Michael Kay is tripping. All fans want is for the Cashman and Boone to take accountability. That’s really not much to ask. Other organizations take accountability all the freaking time
Keeping Cashman for 13 year and what he doing isn’t working or bringing a championship. Fire 🔥 him. Fire Aaron Boone if next year his 6th season doesn’t bring a championship. Time for new GM and manager
Definitely. So this is supposed to be an outlet where the fans can vent about the Yankee nonsense but Kay wants to yell at fans because they're pissed. What Kay is doing is siding his aggression with the wrong argument. Thankfully Don is always the breath of fresh air.
Exactly, Kay just argues whatever the opposite point it with little logic. I know Kay is smarter than this but yea Don is definitely the voice of reason.
@@frankmanto670 Actually did not like Don in the beginning because I didn't like the cut of his jib but he definitely has grown on me and always makes the most sense!!
Oh, wild to see Don completely understand the Yankee fanbase's frustrations while Kay somehow manages to spin it into some strawman argument against the fans for the zillionth time.
Don’t Sign Judge For More 7 years 225 million, big mistake. The Astros were in the same situation with Carlos Correa big contract demand and let him walk. Astros GM James Click knew re-signing Correa would cost the team resources that could instead go toward building depth. got Jeremy Peña.
Don is 100% right and Kay is his classic Yankee boy self. "I saw a few tweets that were absurd, and what do you want them to say?" Exactly what your co-host is saying they should have said.
this whole crap about injuries is nonsense. When you look at the injuries it was literally DJ (who is technically a utility player) and two bullpen guys. That's it
I almost nodded to sleep while listening to the YES network conference between Boone and Cashman earlier this afternoon. They can make excuses as to why the Bombers failed to seize the ALCS, such as the staggering number of injuries the players underwent before the postseason. Yada, yada, yada all you want, Aaron and Brian. As long as there's a sliver of living breath in me, I don't see the Yankees will redeem and triumphing grandiosely to win the World Series in 2023, as long as Brian and Steinbrenner continue to obtain mediocre and older players to "improve" our battling and bullpen rosters. Brian will unobjectively receive and sign a new contract, thanks to Hal, who amply put his trust in him after 24 years as the organization's general manager, alongside Boone, who will again lead the way in managing the team next year. As far as Judge is concerned, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns down Cashman's revised contract offer and returns to his hometown state of California, playing with the Giants or the Dodgers. The Yankees may obtain the American League East title, but that is as far as it goes, knowing the Astros will AGAIN breathe down on their necks coming to the playoffs next year. UGH!!!! I will not be looking forward to the acquisitions, prospects, and expectations when the Winter Meetings commence next month :'-(
The difference is the Astros don't make excuses when they lose. They regroup and make adjustments, they had to deal with injuries and a star pitcher under performing
So basically Kay thinks injuries killed them. I’m of the opinion that in full force the Astros beat them in 5. If Kay really believes they needed to be healthy, you can tune out next year when they deal with injuries.
If the Yankees think their process is even close to the Astros and Rays they are asleep at the wheel. The Rays and the Astros think the Yankees process is great also. Keep it up. Smh.
I understand what Mike K is saying, we the fans want Cashman or Boone, or Both fired, we also want them to take some accountability for the team’s No-go WS streak, but Cashman or Boone is it ever going to says he’s wrong, and they’re going to talk shit about themselves, it’s never going to happen. So until Hal grows a pair and gets rid of them, we’re screwed unless a miracle happens. For us fans to think they’re gonna trash themselves and or fire themselves, would we do the same thing to ourselves. Hardly not everyone looks out for themselves and that’s what their gonna do.
Plan and simple. If the Yankees don’t build a Team to beat the Astros in the offseason, then 2023 could be another failing season. Judge bat was quiet in playoffs. Don’t offer him a big contract, used that resource for 2 dominating starter pitchers.
The Yankees squad as it’s presently constructed won’t win the 2023 World Series as it’s not on par with the Astros, Dodgers, Braves and Mets. It appears that aside from bringing back Rizzo and Judge and signing one upgrade in Rodon, it’s stay the course as usual.
I wish the fans had a chance to join these press conferences. That way they can boo Boone, Cashman and Hal for every excuse, lie and bullshit they try to spin. The media doesn’t hold these clowns accountable so I guess that’s our job. But wait no.. we’re not supposed to be booing either. Because that’s why Judge might leave right?
Most Yankee fans know the deal,Cashman will be there for life and Hal might be a great guy,but not as passionate as his dad was when he was alive.I want action and not the yearly BS thrown around.Don should have asked Cashman questions and too bad many others are too weak.
THIS IS HOW BABOONE'S ENTIRE INTERVIEW WENT ON KAY'S SHOW & AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE....."YA KNOW, YA KNOW, UUUH, BUT, YA KNOW, UUUUM, YA KNOW, BUT UUUH YA KNOW, YA KNOW, UUUUUH... WENT LIKE THAT FOR THE WHOLE DAMN INTERVIEW! WHAT A 🤡 SHOW!!@@
No sane GM who wants to move players will say so and diminish their worth or a manager who knows the deal.Cashman is still in denial about his analytical team.Don is more accurate on the pulse of Yankee fans. They are not a good fitted team that is built for the season. He should say we look to improve on how to get more contact hitters.
We expected what's in the teams values: greatness (in defeat as well), humbleness and accountability. Cashman admitted on requiring to change the SO Rate, but in turn there's no one to blame on the Hitting Coaching Staff: wth ??? Most players didn't shorten or compacted their swing for the PS ? So no modifications at all (let's rely on bombs status quo): is that a healthy strategy, at the expense of so many whiffs ???
