Jordan had only 2 all stars and hall of famers to play with his entire career and during his title runs (Rodman had hall of Fame numbers before going to Bulls). During Brady's time in New England, he had a pro bowler and hall of famer at one time or another at almost every position and on both sides of the ball. I hated Brady most of hide career, but we're the same age, so I respect his will to win, but Brady's had a ton of talent to back him up. Jordan did the most with the least of any champion in any team sport. Check the stats and accolades of their respective teammates.

I fondly recall pre-season against the Jazz. 1984-85 season. Tickets on the floor at the old Chicago Stadium were $25 each. We arrived early to watch the pre-game workouts. Rookie MJ shooting jumpers. I shagged a rebound for him. Then watched him destroy the Jazz. No one knew what he would become. The NBA was a mess back then. Cocaine ran the show. Orlando Woolridge should have been Scottie Pippen, and was for a time, before the cocaine took him down. I am fortunate to have witnessed the birth of the Bulls dynasty. This will never happen again. Picasso on the circus-floor hardwood. Lessons learned and legends made. Amen.

MJ's measurables (jumping ability, speed, agility, etc.) would still have him in the top 1% in today's NBA. Then you add the huge hands, footwork and fundamentals. Add to that the intangibles (competitiveness, creativity, clutchness, etc.). And finish it up with the aesthetics (the beauty of his game). It's as close to perfection as you can get when it comes to being a basketball player.

I watched Jordans entire career for the most part. When I was a kid we had WGN Chicago, one of the few channels that we did have along with TNT out of Atlanta, so I got to watch Jordan and Dominique and it was great!

This dunk represents allot to me. Doc was the first player ever to be the smaller guy dunking on the bigger guys. Jordan was the only other player to do that, and he did it many more times than Doc did in many more games...

Dunks spectacularly, then trots back on defense. No yelling, chest-thumping, contorted faces, etc. How did we get to the point of average NBA players going nuts over routine dunks?! They need to go back and watch old footage of MJ and Dr. J.

So amazing. I'm just thankful to have grown up in an era when I could see him play live on t.v. most nights during the season on WGN (channel 6) or TBS (channel 4) if they were playing the Hawks. You never knew what he was gonna do. Revolutionized the game of basketball.
