1:00 As a Millennial, I don't agree. Why do we get blamed for everything?? 🤣🤣 If I had to make an unscientific guess based on friends, colleagues and media members in my age group, I still think MJ would probably be the choice for GOAT amongst 60-70% of us. I was about 5 during the first 3 peat and almost a teenager during the Last Dance. So I have solid childhood memories of MJ's greatness. Which was only reaffirmed and immortalized as a teen and young adult through RU-vid, espn, etc. Now you want to talk Lebron groupies...Shannon and Nick Wright aren't millennials and they stomp harder for Lebron than Gen Z! This is what I've been saying about Chris's biased agenda. He always used to claim to be a fan of Lebron. Well, the brutha just told on himself. Listen to what he said, quote, I "had" a good relationship with LeBron, past tense, not I "have" a good relationship with LeBron. I've been saying forever since LeBron stopped being interviewed and communicating with Chris, his glorification of LeBron has noticeably changed. Similar to Stephen A Smith, who, early in Lebron's career, had a good relationship with Lebron until he stopped giving him interviews. Chris used to defend LeBron all the time, so much that people used to call Chris a fanboy or Bronsexual, but he no longer has the same energy when Rob P or Bron hater Rob G tries to tear down Lebron on the regular. I knew I wasn't imagining shyt. Chris confirmed it when he said I "had"; translation, I used to have a good relationship with Lebron. Thank you Chris, for finally admitting the obvious.

I will play weird devil advocate but the GOAT or at least the most dominant player compared to his competition was George Mikan. In terms of winning NBA wasnt the only main league then and across all of them he won 7 rings in 8 years, even in nba he lead lakers to first threepeat by being the best scorer, rebounder and having the best FG% in the league (Yea it wasnt good by todays standards but was phenomenal then)
@rackball5858
@rackball5858 Год назад
Unfortunately, history has been unkind to Mikan. He should always be viewed as a top 20 player of all time just because he lead the league’s first dynasty. The same argument for Russell not being the greatest applies to Mikan. There were only 8 teams. He’s criminally underrated though for what he accomplished in a 10 year career.

The expansion team argument is a bit weird. If you look at nba records there have always been teams with trash records and teams with great records. There isn't any indication that the level of talent dropped dramatically when teams expanded. It's entirely possible that it just opened up more opportunities for skilled players to play. Bron missed the play offs his first 2 seasons when the east had 3 great teams and trash.

Everyone sees the winning game 5 shot against the Cavs to advance to the 2nd rd of the playoffs, but they didn't see how those CAV teams were kicking our asses during the regular season. Then there were those Celtics, Pistons, Hawks, Bucks, and Lakers teams who sent us fans in the stands leaving the old Chgo Stadium with the "L" look on our faces. Many of rhe advance analytics you hear Nick Wright brag about for Lebron, they actually favor Jordan in most of them. There's like 5 categories and Lebron leads in 2. The other 3 Jordan leads in. Per Jordan has the highest career per. Jordan's career steals are higher. The overall accumulated steals for Jordan is more. Lebron can probably get more only because he has played longer. But currently Jordan has more. Jordan's defense is better. Higher player defensive rating compared to Lebron. Yet most of that is rarely brought up. And often Lebron fanatics want to move on because they know those areas are not debates for Lebron.

If you want to count them, fine. It does not change the fact that he achieved more than any player in history in less seasons. Lebron has played five more seasons than MJ and still trails him 400 plus steals which debunks the myth that Lebron is a better all around player. And Oh, he can palm the ball. The thing with Jordan is that, when he got to the top, he never stepped down. You didn't see him get taken down apart from '94-95 when he came back for 17 games. We never really got to see him fall. He never had a 2008 Finals Kobe moment, or a 2011 Finals LeBron moment. He was the epitome of perfection when he reached the NBA Finals. I always said that if the Spurs had taken down Jordan and Bulls in 1999, his legacy would've been way worse. But the fact that he is 6-0 in the NBA Finals combined with the gaudy numbers, it's almost impossible to knock him off the GOAT status.

Michael Jordan is widely known as the game's greatest player-and for good reason. "MJ" accomplished everything possible in the game, piling up on the stats and awards. On the game's biggest stage-the NBA Finals-Jordan went a perfect 6-for-6, also sweeping Finals MVP in his appearances. The most iconic NBA player the game will ever see, Michael Jordan is legendary. From his sneakers and his Jumpman Jordan logo, to his high-rising vertical, His Airness is like no other. The 6x NBA champion led a Bulls dynasty that will go down in history as one of the greatest dynasties in American sports Jordan transformed the style and substance of basketball, expanding the scope and meaning of athletic achievement. We still see his influence in ways big and small: kids wagging their tongues; the raging popularity plof basketball in China; post-up players leaning backward into defenders before making their move.!!! Here's a point I never hear brought up: people say, "Lebron faced way tougher competition in the Finals than MJ did!". Let's break this down: '91 Finals MJ beats a 31 year old Magic, who was a little past his prime, but was still the 2nd best player in the league, and was 2nd in MVP that season. '92 Finals MJ beats Clyde in the best season of Clyde's career and was 2nd in MVP. '93 MJ beats Barkley in his MVP season AND in Kevin Johnson's prime. '96 MJ beats Payton and Kemp, both in the middle of their primes, and Payton won DPOY that season. '97 MJ beats Malone who won MVP that year. '98 MJ beats Malone again in the season sandwiched between Malone's two MVP's ('97 & '99). Lebron also faced players in the Finals who were in their primes: Warriors and Spurs in '07. If you look at those middle years ('11-'14), not a single star Lebron faced in the Finals was in their prime: '11 Dirk was still a top 10 player, but definitely 2 years past his prime; '12 KD, Russ and Harden were all 22-23 years old. All 2 years before their primes. '13 Duncan was waaaaaaay past his prime, Ginobili was a few years past his prime, Parker was the closest to it, but was past it and Kawhi was 3 years from his prime. Same thing in '14. MJ beat his competition in the Finals when they were at their peak or very close to it. Context matters.

@@georgeprchal3924 I think the 15 cavs team was better. They were more balanced, with better shooting and a better defense. Those Cavs teams were ridiculously underrated thanks to GSW breaking the regular season record and then adding Durant.

@@georgeprchal3924 You seriously believe that the 2013 Miami Heat team is remembered as one of the greatest teams in NBA history? That's funny. Try googling "NBA's all time greatest teams" and you won't find that team mentioned. What you will usually find is 3 of those Jordan Bulls teams, along with some Larry Bird and Bill Russell Celtics, Magic Johnson and Wilt Chamberlin Lakers, Julius Erving and Moses Malone 76ers, and Steph Curry Golden St teams. Not a single mention of the 2013 Miami Heat on any of these lists.

I got news for you. None of MJ’s Bulls teams are top 10 teams of all time. Watered down era with only 2 “stars” per team and barely any good role players. I would take a lot of historic teams to crush any of Jordan’s 90’s Bulls teams.

You need to live outside of America and see his global impact. Everyone wanted to be like Mike around the world but realises soon that there will be one Michael Jordan. His popularity is beyond a rock star or movie star. I'm old enough to watch him play basketball. No other player comes close. Not even LeBron.

MJ never claimed to be the GOAT I believe, thats the issue the more LJ says it, the more desperate he seems. Just like someone who calls himself alpha is not the alpha, GOAT is when people see all the footage and championships then they will decide.

MJ and Shaq are the most dominant players I seen . I have watched some Wilt Chamberlain stuff here recently ,and he's in the conversation .

The word greatness has a definition. Michael fits that definition better, pertaining to basketball, then anyone else ever has. He made basketball truly go worldwide. He made it the most viewed sport in America for a time. He made Nike a multi-billion dollar company and made himself a multi-billionaire just on a freaking shoe deal.... Oh and by the way he was undefeated 6 and 0 in the finals never having to plan a game 7.(shout out to Reggie Miller)

Both guys must be insecure. Why do they have to daily remind us that Lebron is not the GOAT? I've never seen anything like that. If you think the guy isn't great, stop talking about him all the time. You're obsessed.
