have the people on youtube decide you was the better player Bird or MJ thats all you need to do. And yes the Bulls rolled over the Rockets man what you talking about man.
@trevorgrube9874
@trevorgrube9874 9 лет назад
Bruce Wayne Well you're not educated. MJ against Birds Celtics was when Jordan just entered the league, playing with a suspect supporting cast against some of the greatest teams of all time(Celtics, Pistons & Lakers). Jordan destroyed those teams, but one man can't beat some of the greats by himself. Jordan is the GOAT without a doubt, most all legends and analysts agree, even Olajuwan, Bird, Magic ect. Olajuwan was very skilled, I believe top 5 of all time, but he didn't bring what Jordan did.
@Hypnofunk
@Hypnofunk 10 лет назад
He always came through and delivered. But he also did this in a way that was truly artistic and well.. epic. Insane stats before first championship, lightyears ahead of the competition. amazing shotblocker. superb on ball defender. demolishing of magic and the lakers. delivering the message to drexler and the blazers in game 1 and the rest of the finals. 42.0 per game against phoenix. Coming back and finishing another 3peat with the fairytale ending last shot. You couldn't dream this stuff up. There was an aura about this guy and his carreer never seen before, or after in sports.

Man I got chills watching this, literally maybe after remembering watching some of those plays live. One thing that stats never show lebron and kobe fans should know is when jordan played any team any night Noone struck more fear into players, coaches, fans then this guy. After watching jordan his whole career you understand how this man had a hatred for losing, you can say that about a lot of people but mj takes the cake. The things he would do to drive his teammates to succeed is what makes him the ultimate leader he is on and off the court. Work ethic was unlike anything you can imagine. I will die in peace knowing I watched jordan his whole career as it was the best times of my life I'm 40 now. And lebron and kobe fans just understand when you watch jordan all those years and witness what we did don't blame us for knocking on today's game and players because for us it's like dating a supermodel then having to downgrade to street hooker.

This video also really highlights how physical MJs game was against defenses that played him tough. The amount of times he gets hit hard yet still scores is amazing. No player today could take that constant amout of physical defense and still score consistently. Truly G.O.A.T.

I don't watch the NBA today because the game is a shell of it's former self. It's boring and it's weak. You have guys standing around the three-point line, tying their shoes, falling asleep and waiting for a pass to come from their "best" player. I can die knowing I watched the greatest basketball player IN HIS PRIME and take on the toughest decade in Basketball (The 90's). The defense was tougher, the rivalries were BRUTAL, and the rules were pretty much out the window. I would take ANY championship team from the 90's and put them up against ANY "champ" from today's game and wipe the floor with them. Sorry, but if you don't agree, you just have never seen basketball played the way it used to be played. The way it should be played.

Agree, and the post game is being lost, it's sad really, it's just like a transition track meet, fast breaks are great, but that's not the complete picture of basketball, and bring back some physicality FFS NBA, can't stand the flopping.

All of his skills cant be matched... This guy can do it all, pass as good as larry bird, shoots like the ray allen of midrange, attacks the rim like derrick rose, as strong as lebron, have the moves second to none, with the heart of an assassin, with the jumping ability of the highest jumper in volleyball, with hands as big as kawhi leonard, and with a mind of an obsessed winner

Yup u young bucks out there that think LB is the GOAT, remember he wore 23 in awe of his majesty, not the other way around. Jordan was so quick - im not saying fast as in a footrace, but quick in burst. Use to be a magazine back in the day when he played called SPORT magazine. They had an article that talked about quick twitch fiber muscle and how he was God given that. That twitchy, jerky quickness. Bron aint got it, neither did Kobie. Kobie had the moves. Bron, as good as he is doesnt. Jordan had very good balance and foot movement to go along with the quickness. Had it all. Hands, jumping ability, drive left or right, developed an inside/outside game.......Bron still doesnt have a strong post game for all of his size and strength. Like he's nailed to the floor in the post without coordination at times. Jordan would kill you all kinds of ways......total threat. GOAT, and its not even close.

Players like Kidd, Grant Hill , Stackhouse, Kobe Bryant, Iverson spanned both eras from MJ to current. All say MJ was the greatest. None of them say, "Well today's players are bigger faster and better than then" or any of that foolishness. If so then that mean Kidd, Hill, and Stack were all better than MJ at the end of their career than when they played against him. Kobe just made a statement saying that 90s were tougher to play in and that today you can't even touch a player and that its way easier to drive to the basket than in the 90s or 80s.

Who were these defensive teams in the '90's you're referring to? '90's were soft defensively. Knicks? Maybe... Indiana with Rik Smits? Ok maybe the Davis boys. But that was it. every team Jordan faced in the finals was soft defensively.

@wendell2712
@wendell2712 10 лет назад
Dude there lost all sense of reality lol 90's teams defenses were soft? In the 90's there was an unwritten rule called the no-layup rule! You weren't coming down the lane, if you were then be prepared to get knocked the fuck out. Pacers, Knicks, Pistons all enforced that rule and then Seattle with the trapping guards later... man, that was DEFENSE. Today you get phantom calls were you brush someone with your pinky toe, they yell and it's a foul.

Watching Jordan during his Carolina days, to his growth and punishment he took from the Cavs, Pistons and eventually the Knicks and still went to beast mode when it mattered: crunch time. Today's NBA is 100% more athletic than the 80s and 90s, similar to how Euro Basketball use to be, with 7 footers that could shoot threes and pass like point guards, but long gone is the toughness that those past players brought. These soft bodies today wouldn't handle Lambeer (sp), Bird, Charles Barkley, M. Malone, Hakeem, pretty much the Pistons, Lakers, Bulls, Celtics, or Knicks defenses in the 80s and early 90s. You might get get dunk for the high light reel, but that would be your last game of the series

People should stop comparing MJ to anyone! LBJ nor KB have nothing on MJ. Talking about LBJ present stats in today NBA being similar/better than that of MJ in his time - are you kidding me?! LBJ wouldn't have been able to put up such number in the NBA of MJ's time. Whereas, MJ would crush all of LBJ, KB and KD's stats if he were playing in today's NBA.

Cursory list of notable victims in only the first half of this video: Mutombo, Parish, Olajuwon, Mourning, Shaq, Barkley, Laimbeer, Ewing, Ostertag, Malone, Daughtery (meh), the Admiral, Antonio Davis, Sampson (I think), Shawn Kemp, the Atlanta Hawks and the entire New York Knicks.

I not about you doing the same things no two persons are alike. It's how proficient and easily one can his craft that makes him a master. The fact of body weight and physics will not allow lebron to do what Jordan does and it's also the same for Jordan when it comes to Lebron. Jordan can't do something's the Lebron can due to physic and body types. But Lebron does need to because he's just a bigger specimen who is fast, jump just as high it not higher, hang time, and everything. But doesn't needs the finest due to his strenght. Like boxing Ali was big and fast like a light weight which is unusual. Due to power Ali move more had finest. Mike Tyson smaller but had power didn't need to move as much. That's LeBron and Micheal Jordan. They both do what they do well but different.

It was after watching this video when LeBron realized he wasn’t the GOAT. Turn in your #23 jersey LeBron. Your being disrespectful! Punk.

Nice. But looking at this, one gets the idea that Jordan could only dunk. Not even close. Leadership, and Defence are what definded the greatest basketball player ever.

Speed 4.3 forty. Height 6 foot 6inches. Vertical 48 inches. He was fundamentally sound & BTW best hands the NBA has ever seen. You can compare others to Jordan but he is the one and only best ever.

Those Bulls/Knicks games in the early 90s were awesome. Those Knicks under Pat Riley played very physical defense almost at the level of the Bad Boys. Great defensive team.
