Not a Jets fan, or a New Yorker for that matter, but my God I was heartbroken and stunned watching A Rod go down. I don't even really like him as a person at all either, but I just wanted to see what this loaded Jets team could do with the supposed final piece. Just awful for all of sports.
What is silly....is you discounting The Jets' unique QB situation. Wilson is not just a backup...since his debut until today Zach Wilson is the worst QB in the entire NFL. No team has a worse starting QB penciled in for week 2 complete. It's a much worse, unique, situation than your gross over simplification
This is the umpteenth show I've heard where Jets fans are described as being pumped up and hopeful for this year's jet team and then being sorely let down immediately from jump. That describes my dating life. 😂
They should have had a plan B for this situation Seems they where putting all chips on Rodgers that was a big gamble don’t think 🤔 Wilson can carry the piano 🎹 on his back the whole season
Well that's why you need to pick a OL w the #2 pick but you decided for Zach Wilson, and then traded up and gave away picks. He also drafts RB, CB higher then drafting needs
@snerdterguson your preaching to the choir lol. With the amount of top picks the Jets had there's no excuse no Fing excuse they don't have 4 young solid OL. I'm over this GM Clueless Joe. He needs to go
Just ...End..The .... Season.....its true...the jets are cursed becuz of Joe Namath...... this team aint goin nowhere with zach wilson...every one is just happy because if the win
The jets should be able to go and get another quarterback before it's too late not wait until the time is not going to come and bring them a good chance of finding someone else
In the grand scheme of things.....would you rather never had it (basically what we got now) or he gets hurt when they are 8-3, cruising and have legitimate SB aspirations? This is so depressing. NY sports are a mess.
I wish you were correct but unfortunately you need to check yourself into the nearest mental hospital for thinking that. Wilson is the worst I’ve ever seen, he will never be good.
Zach Wilson got a raw deal last year. The Jets started out 5-2 last tear with Wilson at QB Then Belichick outrcoached Jets OC LaFleur badly two games. Instead of LaFleur manning up to how bad he was, he threw Wilson under the bus and scapegoated him. It was all BS Sure Wilson has flaws, but there is a lot there. And, you will notice that the Jets came back and won that game with Wilson, for the most part, playing well
Stop the delusional non sense.... Zack Wilson was absolutely horrible last year.. the interceptions he threw and his inaccurate throws were all on him. Was the OC bad yes...but its not this kid was being held back.... he does not have NFL starting caliber talent..look a The EaglesQB displayed last year or Washingtons rookie QB this year or Jordan love in green bay..he does not display that type of talent a poise. Garret Wilson perform.. Breece Hall performs... Sauce Gardner performs...the young kid who had the walk off TD return last night performed. NO more excuses and codling.. its time for Zack to show he is not a bum.
Sorry, the delusional nonsense is listening to a horse's ass like LaFleur. The Kets were 5-4 when Wilson was benched and went 2-6 after that. Who is the delusional one? And LaFleur's toxic reign of error try to destroy only one talented high draft pick. LaFleur also tried to ruin Denzel Mims, Elijah Moore and Mekhi Becton. Open up your delusional eyes to see that the biggest coaching enemy the Jets had last year wasn't Belichick, but LaFleur
@@ortforshort7652 Except Wilson lost the locker room. And it wasn't even because of his poor play, it was because of his attitude. Sure, LaFleur could have approached or utilized him differently, but he's not to blame for this kid's entitled attitude. Maybe being humbled last year and growing up a little this year will help rally the team around him.
@@steves9964 Pure BS on LaFleur's part. LaFleur scapegoated him and as soon as the clubhouse lawyers saw that LaFleur no longer had Wilson's back, they started opening their big mouths. You'll notice that the team went straight downhill after Wilson was benched. 5-4 with him. 2-6 without him. LaFleur is the one who lost that locker room, not Wilson
@@ortforshort7652 I don't know, I think you're giving LaFleur too much credit. He should be hired right now as an HC if he had that kind of clout with an entire locker room. For me the loss up there in the second New England game when Wilson was putrid and the defense basically pitched a shutout only to lose on a walk off punt return was the turning point. He was horriawful, and steadfastly denied that he let the defense down. That position lost everyone. I'm not defending LaFleur or saying he was great or anything, but sometimes the player has to accept accountability. That's the territory that the QB and the HC inhabit. They must inspire confidence and fall on the sword when things don't go well. I think his record was overblown as was the collapse down the stretch when he mostly didn't play. For me it was a big deal that the Jets had to play not one but TWO teams coming off of Thursday games, and both on the road (at Minnesota and at Buffalo). They also played Miami (at home) and at Pittsburgh earlier in the year when those teams had played the previous Thursday. I can't understand how one team could be scheduled to face four opponents in one season under those conditions, with three being on the road.
Maybe if jet fan learned to keep their mouths shut, stay humble, and stop pounding their collective chest and proclaiming victory before they win anything, (can you say Mets) the football gods might cut you a break, but that will never happen so....
@@protozoa7014 Really, what makes you come to that assumption, I been listening to this met/jet crap for decades and it's always the same, maybe you're the one who's new..
@@throughmyeyes... Sounds like you just hate the Mets and Jets. It's all good, but don't tell me Giants and Yankees and whoever else haven't also done so. I remember a Yankee holding a balloon up in the dugout for the cameras during the 2000 WS which read "Mets in 3000". Classy stuff...the difference is that these "other" teams - especially the Jets - have always had the media waiting to pounce when things go south while the traditional teams get a pass.
@@steves9964 No I really don't hate either team, and there was a point when, although I have been a fan of the other NY teams since birth, I would have been happy for either the mets or jets to do well for their long suffering fans, my wife falling into that Jet category, but it just seems like as soon as the team makes any moves, especially big moves, the hardcore fanbase (not the rational fan) just starts pounding their chest and running their mouth about how they're going to rewrite the record books this year, (see the 2023 mets) and it just becomes ponderous and makes me want to see the loudmouth fall on their collective face, which they inevitably do. Don't get me wrong the giants and yankees certainly have their share of this obnoxious fandom, and Im sure they enrage the met and jet fans no end, but I just shake my head and move on from them, but these people now telling me they are just fine with Wilson being their QB, a guy they blamed all of last years failures on and wanted to lynch at one point in the season, is just more stupidity and ignorance that is just very hard to tolerate as a thinking person, just be honest about your situation and stop trying to sell people a bill of damaged goods...
