His campaign should simply say "The Democratic candidate isn't mentally fit to debate and the media will try to deflect from it by accusing the Republican candidate of lying about everything". It's clear now why they shut out RFK Jr. I watched his responses to the debate questions and he articulated his vision for our future without vitriol and name calling. He ran circles around the two party choices.

I watched the highlights of the debate and I laughed and laughed and laughed.

If this debate performance turns out to significantly affect the election results, then the whole sequence would be in complete contrast to instances of debate performances in numerous other election cycles, including some that you have mentioned, e.g., the first debate in the 2012 election. It's still the fact that in these instances, the candidate whom the pundits declared as having won the debate went on to lose in the general election. So why exactly is this different now?

You are completely correct. The fact that Biden's mental capacity is the prominent talking point is alarming. For the good of the country he must step aside. Trump must be defeated.

I am a Biden supporter but I have no problem with choice for democrats. But Biden support numbers are holding steady since the debate. His poor performance is not making people want Trump back, and Joe's speech the next day was excellent. He should refuse to do the second debate.
