What a wonderful honourable caring man..clearly had upset him very much too but quite rightly said he treated the devasting news with the dignity michael mosley and his poor family deserve!!.. such sad awful news my heart goes out to his wife and family for their undeniable undeniable loss! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@kevin-l7r7p I fear it may be a suicide. He left his phone behind. If this is the case it is sad he didn't have support. To be a celebrity can be a curse
@@SaundaryaYogaMarga why does it have to be suicide. He is a celebrity as well as a doctor, probably just wanted some peace and quite whilst on Holiday. Not everyone is glued to their phones
@mand7favs1 unfortunately for people who are experts in suicides is not difficult to see the same pattern. A celebrity has so much pressure to live up to people's expectations that they feel they can't afford to be weak. I also fear it was a suicide. Whatever the cause of death it was indeed a tragic end. My thoughts with the family but also with all those who don't find a helping hand when needed. I was deeply touched by the reporter who has immense compassion. A rare quality nowadays ❤
@@leejones982 I agree. She just continued to steam roll in asking more questions without giving the man a minutes grace & being respectful to what he had witnessed & had just relayed to her. Journalists lack empathy & respect at the best of times!
The locals on this lovely little island have been so helpful and kind, and have definitely stepped up to the mark in their search for Dr Mosley. They couldn’t have done more. As for this poor camera man, he’s obviously in shock and is distressed by what he has witnessed. He is a good man with a good heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been involved in the search, the recovery of the body and Dr Mosley’s family.
@@Salutimondo He in fact did arrive safely at Pedi his destination, but decided to continue on down to the seaside, unfortunately he took a largely unmarked route which was quite hazardous and underestimated the dangers. Such a sad loss..................
@@jamesutting7025 Yes a very sad loss but at least he has left an enormous beneficial legacy to millions of people. Pedi was only part of the way to his destination though. His accommodation was in Symi Town and once reaching Pedi he should have caught a bus the rest of the way or walked. It appears he chose to walk but unfortunately went in the wrong direction. 😥
@@Salutimondo He seems to have wanted to simply go for a nice long walk and explore the local areas, despite it being hot. He also was also seen using an umbrella as a sunshade and as he was a doctor I am certain he would have taken a bottle of water and kept himself hydrated. I don't think he was going in the wrong direction at all, the evidence shows he was headed for ocean and the route he took was largely unmarked. He indeed got close to reaching the seaside, but ;lost his footing and fell to his death. I am certain they perform an autopsy to see if there were health conditions which could have caused him to fall such as a sudden stroke, heart attack or multiple other causes. At the moment it simply seems to be a case of death by misadventure.
Many thanks to the Greeks of Symi and the Greek government, who, under difficult conditions and with 45 degrees, searched the island with all the means at their disposal, to find the missing person.
@@Rosskles It is an area known by the local population to be quite hazardous, the route he took is not easy to navigate and the steep slopes are rocky. It is also an area known for having loads of snakes. It would be very easy for someone to loose their footing and fall to their death. The probable reason the body was overlooked was due to the fact the locals were grimly aware of the dangers of the treacherous terrain. This fact made it very difficult to thoroughly search these dangerous areas. Understandably the search teams didn't wish to meet the same fate as Michael Mosley, the search crews would have also been strongly advised that certain areas are dangerous on foot. In addition it was quite hot on the day Michael Mosley vanished 37c to 40c, search dogs were used in the search and the dogs could only tolerate the local conditions for a few short hours.
@@anireseegam6128 After making it safely to Pedi it is obvious that he decide to venture out along a route to the sea, that route is known by locals to be more treacherous, due to steep slopes, loose rocky terrain and a sizeable snake population. Perhaps he was not aware of the dangers of taking that route or underestimated the hazards. It is known that the search for Michael Mosley shifted to the route from Pedi to the sea after failing to find him during exhausting searches of other areas along the route he took to Pedi. I believe the focus of the search shifted to the route from Pedi to the sea in the final 24 hours of the search for him. Because of the dangers of the terrain it was a cameraman on board a boat which got close to the shore that spotted something while using the Zoom function on his recording equipment. Even after 2 passes by the boat, they still could not be certain it was a body they had spotted. They went back to shore and used an iPhone to further magnify what they had recorded from the boat and only then were they certain they had indeed spotted a body onshore. All things considered, that makes thoroughly searching these areas safely very difficult, the locals know too well that other people have met similar fates and were grimly aware of the dangers of the local terrain Take a long hard look at pictures of the area were Michael Mosley was found there are steep slopes covered in loose rocks and it is known there is a sizeable snake population on the island, it is very easy to see how a misplaced step could result in someone falling to their death, the locals know the dangers and which areas should be avoided at all costs. When all things are considered, Michael Mosley most likely underestimated the hazards of the local terrain and met his death via misadventure.
And being shown around the world that must have some implications too. They knew it was becoming a big story but this outcome has catapulted things to new devastating heights 💔
Dr Mosely was such an endearing man with a twinkle in his eyes and compassion in his heart , with an adventurous spirit and curious mind and he will be remembered as such by many who knew him or saw him in his many TV appearances.
The citizens of the island of Symi seem an incredibly decent community. What kindness and compassion. Greece should be very proud of there conduct. My thoughts and prayers to Dr Mosley's family at this time.
I was lucky enough to spend a holiday there and the people are very nice and helpful to everyone. I am thinking of Mr Mosely's family and glad they know how people cared both here and on Symi.
I feel so sorry for this poor man, something that will never leave him now. The people of this little island have shown the world how big their hearts are and how much they care about their visitors.
Camera operator Antonios is an incredibly compassionate human being - dreadful tragedy with the worst of outcomes however Antonios did such brilliant work to find the awful truth for this search had proved incredibly difficult - His heartbreak is genuine for the news is devastating for the Mosley family - Their only consolation is Michael is now found - RIP.
Render to caesar what belongs to caesar and to God what belongs to God. Rahab is the One who sits still. It means that life goes on for everyone thanks to Elohim
What a caring and compassionate man, the grace, the respect, the show of emotions and expressing condolences to the family. He’s clearly shaken up and moved by this. Hope he has good support around him.
What a good man, the reporter is of course doing her job with the questions but could do with a few lessons in tact when the man is clearly upset. Thoughts to the family and I hope this man gets some support
I know Symi well. All on the island will grieve deeply - it is a tiny place with a lot of wild and beautiful areas but only tiny villages and a town. Very sad loss for Dr M's family.
“Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun”. Unfathomable decision by a GP to go for a walk in searing heat, in dangerous, unknown territory without his phone. Thanks to his caring rescuer, sincere sympathy to his family and RIP Dr Moseley.
Here in Greece we have FILOTIMO. Something that can't be described correctly to other nations. We value other people like friends, like family. That's why Antonios is extremely sad. Mr Michael Mosley I'm very sad that your holidays in our beautiful greek island ended this way... My sincere condolences to the family and friends.
What a lovely kind compassionate man, he summed up just how we are all feeling. This is just such devastating news. Can’t believe this as happened to our lovely Dr Moseley🐞
I think the Greek response to this disappearance has been marvellous and commendable. Regrettable ending to the search, bit at least the family now know where he was, as the not knowing would be awful.
What a kind and gentle man who’s thoughts are clearly with Michael and his family rather than his own at this tragic time. . I hope he is able to process this and I wish him the best. ❤
Sincere condolences to Dr Mosley's family. May GOD give them all the strength they need at this tragic time. 1:34 Antonios is clearly a lovely, thoughtful, caring man and I pray his loved ones give him the support he needs.
@jamesharris9816 this meant to been on the main feed not in the comments section, I never meant the guy who found him, I mean the simps in the main feed, sobbing while typing like they knew the guy personally. 👍
I both feel sorry and grateful for this kind, sensitive man. Sorry that this affected him deeply but also grateful that he was the one to give the family some peace and closure. There's also another English man who went missing 5 yrs ago but they never found his body.
I would like to see more of people like Antonios. He is compassionate and behaves with dignity. As many of us have picked up on - it is fitting that he was the person to find another principled person who worked towards bettering all lives.
Antonios the Cameraman used all his skills and unlimited resources to help, what an incredible man. I hope he gets a better resource man can do the job.RIP Doctor💔
This nice man, clearly emotional, says hes really sorry for the family and the apparently dim and insensitive reporter asks him if he has anything to say to the family. Then she asks him how he's feeling. It was obvious how he was feeling, but no, lets squeeze him for more emotion for her report. Ugh.
Such very sad news, dear Dr Moseley was quite simply, a lovely, kindly well respected man, Rest peacefully Sir. This wonderfully compassionate gentleman will need loving kindness himself, please look after him well. 😢
Devastating news. Dr Mosley was such a lovely man. This poor man who found him. Just terrible for everyone involved. 😢 RIP Dr Mosley. Sending love and condolences to family and to all involved.
Such a sad, sad loss. What a lovely, kind guy and genuine interview, rare these days. My thoughts and praises are with Dr Mosley's family at this difficult time.
He was walking, realised he's in trouble so he's got to the fence line and tried to get down to the water, no foul play just a very bad mis calculated activity.
He walked to his own death, how tragic! Definitely a wrong decision to leave his group and walk such a distance in the heat. Completely suicidal. Can't believe his wife and friends were comfortable letting him go knowing he was unwell!
