One thing Michael had against the movie was that they portrayed him as never playing football before. He was already a player before he met his adoptive family.
yeah I even read his book I beat The Odds really good story which talks about what really happened still for what he went through 2 get 2 where he is today maybe someday if he gets 2 be a dad and his kids think about quitting school or acting spoiled because of his money he'll tell them of his past and where he grew up, reminds me of what NHRA Champion John Force had 2 do 2 his spoiled daughters 2 teach them a lesson after spending $1,000 in a day on God knows what makeup, clothes, shoes, Ipods, 20 pairs of sunglasses, whatever.
Van PastorMan yes he did but also he played basketball and other things... we have to not forget that movies are a little changed (true story movies) so movie becames drama or anything they director wants but the idea was there that he come from nothing and got everything and most importantly love from family

I can understand Michael is tired of it, but you guys don’t understand what this movie has done for me. My parents emotionally abused me, I had nobody. My therapist said I need to have an inner parent that I visualize, and I use the mom and dad from this movie. I needed a family like that to stand up for me, to not abandon me, stand up for me, trust me and support me without judgment. I may not have been from the projects but I was abandoned, neglected and traumatized. This movie literally keeps me sane.

I watched this movie a couple nights ago a gain on television and enjoyed it just like the first time I saw it 6 or 7 years ago when it came out. This woman is a strong alpha mom that dose t take nonsense. It brought me to tears than and again as I watched it the second time. The entire family was supportive and just full of decency. I know the movies are hyped up for the big screen but one has to believe that in real life for this to even happen is one in a billion. Her home became his home. Her family became his family and together he succeeded because of that love and support he received. I truly wish that there was more people like this today in the world. The Beatles said it correct. Love is all we need.
Initially, when I heard the news about the lawsuit, i thought- he must be broke, and what a shame that he would sue the people who took him in and contributed to his success. Those thoughts were completely based off “the movie.” I was so wrong! I apologize Michael, please forgive me I’ve now learned that the “Blind Side” was mostly a false narrative (LIES), but was marketed as a based on a "true" story and “Christian” movie. The fact that those people allowed such a false narrative to be told for fame and fortune, truly speaks volumes. They weren’t even honest in this interview, nor in any interview they've done, professing to be his "adoptive parents." I can understand why Mr. Oher never liked the movie, it was very misleading! It caused people to believe that he was dumb - couldn’t read or write, etc. It didn’t truthfully represent his story - he was already determined, driven, and RESILIENT to overcome the odds. He was already a “successful” athlete, when he met them, which was actually at the age of 16. He started living with them during his SENIOR year in high school. Then, he was off to college, and likely received a full scholarship to play football, given his athleticism. Clearly, it was an investment for them. They are strictly about money, and it shows! 37 years old and still under the conservatorship, why is he even having to SUE to end it? Moreover, IF it’s true that he didn’t receive not even a red cent from the movie, as he alleges, and they all profited- children included, he has every right to sue. That’s just pure evil. Actually, the entire situation, and it seems that they were plotting and scheming from the very beginning.
There's an interview with 13 years ago on YT Channel OEyeCu812 titled "Huckabee Interview with The Tuohy Family Who Adopted..." The daughter states: "Mike and I spent a lot of time together before he became part of the family. I cheered and he played football. And we both did track. We were already acclimated to knowing each other before the BIG PUSH to move him in". The mother also stated the writers took creative liberties. And he was not homeless when she picked him up that night walking in the rain.
@@hunter702lv What's sad is two grown adults taking advantage of a teenager by lying about his adoption and then making him look like a buffoon so they could exploit his image and swindle "well meaning" whites who just love a feel good story instead of the truth.
The Tuohys are mighty fine people, all of them, to have done for Michael Oher, what they did. Took him into their home, made him feel part of their family, paid for his expenses, tutoring, pushed him to succeed, and supported him in every way, all the way. What compassionate and fine human beings. If only every lost child had this love. What a world we would have! Success in every direction.
Umm, you're forgetting Michael was 17 and already great at football, regardless of what the documentary says. He had been playing for years by that time. They took him in and showed him legal documents, which they claimed were to help ADOPT Michael, but that was a LIE. Michael barely found out that this ENTIRE TIME he's been in a LEGAL CONSERVATORSHIP, which means this family has complete control over his money and anything involving Michael. They and their kids have been receiving Michael's money and residuals involving deals they made in Michael's name. These mighty fine people have ALL been living off of Michael this entire time. MICHAEL only lived with them for less than 1 yr. Michael would have become an NFL FootbaLL 🏈 Player regardless of the Tuohys. The Tuohys ARE NOT SAVIORS, they're opportunists.
I think they loved him and did what they thought was right. I don't know what happened with the money, of course he should be compensated if others are profiting off his story. But I don't think the Tuohys are bad people.
So very proud of everyone involved in Michaels success!! His incredoblen atural talent has brought him to where he is . Congratulations Michael !! Well done everyone in helping this young man realize his full potential !!
Just watched the 10 minutes summary about that movie could not stop the tears flowing down, I will definitely watch this movie. Lots of Love from my side to such kind of helping people. Love from India
Sandra bullock was such a great casting...that's dialogue of she is like an onion..one peel at a time..when he goes and says need a proper hug can bring tears on anyone's eyes...great movie..
I totally understand Michael's statement of being 'over' the movie. It's not him saying he wished it never happened, it's just him wanting to move on with the life he's living. No one enjoys living in the past, or constantly having to answer questions to the past, and it's very clear here that the Tuhoys have never once looked back in question to take a young man into their home. The love they show is genuine, even Collins - you can tell - is proud of her 'brother' Michael!

I agree, the movie is so inspirational. Leigh Anne said it best, families don't have to match. But.....the movie portrays Michael as not knowing how to play football when in fact he did know how. Also they portrayed him as being real shy, but he isn't.
I worked at Braircrest, when Micheal Orr attended....He always spoke, and with the Yes maam, and No maam...I remeber how popular he was, but he always was very Respectful.
Interesting now that the truth about the so-called adoption has come out, the Touhy’s should be ashamed of themselves by enriching themselves and their children, off of a young talented man and profiting off of him for years, if the allegations in his lawsuit prove to be true.

There’s no reason for him to hate the movie that’s all about him, I loved and it was touching. It might not all be true but it did explain how lucky he is to have found a family that welcomed him with open arms. Cause before he had no one and nothing now he has parents and a brother and sister he’s super close to.
This is and were and still his a great movie to watch ant anytime and he still is happy and just being himself/ he just don't want the spotlight on him cause he is more than the movie and more then a TV's accomplishments)( People with cameras keeps missing the emotions of how a person really feels

This movie was so inspirational to me. I understand he may be sick of all the questions and things about the movie and like any movie based on a true story isnr going to be stretched. I wouldn't be happy with the way a movie portrayed me even if it were totally accurate, but he should own up to it and realize how inspiring it is
