I have been following Dr Mosley for years. I feel like I lost a dear friend

We have lost a brilliant man ,a brilliant scientist & a brilliant broadcaster !...my heart goes out to his wife & family !!

Always so enthusiastic, so engaging, a sad loss for us all.

I followed his fasting advice. He struck me as a genuinely nice guy that I'd have gladly enjoyed a chat with. Thank you Michael Moseley and well done for everything you achieved. I'm just sorry you had to leave early.

Michael Moseley was one of very few people I would see in the media where I would stop, listen and take note. He spoke sense and captured my interest. He was clearly a top man and I can only imagine the loss his passing has brought to his nearest and dearest. God bless him and may he rest in peace.

This nearly happened to me once at the seaside. I decided to climb a steepish slope. It was fairly easy but when I looked down it was steeper than I expected and I couldn't see where to put my feet. So I had no option but to carry on climbing as there was nobody else about. Fortunately for me I managed to get to a plateau at the very top and a pathway backdown to sea level. Moral - do not EVER go climbing alone.

I am from Tamil Nadu , Southern part of India. I am a big fan of Michael Mosley. It was personally an enriching journey for me . "Inside the Human Body" was a master piece . There is lot to celebrate his legacy. It is sad to know, i will not get enriched by him any longer. His work has saved many .... including me

He must have had something special about him because if I happened to be channel surfing and landed on one of his programmes I'd stop changing channels and watch. He made food science understandable and interesting.

He died 2.5 hours after setting off! Wow, it is frightening how quickly heat can attack the human body. I am still shocked why all the CCTV from across this very small island was not routinely reviewed. They only reviewed the footage 4 days later after his body was found 😔. It may have already been too late to save him, but had they viewed the footage, it would have saved the family 4 days of agony.

His death was so random, I really can't make any sense of it. RIP Dr Mosley. 😥

Let us all simply celebrate Dr Mosley's TV ,Radio work and work as an author to bring complicated things to the public in simplistic ways the result is improving peoples lives, through understanding. Look for example irrespective of profession heatstroke has the same effect in human beings. When I was a young man on military ops in extreme temperatures seen guys develop it and then after long period of time an incongruous serge of energy followed by collapse. It creeps up on you. Being a Doc has little to do with it. All sorts can be going on during its development including thinking processes.

A tragic loss to the World. Dr Mosley had an amazing ability to engage with people, a very likeable, brilliant person. He was able to explain health in simple terms and activate people's interest in their own Health. From Sydney Australia, I have been following Dr. Mosley's work for many years and applying a lot of it to my lifestyle. His 5:2 Diet book is based on solid science and actually gets results. I'm sure I speak for many when I say "Dr. Mosley, we in Australia will sadly miss you, Rest in Peace". My deepest condolences to the family..

I don’t believe that he got lost. He was an adventurer and probably fancied the idea of a long walk around the peninsula. The speed he managed tells me he was fit and had it been cooler he’d have made it easily. Heat stroke most likely.

I can, see his enthusiasm and why he may have wanted to walk that way and maybe climb to the top of, those rocks to the top. He was a go getter. With the, heat and his own health problems as well it could happen to, any of us. Just terrible bad, luck and and a stark reminder to all of us. It's very sad news. I grew up watching science documentaries, and with a particular interest in biology and medical science, his were among my favourites. I'm now pursuing a career in healthcare. I always thought he seemed a decent and interesting person and really inspired me to learn. I used to do impressions of him as a kid, and always thought I'd accidentally bump into him one day. It's a real shame he's gone. Rest in peace.

I think the thing is people cant understand why such a clever man would take such a risk.

So very sad. Unfortunately, it is as easy to happen as it is to avoid. The scorching heat of Greece in areas where there is hardly any shelter or shrubbery can be as insidious as it is unforgiving. Simi is quite barren and rocky and the landscape dry and rocky. Setting off on a walk in the middle of the day is never advisable and at best you would get away with heat stroke. For what it's worth, it is doubtful he would have suffered eventually having quietly lost consciousness.

I have huge admiration for Michael Moseley's work in communicating health and science. I cannot however not think now of Noel Coward's song 🎶 "only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun " 🌞 High temperatures like that can be swiftly lethal.

He made some unwise judgements regarding hot weather hiking, perhaps became disoriented. It looks like a very sad, unfortunate accident...

MM has been in my kitchen and my life since I read the Fast 800 which totally changed the way I eat. It is a very sad news which I hoped we would not hear, when I heard he was missing. I feel so sad so I can only imagine how Claire and his family must feel. However they will know that his legacy will live on for so many of us. They should be so proud oh him as few people can leave this type of a mark. RiP Mike Moseley -my deepest sympathies to the family.

In recent years, I've been watching BBC documentaries just for him. Ok, nature is very beautiful, but after a certain age, people focus on the human body and health. An irreplaceable loss...😔 I expected more videos about him on this channel this week. He was one of those who made the BBC the BBC. Rest in peace Michael.🙏

Something does not add up here....He was an extremely intelligent man, A doctor, a very sensible and logical man who had the foresight to take an umbrella with him to protect himself from the sun....So why the hell firstly put himself in a situation of peril like he has and the biggest question for me is, why take an umbrella for the sun but no water???...or a phone!! now I assume he had no water as most of the reports seem to be making a point of stating the almost 40 degree heat on the day to convey that as a factor
