that’s a great story. just awesome.

You never know, the guy he played could have been a homeless Grandmaster, as I know some Grandmasters use to play on the streets for money to survive and were homeless for sometime.

It's just the good ol' Dunning-Kruger effect. The guy meets a bit stronger player and believes he is the best chess player in the world. LOL
